It depends on where you live. I live in California, being an atheist is accepted here. I've actually met plenty of atheist/agnostic people at school. (Surprising since I'm really anti-social.) I could do the same reversing it, by comparing Between the Buried and Me or Cult of Luna to Madonna or Bon Jovi. I've lost most interest in gaming, but I'm still interested in handheld gaming. For one, it's not flooded with generic FPS's. Although, there are console fighting games like Blazblue and SSB that I do have my eye on.

Well I did say that I like J-pop in my OP. And honestly, only a complete pleb could dislike Radiohead and Nine Inch Nails. The underground is this massive thing, the mainstream is tiny compared to it. So it would only make sense that most of what I listen to is non-mainstream.

I was thought both English and Spanish when I was little, and I always stuck with English. My parents are immigrants, I was born in the US. I was thought Spanish first, then English. It's hard to tell because I never developed an accent, but yes English is technically my second language. I found English a lot easier than Spanish. Once I learned English I enjoyed reading full length books, writing, etc. and I used it A LOT more than Spanish. The only time I used Spanish was around older relatives, and that's still the case today. People go on about how English is weird, well I think Spanish is weird. In Spanish, questions are written with two question marks. ¿Like, what the heck is this? I don't understand how to use accents either, the only three I'm familiar with are "é", "ñ", and "ü". In Spanish using double negatives is correct, that drives me BONKERS. Romantic languages tend to be similar, and Spanish seems to be really similar to Italian. They're not exactly the same but they are very similar. French and Spanish tend to have a few differences though. Ha, people here in the US use Spanglish at times. I never used, I just thought it was really weird. Plus, my parents hated Spanglish. xD Btw, I listen to a bunch of Swedish music, and a lot of times the song titles and lyrics are in English. Not always, but that's usually the case. It's the same crap in Spanish. Masculine nouns end with "o", and feminine nouns end with "a". Damn, Spanish is weird. To make things worse, in Spanish the letter "í" makes the long e sound. So instead of "me" they use "mí". Also, the "j" makes the "h" sound, the "h" is silent, and the "w" is almost useless.

Plus, the two songs that I just posted are from the 80's. I do listen to 70's and 80's stuff, it's just that I'd much rather listen to post-punk than hair metal. Okay, from the 70's and 80's, I like punk, post-punk, hardcore punk, post-hardcore, trad. heavy metal, trad. doom metal, thrash metal, early death metal, early black metal, early grindcore, early grunge, early alternative, and early hip-hop. No, I'm a fan of Nine Inch Nails and Radiohead. And I constantly dig around the internet for music.

The 80's were worse IMO, back then there were all the cheesy hairbands. Stuff like Bon Jovi, Poison, Whitesnake, Warrant, etc. it's all just awful. The 70's had disco, and disco sucks. IMHO, I'd take the 90's and 00's over the 70's and 80's any day. The current decade so far had been pretty good, but we're only some what half way into it so I can't fully judge it.

I've been digging these guys lately, they're a new favorite of mine. I can't wait to see what they come up with in the fututre. I never use the radio, and I don't really care how unpopular an artists is. I don't see why people make such a big fuss about certain genres of music not being mainstream. I'd much rather have them stay underground. If they become mainstream they'll die out, it's what happened to grunge. Have you've ever listened to Nirvana's debut album? It's not what I would call "radio friendly". By the late 90's grunge died and it became post-grunge. Post-grunge is really radio friendly and washed out, and thus you get stuff like Nickelback and Creed. Alright then, what would video games be without violence? (Besides driving sims.) I already said this, the Pokemon games improve with every generation. And some of the newer Pokemon are really well designed, like Braviary, Bandibuzz, and Sylveon. On the other hand, some of the older Pokemon aren't very original, Voltorb and Grimer are prime examples. I don't really watch that many movies, but I do enjoy going to the theater every now and then. Times are a changing, and you can't change them. It's now easier for some one in North America to communicate with someone in Europe, isn't that a good thing? Note, our life expectancy has been going up over the years. Yesh, I liekz their Self-Titled quite a bit. Post-punk with industrial influences, it's pretty gnarly stuff. It's not like we always post metal on here anyways. SWANS INCOMING
