    I'll admit this looks like an interesting combination. Corey Powell is known for writing Spike episodes though they aren't that good. Meghan seems to be the only one who knows how to write him in well so this should be a good episode. That's kind of what i was thinking. Same body structure and familiar mane.

    Glad to see this topic finally open. It's great to be back to the great old mlp forums to talk about stuff again. I'm pretty stoked to see the first of the two Spike episodes! He's my favorite character after all.

    Seems to me that Hasbro is just being a little too strict with its own legality. As long as someone uses thier product which includes characters, settings, etc.; they can file a c&d against anyone they choose no matter the purposes of said content. Back when they did this to Fighting is Magic and The Molestia tumblr blog they had other reasons such to protect the image of the show being about what it is. Of course with Jan and his animations I can't see why they would C&D it. Possibly because it looks too official and the quality of it is just as if not better than the actual product it parodied. I'm not exactly sure behind their reasoning but in any case lets pray this issue is resolved and Hasbro can relax .

    I would like to say that I lost interest in the KCA quite a while ago. Nick still has a, few good shows but the awards aren't really that interesting to see anymore. I'm surprised Adventure Time and Pokemon was even nominated since its Cartoon network that airs them. (Both good shows btw) Now onto MLP being nominated. Frankly it wouldn't matter much because the show already has a lot of publicity what with being the kingpin of internet memes. Besides that I think bronies would spam vote the heck out of the show if it were up.

    Anyone else think there should be an episode where Twilight gets flooded with request that ponies want to be turned into other animals? I totally would want to see a Rarity into a dragon (although that's kind of far fetched) I just thought about it what with Twilight's new transformation ability Looks like some fan fiction's could come true

    Breezification First off it was pretty much no point in that scene happening as it did nothing to change up the plot. We could've removed that scene entirely and still get the same end results. Secondly, it was only for a marketing ploy which is expected from Hasbro, but in my own opinion it is unneeded (they couldn't even wait till the Rainbow Powered Ponies came out) Thirdly it felt like a deus ex machinia that Twilight randomly pulled out of her horn. Granted I actually like the idea of transformation and transforming the mane 6 into different animals. I actually, even liked Rainbow Dash's comment towards Twilight to turn her into a GriffGriffin or even a dragon. It just felt like the Breezification was unnecessary and the transformation spell could be saved for a different episode.

    The only way Twilight could be Goku would be if she was against him as a kid. Heck i don't even think she could beat him when he was 15

    Personally i think the CMC going with Sweetie Belle's idea for the second time when it didn't work the first time was kind of weird.

    Considering that the whole entirety of Equestria seems to be run on a feudal system (Royalty/princess) I think the guards are basically the police since they enforce the law. At least by Canterlot standards. Any other places like Appelosa would be self governed and possibly has mercenaries or a town like Manehattan would probably have it's own system.

    Especially with you take into consideration she already saved Equestria several time. Then again she did put it into danger a lot of times so maybe it just cancels out? Also Spike making Nachos, but he sadly threw them away at the end . Anyone notice his voice got deeper?

    I thought this episode was pretty okay. Not anything spectacular or out of the ordinary. Though i really loved the supporting voices here like Pipsqueak. I'd give this episode a C+. It was solid

    Anyone else notice a colt in the school yard looks very similar to Flash Sentry? I guess that's one way to sneak him into season 4

    Sweetie Belle is finally trying to use magic. Though i kind of thought a unicorn not being able to use magic would be interesting much like Scootaloo not being able to fly.

    I'm not particullar excited for this episode. Namely because Twilight and CMC interaction already happened. Oh well i'm here so i mine as well watch it.

    I agree this episode seemed to avoid most love triangle tropes and turned it into something a bit more differently. You gotta love Rarity's slow descent into mental instability when she went into the mud. That was kind of creepy but i liked it!

    Yeah i thought Spike worked pretty well here. At least this didn't really kill off Sparity. Spike seems rather accepting of Rarity having crushes on other's. And that's pretty sweet of him.......

    Ha This episode was purty good. I loved the foil interaction between Rarity and Applejack and the moral was very well established. This episode get's a solid B for me.

    Anyone else think Spike is a gifted musician?? He can play the banjo, the piano...what can this guy NOT do!? haha
