  1. Hey, guys! New instrumental acoustic track. I hope you enjoy it!
  2. Hellooo! I simply loved Maud Pie last weekend. She was awesome. So, anyway- I finished a soft acoustic/alt rock track inspired on her a few days ago, and I'm glad to share it with you all. I hope you enjoy it! Cheers, and thanks for your time!
  3. I say, we need a pony games subforum! Anyway, hello there, guys! I'm Night Breeze from Silly Mare Games, creator of a few previous games like Stroll, My Little Rhythm and Harmony PCG, and I'm glad to share with y'all a new project I've been working in for some time now: SMG's Nightfall. Nightfall is a 2D platforming game, but it's not the usual idea of a platformer. You can think about it as a mix of Terraria or Minecraft and a tower defense game, if you may, but it's still not quite like that either. I'll give you a quick description (and I excuse myself beforehand, as english isn't my main language). In this game, the main objective so far is to survive. You play as any of the mane six in a huge randomly generated world, and along the day you may explore, collect items and build yourself a fortress with many different type of blocks, being dirt, stone, different kinds of turrets, trees, and the like. After 5 real-life minutes, the night comes, and the peaceful ambience of the game goes away. A swarm of enemies will try to get you, destroying everything along the way. You'll have to survive until the sun rises again, by killing the enemies, strategically building your fortress and using the different blocks, collecting money to upgrade your stats, and more. Each night that comes, the enemies will be harder and more frequent, featuring even bosses along the way, and you'll have to strategically develop your character and building stats along it to survive. Anyway, that's mainly it! The game is still under development, everything is subject to change, and I'd love to know what you think. Here are a couple teaser videos I've uploaded about the project for you to check out (they look really little in here for some reason!): And an updated post I wrote a few minutes ago if you'd like to read further: http://sillymaregames.blogspot.com/2013/06/nightfall-lots-of-updates.html Thanks a lot for your time, and I hope you have a great day!
  4. Ahoy, partners! I'd like to share with you the news. As of yesterday, my very first album "Tales from Far Away" has been released for free. "Tales from Far Away" is a compilatory album of all my pony tracks (as listed in the video teaser), featuring various instrumental genres. Enjoy the journey along an adventurous day through Equestria, and let the music of every moment, scene and memory flow through you. I hope you enjoy it, and be sure to check out my Youtube channel for more! Download available for free (check video's description) or donation if you may. Thanks for your time, and have a beautiful day!
  5. Thank you hugely, friends! I really appreciate your support. By the way, the album is now free to download, so check out the next video for it! (I'm going to make a separate post about it as well).
  6. Hi there, folks! Okay... it's done! After so much hard work, this track AND my very first album are finished. It's all thanks to you guys. If it weren't because of your huge support, I wouldn't even be here. Thank you so much! Anyway, this track is a mix of all my previous pony tracks, completely re-orchestrated and organized into one huge track. It works as the finale of the album, mixing all the stories, scenes and feelings of a big journey: Tales from Far Away. It took me weeks to complete this track... no kidding. You may think it was easy because mostly of its composition were done in the other tracks... but you'd be wrong. This was a whole new challenge, and to modify and combine each track, while maintaining its sense and essence (and the sense of the overall track) was surely a hard task. Nevertheless, I enjoyed every second of it, and with patience and hard work, I was able to pass this challenge... and I'm really glad and satisfied with the results. I hope you enjoy it, guys. It's been a beautiful journey so far! Thank you hugely for your time and support! As some of you may know, I'm a composition student, and therefore, I plan to make a living out of my music. Hence, I'd love if you could support me by buying the album. Or maybe just the track alone! Both links are here: Album from Bandcamp (16 tracks, $5 USD): http://nightbreeze.bandcamp.com/album/tales-from-far-away Only this track ($1 USD): http://nightbreeze.bandcamp.com/track/memories-and-stories I really, really hope you enjoy it. Until the next time, everybody!
