I remember the first time I listened to Reign in Blood, I was in eighth grade. Oh the eighth grade, without a doubt the worst year of my life. And now the terrible memories are coming back. I still remember how cool I used think I was because I liked bands like At the Gates and Celtic Frost and everyone else was into Shakira and crap. But of course nobody else cared and they would make fun of me. And I got jacked a couple of times. And I had no friends. And the awful poems I used to write. Well it's incredible how an album can just bring back memories like that. Either that or it's 3 AM and tired and half asleep. Wait, WHAT AM I DOING?

There's few new games I'm interested in, (GTA V and Pokemon X & Y) but most of my interest in gaming is dead. It's like almost every game nowadays is a flipin' FPS. I'm horrible at FPSs, but that seems to be whats popular nowadays... Pokemon is what's keeping my interest in gaming alive, and right now it's 90% dead.

What if I told you that thrash metal was influenced by hardcore punk? Slayer wouldn't exist without hardcore punk. But post music is good music, post-hardcore is good music. Have you listened to Bathory's album Hammerheart? It's considered to be the first Viking metal album and sounds much differnet than their previous albums.

Grindcore is boss, and there's good metalcore out there too. I don't get why people assume that anything with "core" is bad. *sigh*

I think it's silly how some people worry about how their taste in music being "weird". Like, how can your taste in music be weird?
