  1. He posted some loliporn, anyways it's nice to have you back. Finally, someone with good taste in thrash metal. Anyways, I'll leave this here. It's more death/thrash though. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HE8dPLfalXE
  2. mfw no one's mentioned Ian Curtis yet. Like seriously, he's a million times better than Freddie Mercury. (And better looking too) Everyone's entitled to an opinion, but dang it's like everyone on this website is super hostile towards rap and hip-hop.
  3. Astrology like many things in this world, is fictitious. It's pretty easy for me tell when many of the traits of my supposed sign don't even match my personality.
  4. Well the song is terrible, no doubt about it. I couldn't even sit through 15 seconds of it. On a slightly related note, I'm craving some Chinese food right now. Orange chicken is frickin' delicious.
  5. Ehh, it's not that bad. It's still better than Gangam Style, it's slightly better than Come Clarity. Although, that's like saying that my awful cooking is better than your awful cooking. (That crossed out part is supposed to be a joke.)
  6. I was listening to some black metal earlier today, cool stuff. And I finally got around to listening to Revenge, they sound a lot like Blasphemy.
  7. I'm bisexual and I find it really annoying when people go around chanting things like "Don't be afraid to come out of the closet". Sexuality is something personal, you can't just force people to be open about it. Creating an open environment is one thing, but forcing people to come out is another.
  8. Dude, a lot of metal is much more technical than your standard grandpa rock. Btw, noise music does exist (and some of it is down right amazing). Snoop Dogg is one of the better rappers, he did a really good job assisting Dr.Dre on his album The Chronic. Periphery are really boring, Meshuggah is decent, and I thought After the Burial were deathcore.
  9. Well now that you guys are done bashing genres that I enjoy, I'd thought I'd leave an opinion of my own. I find a lot of hard rock to be really boring. I honestly can't sit through a whole AC/DC song without getting bored. It's just too bland for my taste. I also dislike Guns N Roses, Sweet Child O' Mine is a decent song but Axl's voice really annoys me. Hair bands also bug me, and I'm really glad they died off. Cherry Pie by Warrant has got to be one of the worst songs I've ever heard. Bon Jovi and Poison are two of the worst bands, ever. By "ever", I really do mean EVER.
  10. I remember I used to really hate it when I was younger, but recently it just grew onto me to the point where it's addicting. J-pop is like the crack of music. So anyways, here's some proggy death metal.
  11. ...Uhhm no. Here's some dubstep. Like Moog already said, it's not that "they can't sing". It's just that they use harsh vocals to express their anger, frustration, angst, etc. As a fan of both death metal and screamo, I can assure you that they're not even closely related. Death metal is a subgenre of metal that started off as an offshoot of thrash metal. Screamo is a subgenre of hardcore punk that evolved from emo. When people use the word "screamo", 99% of the time they have no idea what they're talking about. 99% of the time, people can't even name a legitimate screamo (or emo) band.
  12. It seems like most people will trash anything with harsh vocals, anything poppy, anything electronic, anything with rapping, and pretty much almost anything that isn't grandpa rock. Oh well, it's their loss.
  13. Well they're related. I think rapping is the name of the technique, where as hip-hop is the actual genre (I could be wrong). Alrighty then. *sigh* I listen to everything from black metal to J-pop. I'll listen to anything as long as it's good. I haven't dug too deep into the genre, but okay.
  14. So this post is like literally Cancer, lol. Are you like, new here? I like to either listen to metal or J-pop before I go to sleep tbh.
  15. But Nine Inch Nails songs are almost always related to sex, and they're AMAZING. Okay, many people can agree with you on that. I enjoy listening to J-pop, whole albums. Seriously, that stuff is addicting. But pop music has ALWAYS been crap, and I've heard one song by Yes, it was a power ballad. TBH, I'm not a fan of most prog rock. I enjoy prog metal (except for Dream Theater, I HATE THEM). Bro, the radio has always full of crap. I don't even listen to the radio. And prog metal today is thriving very well. Dude, 80% of what I listen to is underground to some degree. Some of the bands that I like are obscure AF. You're telling me this? Oh, well gee... I hope you're not drinking too much...
  16. As a fan of proper emo bands like Texas Is the Reason, Sunny Day Real Estate, Cap'n Jazz, etc., I hate "emo" bands like My Chemical Romance, Fall Out Boy, Paramore, etc. What is it with everyone hating hip-hop? Don't you guys ever just kick back and turn up some Public Enemy? The Money Store by Death Grips is also one of my favorite albums of this decade (so far). Grindore is awesome though :V Besides, microsongs are fun to listen to. A few months back I used to totally dig Helloween, now I can barely stand them. It's the vocals that turn me away from power metal the most, they're high pitched, cheesy, and accompanied by some cheesy lyrics about dragons. Uhh no, that's called brostep. Actual dubstep is different. Some death metal incorporates elements of jazz, just saying.
  17. There's like ten million "favorite music" threads, so I'd thought it would be a good idea to make a thread about genres that we dislike. I personally hate power metal and symphonic metal. Power metal is cheesy and annoying, and symphonic metal bores me to death. So hbu guys? Before you say anything, keep in mind that Skrillex is NOT dubstep.
