if you wanna know, better tell us the story of why, because I know A lot about it...if you wish to talk PM me

Hey guys, uh... To be honest I have completely forgotten about creating this thread and only came back when I saw a notification pop up in my email (even though I've moved on from the fandom I still visit this forum to talk to old friends on occasion). I'm kind of surprised that this thread continues to get posts in here, but just know that the OP isn't representative of how I am now. I've managed to find ways to overcome said vices and hurtful "coping mechanisms" in the span of 6 odd years. For everyone visiting this thread, put the knife down and talk to someone. I'm serious. One of the biggest things that help me is to unpack my emotions, accept that it's okay to feel how I feel, but at the same time hold myself accountable for not letting myself do anything self-destructive to cope.

Honestly it's so frustrating to look back through my post history and see my old self push so many people away to wallow (which is dumb and unhealthy) like this. Everyone deserves someone in their corner, and my inbox is always open for anyone that needs someone too. Keep an open mind no matter how hard it may be and always look to prove if your negative thoughts are valid or not; it's the only way I was able to find to free myself from my own prison. You matter.

  2. Assuming what Evil Rarity said. Ex-brony too, got sick to death of some of the people in the fandom. Woulda just ignored them if the show didn't jump the shark. But I digress. Instead I can be found in the Pokemon community. The anime is kinda eh though.

  3. I actually like this knockout format, this is the first in about 4 years where I'm nervous and excited at the same time. I'm hoping my driver gets the trophy this week. I also don't like it when wants to go back to the old points system, what going to happen if fans say that format is boring as well. I didn't complain when Harvick should've won the 2010 championship using the old system.

I absolutely despise the new format. Logano (as much as I hate to admit it) and Harvick are honestly the only championship worthy drivers. Hamlin had only one win and Newman had none. Keselowski also had a great season, and as much as I hate him, getting knocked out was a kick in the teeth for him. Then there's Dale Jr, who also had a great season, but due to a few bad races he was knocked out despite being better than most of the guys that advanced. In other words, this knockout format is NOT how you determine a racing championship. This fake World Cup garbage has no place in motorsports. I really do hope that Newman wins the championship, giving Brian France and his brainchild a huge middle finger.

  4. Here's my honest opinion of religion, coming from an agonstic. It doesn't matter if you believe in Christianity, Islam, Satanism, Atheism, or Buddhism, your belief is your belief. Sure you can talk about it, but putting others down just for what they believe in makes you an even bigger schmuck than the person you're mocking. Believe in what you want, that is fine. But if you try to tell others that you are right and they are wrong, that is crossing the line. That goes both for religious people, and for the anti-religious. Rubbing atheism or anti-theism into one's face is equally as bad as rubbing Christianity into another's face. Keep that in mind as to not look like a hypocritical idiot when trying to slam someone for their beliefs.

  5. Might as well name-drop and as well.

I race it (or at least will be racing it) in the future :D I got a ride all set up for next year.

As an European, I didn't see a single race yet... but I'm going to change this.

F1's rules are getting more stupid and more, so I think it's time to find something new to watch in TV. If only I find a good stream, without lags...

Watch IndyCar. Brian France is almost as stupid as Sir Bernard Ecclestone, and unless you want politically determined race results, I strongly recommend watching IndyCar instead. Think Formula 1 without Bernie's Bullshit. I still enjoy NASCAR, but significantly less due to the whole knockout crap.

  6. Unpopular opinions...

People are NOT special. They are unique. Some people are destined to become important, others are just destined to be average joes. I am very much against parents babying their kids into thinking they are special little butterflies, and end up becoming self entitled little snots.

I think that if people don't want to get beaten up by policemen, they should not bait them into doing so (keeping opinions of Ferguson to myself though; most liberals would not like my opinion)

(See above You're Not Special entry) While I am supportive of same sex marriage, I feel people are taking it too far. I think that minority scholarships (despite being Korean myself) are already a grey enough area, and trying to turn homosexuality into a protected race is wrong in my opinion. At the end of the day- it's preference. That's the same as trying to create laws to protect Bronies just for liking the show.

