No, there is no specific reason :3 If you look at my name history you can see that I've actually tried out a capitalized name before, but ehhhh for some reason I found myself too attached to the noncapitalized version . You know, there's so much raw talent floating about in Octavia's Hall that it's really difficult to simply pick a favourite piece out of the lot. I mean, off the top of my head I can name a lot of the more prominent artists (Firebolt, Motion Spark, kenniks, Octavia's Cellozoid, the list just goes on and on). I mean, if I really had to mention an artist that left an impression me during my time in OH, you should check out @LessThanNormal's work. He does commissions only I think, but his art is top notch. Of course, there's probably a whole bunch of other artists as talented at him, but then again that's why Octavia's Hall is a fun place to be in

You're not bad, your drawing has potential. You've more or less nailed down the basics of pony anatomy, you just need to tweak some of the proportions a little. Pretty much what Jokuc has said, the body of the pony needs to be shorter, make use of guide circles and guide lines, like the one he has shown. I've taken your drawing and outlined over it in more detail so you can get a better idea as to the rough proportions required. Always keep the skeleton in mind and use circles to help you judge where to stop the body. And of course, keep practicing
