  1. Skrillex isn't dubstep, just to let you knoew That's bound to rustle some jimmies. That's really popular. I never liked her, and I never found her attractive.
  2. I hate it when people assume that I'm a hipster just because I listen to underground stuff. I also hate it when people call me an elitist. They're about even, but either way Bon Jovi is still garbage.
  3. (This is the second time I've used this gag today.) But anyways, I am not a hipster. I just totally dig underground music (pun intended hahaha). I mean, people always assume that I'm an elitist even though I'm not.
  4. I'm pretty sure books get challenged in the south just as much as they do in the west coast and New England. Yes, book censorship is a load of BS. If something offends you then don't read it. It's great book to let out built up angst, agony, misanthropy, and sheer frustration with. Holden Caulfield is one of the greatest protagonists ever.
  5. I live in California, I'm reading Of Mice and Men right now for English class and it's got the "N-word" (As well as the word "bitch") right in there. So I don't know what the heck you're talking about. I've also checked out The Catcher and the Rye from my school's library and it was uncensored as well. All the cursing, drug references, sex references, blasphemy, etc. were all in there (BTW, TCitR is my favorite book ever). In 8th grade I had to read To Kill a Mockingbird and that too was uncensored and contained the "N-word". Oh BTW, New England looks like a really nice place to live, If I had to leave California I would go to either Washington state or New England. Back on topic, I would recommend The Catcher in the Rye to just about anybody who easily annoyed by people (like me). Holden CAN be an easy character to relate to at times. It's also a book with guts and isn't afraid to grasp controversial topics, which I thought was really cool. lol no THIS is the greatest American novel written EVER!!!

  7. It's more of a form of black humor. I can think of many songs that have similar lyrics as well as sarcastic and ironic lyrics that overall don't sound cheesy at all.
  8. "From grace she will fall An image burning in her mind" Nothing cheesy about that. I thought the vocals in that song were annoying, and the guitar sounded way too "bright". I guess we're going to have to agree to disagree.
  9. Bon Jovi has got to be one of the WORST musical acts, ever. Poison is also really awful, weather or not they're worse than Bon Jovi is up to you to decide.
  10. I love you. Oh, and you left out post-hardcore. No way dude, me too. I really hate Bon Jovi. *Brostep Now that, we can agree on. They say that if you listen to DSOTM while you're... you know what, never mind.
  11. They're Goth, how exactly can you find anything cheesy about it? It's slow and poetic song, if anything it's an Edgar Allen Poe poem in the form of a song. From Wiki Their lyrical emphasis on themes of romance, depression, and death resulted in the nickname "The Drab Four"
  12. I only like clean vocals when they're done correctly in a NOT cheesy manner. Here's a great example. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6IZHR2UB-tI It pretty much ruins the whole song for me. It puts this layer of awfulness. It's like an a certain type of spice that I'm allergic too. Hey I'll tell ya what, I'll be nice and make you a peanut butter and Nutella sandwich. Does that sound fair?
  13. TBH, I'd take today's awful pop music over the awful pop from the 80's any day. Bro, you're not weird. I'm 15 and listen to everything from death metal to J-pop and I don't consider my taste in music weird.
  14. No blast beats + clean vocals = not trve metul LEL But like, I find clean vocals annoying most of the time. That's why I dislike power metal so much. The vocals are just so cheesy, but that's just my two cents. I listen to both metal and emo/post-hardcore stuff. Sure it gets annoying when people can't tell them apart, but I really enjoy both.
  15. Like Kyouko just said, those bands have sold gold and platinum albums making them nowhere near underground. I've heard TDG being played on the radio before. And I'm pretty sure those bands have several million views on YouTube. And I guess it's a shame that you don't like Kvelertak and mewithoutYou, oh well...
  16. I just took a look at my old posts, oh it's so painful to see how much I've grown since then. But anyways, I was listening to NIN earlier today. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YTj4mMp5dk8
  17. But it does me no injury for my neighbor to say that he has twenty waifus or no waifus. It neither picks my pocket nor breaks my leg.

  18. What? I always thought those bands were super mainstream (and awful). But anyways, here's one of my favorite modern bands. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IsGC4yaIsj8 And this album's really good too. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=StIXuUJ2jMo
  19. Classical: I'm not a fan of it, but it's nice bachground music. (Yes, I seriously just made that joke.) 80's: There was a lot awful music back then like Bon Jovi and Yes. But there was also a lot of great stuff like The Pixies and Fugazi. Modern Music: Same as 80's but TBH, there's a lot more good music nowadays than there ever was in the past. Plus, music is A LOT more diverse today than it was in the 80's. IMO:90's>00's>80's Mainstream music has always been garbage though, The Backstreet Boys are just as bad as One Direction. Oh, and the 80's were filled with garbage. I'm always finding new stuff to listen to ._. Exactly. But there's so much great stuff today :c
  20. Yea so I'm listening to Warhammer right now, they sound a lot like Hellhammer. And here's some more stuff just for the hell of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zn3zNkK93I4