I also think political correctness is getting out of hand. I mean, people wanting to change the name of Asian Carp just because it's called an Asian Carp? I'm actually being serious, there are people out there wanting to change its name. Same with people bitching about the Washington Redskins. Yes, historically it is an offensive term, but so is Cracker in Cracker Barrel, and Yankee too (that's the British equivalent of the N-word to Americans), yet nobody bats an eye about that...

Oh, and on a related note, contrary to popular belief, reverse racism does exist in my opinion. Some minorities cry about about being oppressed when they feel it's okay to shout racial slurs that are degrading to themselves, and believing that all whites are racist. That is racism. Caucasian people are a race too. My brother tried to tell me that reverse racism can't exist because Caucasians created the standard of racism in America, COMPLETELY IGNORING the fact that they are, indeed, a race too (took a lot of willpower to not drive into a tree after he said that). Caucasians are a part of the "American Melting Pot" (a term I use VERY loosely), and all races deserve the same amount of respect.

I also think that if you feel the need to constantly complain about the American government without doing anything to try to change it, rather do things like burn the flag, you have the right to get the fuck out of the country.

  8. At least I hope so! Me and a buddy of mine are working to try to get a car for the 2015 season. As of now, we're trying to get money for the operation. Our plan is to enter in ministock races across New York, and as of now, we are going to, for sure, race at Evans Mills Motorsport Park. We'd likely build it from scratch, taking a car like a Mustang or (preferably) a Camaro, gutting the interior, and then adding a rollcage, a new race dash, and safety equipment. All in all the startup cost will be about $3000, but we're both very excited to hopefully be working on the car around February, and racing in the spring! Really hoping I can prove myself in street stocks so that I can, someday (hopefully a few years), move into Late Models and hopefully catch the attention of NASCAR's Drive for Diversity. But for now, we're in the planning stage, and we hope to build the team up within the next few years.

Geez I never realized how similar I was to Rainbow Dash lol

"Seriously, why would it be STILL up here?" Red grumbled as the group slowly trotted through the balcony, "I mean, Luna would have found it by now if it really was last known to be up here a hundred or whatever years!" This was the first time in awhile Red found himself complaining this much, taking a pause to catch his breath after spewing grouse after grouse.
"*Annoyed SIGH* I guess it's no matter," replied Red after trotting back to the group, "At this rate I'd do anything to see Applejack again. But... I might never have the chance to make up for shoving her away like that. So... why even bother?"

  10. @, "I'll try," Clover said. She flapped her wings, but as she got further off the ground, she happened to look down.

"Eeek!" Clover cried out, dropping back to the ground. "It's just so high up! What if I was to fall?" She didn't want to just give up and take the carriage; this was something that Clover knew she had to accomplish.

(Big crash damaged the retaining walls. Race is red flagged to fix the wall so I'll get a post out now.)

"Stay with me," Red responded, "You won't fall if you keep your movemets steady. Nobody from Ace Seminar has ever fallen to death under my wing. Stick with me and I'll make sure nothing happens to you."

  11. @, Doubtfully, Clover tried to do as Red said. It seemed to her to be ridiculous that her wings could support her entire body the way he was demonstrating; while Red was a pegasus, she'd been a unicorn before her ascension, with her hooves firmly on the ground. However, to Clover's amazement, she saw that Red was right. Flapping her wings the way he had shown her, she was soon hovering over the ground next to him.

(I'm at the Sprint Cup race today so I wont get another post till later tonight. Go Marcos Ambrose! Screw Kyle Busch!)

"Wow," Red responded, clearly not expecting the alicorn to get off the ground, "you're a quick learner! Ace Seminar 102 is slightly more difficult, but I'm sure you got it. To fly forward in ascent, angle your wings like this."

He slowly rotated his wings to a slight 30* angle, and flew forward slowly.

"Just as I am doing," he said, ascending to the balcony.

  12.

Red listened to Clover, and nodded as she mentioned that she has not flown yet.

"Alright," Red responded, "You've never flown before, you say? Looks like we're gonna have to have a bit of a crash course now, and practice later." He spread his wings to prepare for a demonstration.

"Ace Seminar 101: always make sure your wing movements are as smooth as possible. Try like me, and with gentle movement, try to hover just a few feet off the ground." With his wings, he gently created that vital cushion of air. Gently flapping, he motioned for Clover to give it a try.