  7. Well, sounds nice! I'll be happy to submit my music. When will the submissions be open? Cheers!
  8. Thanks a lot to everybody for your time and support, I really appreciate it! I'm really glad you enjoyed the track. Thank you! Thank you so much, buddy I'm really glad you like the track so much, and to know that you listen to it so usually is really inspiring, thank you so much. Your idea for a midnight song is beautiful, and I've had the same idea in my mind for a long time, but I haven't yet found the specific 'inspiration' to do it. I'll keep it in mind for future plans! Right now, though, I do already have many tracks in mind to do! And soon I'll be releasing my very first album (which will not be free, for the sake of gathering funds to help me buy some licenses I need to keep producing music- but still, every track in it can be freely downloaded separately), which will include all the tracks I've composed so far, plus 2 more not yet uploaded- one of which is vocal! Thanks pal! I do already have some ideas to make other tracks, but for now I'm working hard in my first album release. Having a real orchestra playing your music is the dream of every orchestral composer and I'd love it, but I don't have the money to pay for it, and there isn't too much people interested in doing things like that in my town. I didn't know about Pony.fm! It sounds like an awesome idea, I'll surely upload my music there when it's stable! I don't have too much time right now to join the QA team though, but I'll surely join the web when it's done! Thanks for the info, pal!
  9. Hello there, folks! It's been some time, but I present to you my first new track of the year. I uploaded this track around a month ago, but never made a post about it in here. You may or may not have heard it already (probably not though!), but still, I'm happy to share it now, with any of you who may be interested. I've been having this idea of making a big orchestral piece around my mind for various months now, and I finally got the fully inspiration I needed for it some time ago- so, I started working on it, and I kept doing it for various consecutive days, trying to fully express both this inspiration and these feelings... and then, this track came out. It all started with a simple melody... I'm going to be truly honest with you (and sorry if I'm being arrogant by saying this), but this track is, undoubtedly, the one I have most gotten into so far. I love it. It's really expressive, and I put a lot into it (and I'm not talking just about effort). I hope you can enjoy it as much as I enjoyed composing it, and I really hope you can feel the scenes, story, and feelings I've tried to put into it. The track name is all you need to make yourself an idea, and I won't tell you any further than that, because, as I usually say, half of the expression is shared by me, but the other half corresponds to you, the listeners, who perceive it in your own way, and give it your own shape. Thank you so much for listening, for the support, and I hope you have a wonderful day. Download links (and donations, if you may as well! thank you!) can be found in the video's description. I really, really hope you enjoy it. Until the next time, friends.
  10. Hello there! Well, this is not really FAN music, but I didn't know where else to post it. This here is a compilatory album I made for myself of all the Season 3 musical numbers in high quality, but I'm sure many other would like to have it, so I uploaded it to MediaFire. The tracks are listed by appearance order, recorded directly from the episodes, and both in MP3 and FLAC formats, separatedly downloadable. I also removed the voice from all the tracks and saved them separately as "instrumental" versions, all included in the pack. [*edit* I got better versions of the instrumentals, but only in MP3 format. They're in a different zip to avoid complications- download both!] Anyway, that's pretty much it! I thought sharing this would be a nice idea, and I hope you enjoy it. ^^ The MediaFire folder link: http://www.mediafire.com/?vjgpzmtaudepz Cheers and hugs!
  11. Salutations, guys! I bring a new track I just finished composing. This track is called "Deception", and it's instrumental (a mix of orchestral, rock and a square lead). It is a perfect example of what happens when you want to compose a track but are unable to do so (because of lack of time) for a long time. I exploded. Although, of course, not a disorganized explosion (even though it may sound like it the first time!), but a full expressive one. This track is, in one word... weird. I mean, comparing it to my other pony tracks, at least. But it expresses exactly what I wanted to, the scene I crated in my mind for it: chaos, discord, and deception. Yes indeed, this track was inspired in Discord, and I couldn't be happier with it! I'm not really sure what genre this track is, so I'll go with "Progressive". Excuse me if I'm wrong! But anyway, I hope you guys enjoy it. I really did enjoy composing it! See you later, and thanks for your time! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=00rqt1hu06A
  12. Greetings, everypony! I bring you today an orchestral track I've composed for Filly Gamez's game 'Welcome to Ponyville', which you may know (and if you don't, check it out, because it's an amazing game!). I tried to create a victorious, heroic scene with this piece, and I'm very satisfied with the result. Anyway, I can't give any further details about the track, but I really hope you enjoy it! Thank you always for your time and support, guys, and see you later! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Eus1t1slm0U Filly Gamez's main website: http://www.fillygamez.com/
  13. Hello there, guys. It's been some time since my last track... almost a month, I think. College has been really heavy this last month, and will still be for some more time. I'm stuffed with work, and really stressed as well. But today... I just wanted to take a deep breath, calm, rest my mind. And slowly, this image of Celestia came to my mind. Beautiful there, calm, lowering the sun in the dusk, peacefully... and it inspired me to do this track. Anyway, I really hope you enjoy it... and thanks for your time, guys. ...and always remember: there's always time to see how the sun sets.
