  1. My favourite pony of the mane 6 would have to be Twilight. She doesn't really display any traits that I dislike and her bookworm personality really adds quite a few points to my standings. As for my least favourite, that title has to belong to Applejack. It's not that I dislike her, quite far from it. I just feel she hasn't had as much time to shine as what the others have. I like her personality and everything, but I feel that she just needs a little more attention and development.
  2. As an ex-mcdonalds kitchen crew trainer: neither. Im not even a health nut and I am concerned about how unhealthy the food is. I used to like McDonalds, but now, I'd rather just fire up the barbecue or go to a proper restaurant.
  3. The sonic game that impressed me the most when I was younger was Sonic Adventures DX. I loved playing as all the different characters, especially E102-gamma.
  4. I can understand that, but with all honesty, Id think it would contribute a lot less of a cultural shock as making them pick up a new language rather than their cultural one. I would think cultures that proud would be left behind either way.
  5. How could I not reference the Babelfish? Honestly though, I don't think the language barrier will last for much longer with the progression of technology. Technology will adapt to us rather than us having to adapt to the language.
  6. 1. Which pony would make a good bodyguard? Protectionwise, probably Shining Armor. 2. What would you do if you took piano lessons and your teacher was Octavia? Um... I don't know, learn how to play the piano? 3. Which 3 ponies would you play tag with? Rainbow dash, Fluttershy and Derpy. Although no flying due to somewhat obvious reasons. 4. What would you do if you got turned into a pony and had to crash at Twilight's house for a few days until they found a way to change you back? Keep myself busy in the library until they find something out. I don't know whether I would want to return to my former self or not after a certain number of days and circumstances, but i'd just keep myself busy. 5. What would you do if Rarity stole all your clothes? I honestly wouldn't mind, so long as I had some article of cloathing left to purchase new ones in. 6. What would you do if Derpy offered you a ride in her car? I'd hop in! Seriously, what's the worst that ccould happen? I mean, it IS Derpy, after all! 7. What would you do if Applejack left an apple pie by your door? Well... what am I supposed to do with it? Eat it? Preserve it forever? Throw it at the neighbour?... I guess eating it sounds right. 8. Which 2 ponies would you have a sleepover with? Princess Luna just because she's awesome and Fluttershy so we could have the most epic staring contest the world has ever seen! edit: BEHOLD formating magics!
  7. My favourite genre of music would have to be classical. A close second for me would be trailer music, just because of how epic sounding and empowering they can be.
  8. Well... I think i might just just go without dessert for tonight... Could the timing of this thread have been any worse?
  9. I would move in with Twilight because books are awesome! I would probably help her out at the library and maybe help out Zecora on the side.
  10. I would like to have a discussion with Mr. Rogers, my personal childhood hero. He was truly a special person whom I would love to have a discussion with about anything. The interaction would probably be somewhat like when Spike met Fluttershy in episode 1. It disappoints me that I saw a certain "news" station trailing his name through the mud a while ago and a few of my friends mock him, but he is still undoubtedly my awesomest neighbour.
  11. When I was young my parents used to play on the Nintendo 64 with me. Mario kart 64 was always a fun one my mom enjoyed, and my dad was more of a fan of this arcade fighter I can't remember the name of. Now though, they have a hard job figuring out the controls, even for something like tetris.
  12. I prefer to use firefox over google chrome or the chromium project. Firefox matches my system theme a lot better than what chrome does and I really don't feel there is much speed difference between the two anymore. Then again, I run nightly, so that might have an effect on my perception...
  13. Well written article. Information about these empty slots sure has come a long way since the "poke gods" of the first generation days. It is now officially confirmed yoshi is not a Pokémon But yeah, that's interesting about the number of empty slots on the third generation games. Funny because the most notable glitch pokemon were all first gen.
