Aren't jumpscares a part of horror? I thought that Five Nights at Freddy's had a lot of suspense that kept you on your toes because you really had to be on your a-game to keep yourself alive. Even the atmosphere was horrifying imo, It took something that was mundane irl and made it into something that makes you paranoid.

Not really. To me, jumpscares are more like dick jokes in comedy movies. They're good every now and then but overuse tends to detract from the experience. The thing with me with Five Nights at Freddy's though is that I thought the animatronics were hilarious (namely how Chica looked like it had a rod rammed into its pooper), to tell you the truth. But yeah, it did convey an atmosphere of uneasiness, but I felt it relied too much on the jumpscaring. I enjoy horror, but I guess I like s...

Guess horror is just a milage may vary genre lol, it's cool though. Depends on what scares you, like that lady in the news that was afraid of pickles.