  14. Hello there, guys Inspired completely by the show and its message, I bring you a new instrumental track. I've passed through many things since I started watching the show, and I think I've truly grown inside... I really think friendship is truly one of the most strongest things there are. In words of Twilight Sparkle: "We've learned that friendship isn't always easy... but there's no doubt it's worth fighting for." Thanks for your time.
  15. Thank you kindly, Magicon! Indeed, Bach was a great inspiration for this piece, I really love his style. Anyway, thanks a lot for the support!
  16. Hello there, everypony Well, here I come with yet another of my instrumental tracks. This time, I bring you a... kind of-power ballad symphonic rock-something thingy. Anyway... this track is inspired in Celestia, and her sorrow after banishing her sister to the moon. I don't think this needs any further explanation... just listen to it, and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed composing it. Thanks for your time http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y0RH4o32uJg
  17. Thank you kindly, Joe! And, actually, that's the face RD does when she says that line in the Sonic Rainboom episode RD's "Louder" has already been implemented in v0.21a. You should check it out! Download link has been added to the main post. Thanks for your time! Indeed, it looks kinda suggestive but that's the face RD actually does when saying that line in the episode! Anyway, thank you, Happy Plant. The latest version (0.21a) is actually very much improved than this video's. You should check it out! (*that is... if you want to, of course*). The link has been added to the main post. Thanks for your time and support, friend! EDIT: New version is out, everypony! v0.25a (added a tutorial) Also, new video uploaded (edited main post), and I've created a blog for the project, from where you'll be able to download the game. http://mylittlerhythm.blogspot.com/ Cheers!
  18. Thank you kindly, mate! Yes, I was thinking about using all kind of pony songs. We'll see how it turns out! By the way, new version is out, everypony! v0.21a (now "level 0" is completed and fully playable).
  19. Thank you soo much for the support, pal! You're amazing! And I'm very very glad you enjoyed the track! Indeed, I always try my best to successfully capture the feelings into my music Thank you very much, pal! I'm glad you enjoyed it, and thanks a lot for your support!
  20. Thank you very much, Night Shine! I really appreciate your support, and I'm very glad you could enjoy it What you say about the piece telling a story is really cool, and also correct- although it's not the first piece I do this way, but it certainly is one of them, and I'm very glad you could appreciate that. Anyway, thanks for the support, friend!
  21. I guess this is the right place to post this, right? Anyway... Inspired mainly by MysteryBen's "Rhythm is Magic" videos, and the Rhythm Heaven games themselves, I decided to start a new project: a Rhythm Heaven-like pony game. It will take some time, as I'll work in this only in my free time- but I'll post a new video in my Youtube channel with every new version I release, and you'll be able to download them. I'll also keep this post updated if it manages to catch some attention (and if there are no limits for editing a post). Anyway, in this video, I show you the basics of the game system, and what I call the "level 0". The game is right now in its most early version, and everything seen here is subject to change. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=16kHvbyKRXA Edit 18/09: New video is out! This one shows the features of v0.25a. http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxrhlPBGsPU I hope you enjoy it! Download the latest version (v0.25a) from the game's blog! http://mylittlerhythm.blogspot.com/ See you later, guys!
  22. Hello there, everypony! ^^ Here I come with yet another of my instrumental tracks. This time, I want to share with you this organ-solo track I composed, inspired in Nightmare Moon. I won't explain too much about the track- just listen to it and give it your own interpretation. Thank you for your time, and I hope you enjoy it ^^ Anyway, see you later!