  14. There is definitely a sad decline in multiplayer, which is truly a shame. My good friend and I usually meet up on the weekends to gather around the TV and play some fun multiplayer action. There are certainly a lot fewer good multiplayer titles than there were on the Nintendo 64. Well, minecraft has a local multiplayer mode now if you consider that a plus. I have yet to use it though.
  15. There is a a negative stigma about Nintendo being kiddy by the public sadly. You are definitely right about that. I see that claim all too often at different forums, gaming events, and live streams. I don't know where this new craving for bloodlust in gaming comes from, but it would certainly be an interesting research topic. Gaming is relatively young in the graphics department. You really don't have to look back too far.
  16. I don't think its very fair to call a game kiddy simply because its rated e by ersb. The rating system is designed to inform parents about the content of a certain game. It also typically includes why the game was rated as such o believe to the right of the rating. But it isn't right to title something kiddy just because there is a lack of gore or realistic violence. I would sooner pick up a copy of the super Mario brothers any day over the super realistic fps because it's more fun for me, and I couldn't give a darn about what others think about my gaming preferences.
  17. I have one very close friend who I meet with very often and not many others. Of course I have a few work and school acquaintances, but I don't really meet up with them much at all outside of college or work. I might meet a few people this year with similar interests in the course I'm going into.
  18. December of course! Who could hate the appearance of snow and the cooler climate? I can hardly wait to get back to cooler temperatures when things have been boiling hot all summer.
  19. It would have been cool if they had expanded that battle. What would have been great would be if they were equal in power. That, or not going down in less than a minute after making that speech about protecting her people would have been interesting.
  20. I think we should first focus on the question of how to stop oppression in the world. Once we solve the problem of oppression, it will be a lot easier for a global government to form. Even then, it will be very hard for people to agree by the rules of a single government. Certain issues today cause enough problems nationally, let alone globally, and factions could fairly easily appear. Unless the world was governed with an iron fist, I really don't see how control could be maintained over how the world is governed.
  21. It is very difficult to pinpoint a specific video game... I want to lean towards pokemon, but I feel like saying that would be bias since it was my first video game. In that case, I will say Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney: Trials and Tribulations. Such a great series overall. I just wish Capcom would give us Ace Attorney Investigations 2 already... And as for the one im looking forward to in particular, Guild Wars 2, of course! Ive been beta testing it since the first open beta and I can't wait to finally get making my character for real
  22. Id go with pegasus. They aren't only restricted to flying in the air after all, and im sure flight would be fun / come in handy. Magic would be useful, but it would probably take a lot of studying and hard work to use or even control.
  23. Biggest laugh: The whole intro from season 1 episode 21, Over the Barrel. "Rainbow Dash think's Fluttershy's a tree!" Sad moment: I have to agree with the OP on Fluttershy crying in hurricane fluttershy. Gilda making Fluttershy cry for me is a close second.
  24. My favourite background pony has to be derpy, so I would like to see an episode featuring her. She already has a voice in place and I think it would be fun to see more of her antics.
  25. Increased: Rarity - I didn't really like her as much as the others at first. As her character developed, she started to rise up the ranks of the mane 6. She still isn't in the top 4, but just because she isn't in the top 4 doesn't mean I dislike her character much less than the others. Rainbow Dash - I don't know, i'm not much of a fan for the super competitive types of characters. She kind of started off on the wrong hoof. Eventually after watching a few episodes, she started to grow on me a bit. Of course there are those episodes where she is downright annoying (mare do well episode, anypony?), but she usually learns from her mistakes. Luna: At first glance, a character who only had one line in season 1 if you don't count her lines as nightmare moon (which I dont.) In season 2, she quickly became one of my favourites in Luna Eclipsed. Her whole character design was likable and she had many unique traits, such as the Royal Canterlot Voice and how she referred to herself as "we". Her character has also come a long way since being nightmare moon. Decreased: None, really. Truth be told, I really kind of like all the characters in their own different way. Except for diamond tiara, she's just a bully. Oh, and Gilda for making Fluttershy cry!
