The earth pony rolled out of the mattress and collapsed on the floor. "Ughhhhh" He groaned to himself, before getting up and grabbing his uniform. Dogboots changed out of his pajamas and into his jumpsuit and vest. The stallion gathered a variety of gardening tools in a bucket and then carried them outside. He trotted around the log cabin to where his shining jewel was located. A variety of foods grew in this garden. Potatoes, carrots, lettuce and tomatoes grew from the large patch of soil. Decorating around the vegetable garden were pots with various flowers such as roses, lilies and daisies. Yet still, it seemed like more could be done. Dogboots trotted back inside to grab one more thing to enrich this experience. After a short while the stallion returned with a radio dangling from it's handle which was in his mouth. Dogboots remembered spending half of his entire salary from his previous job in Fillydelphia to obtain the radio. He set the device down and configured it to his favorite radio station. "After working for three weeks straight, I finally don't have to work tonight. Finally I can relax," He said before the sound of classical music from the Royal Canterlot Symphony played over the radio.

The sound of grunts and groans filled the night air as some of the earth ponies were offloading another shipment of product from the trailer. "I don't understand, why this is necessary. Can't they get 1st shift to do this?" One of the workers asked as he pushed box resting on a pallet. "The trucks come here near 11pm, and we're here just to off load the product. First shift, puts it away and what did I tell you about using a pallet jack?!" Dogboots yelled at the worker. "Yeah, yeah I know! geez. You're not my supervisor you know?" "You're right, but if we end up loosing our holiday pay because of your negligence, then i'll be sure to tell the guys that they have you to thank. Now quit dawdling and get to work! We have to get these done before first shift comes in!" The stallion yelled before letting out a sigh. "It's gonna be a long night," Dogboots thought to himself looking up at the stars briefly before returning to work. (OOC: Just posting to keep on eye on the RP and be updated whenever someone posts.)

@@slimmyjimjim, "Wait, what?!" He exclaimed before she flew towards the tree. The stallion had to admit she was pretty cute with that smile of hers, but soon shook it off. He smiled back at the mare and followed her to the tree, he was still somewhat uneasy about leaving school, but who knows, maybe he was making a new friend for once.

@@slimmyjimjim, "My name isn't that bad," He muttered to himself following the mare. He was already starting to sweat a little after ditching detention with a mare he hardly knew. In fact, he was beginning to have second thoughts about this. "So, where are we going? Cause if it's the computer lab in room 210 then i'm banned from that room," He said to the mare in a nervous tone.

@@slimmyjimjim, "Back Track" He replied sheepishly before shaking Horsefly's hoof, it was a little sweaty. "It's uhmmm nice to meet you Horsefly, even if we are in detention heh," He said forcing a smile on his face. Needless to say the stallion was a little curious what she had in mind to do. There didn't seem to be much to do outside of school.

@@slimmyjimjim, Back Track was taken aback by her request. He was usually a by the book person and rarely broke rules unless it was for his own benefit. "B-but, we could get in trouble and-" The stallion couldn't fight the mare's gaze. It was like a puppy looking at him, you couldn't say no to it. The stallion sighed. "Okay," He said ready to follow the mare.

@@slimmyjimjim, Back Track frowned a little when she had laughed, but after complimenting the stallion he did feel some measure of pride. "Well I umm- I grew up around computers so it became natural to me." He blushed while scratching his mane. It was rare for him to hear anypony compliment his work. Usually most ponies go to him to take care of minor stuff like attendance and the like. "W-what about you? What are you in for?" He asked the mare.

@@slimmyjimjim, The stallion turned back when the mare had addressed him which startled him. "Umm well I uhhh" He stuttered trying to get the words out of his mouth. Back Track took a deep breath before finally calming down. "I used a keylogger and gained administrative access to my grades so I could change my grade in Cooking, However I'm assuming that the IDS picked up my activity after escalating my privileges and I was caught." He said in a hushed tone trying not to wake up the instructor.

@@slimmyjimjim, The stallion was caught off guard to see a mare trot into the room. The instructor had mentioned it being her third time this week in detention. Though it was strange she didn't look to be the type of pony who would get into trouble. The mare sat a few rows behind him and he couldn't help but glance once in a while. Before she would notice he would instantly turn his head back towards his desk. "At least it's not a jock," He thought to himself, but was a little curious why she was here.

@@slimmyjimjim, Classes were over for Back Track and he made his way to Detention. He had been dreading the thought all day during class that he could hardly pay attention. "I'm assuming you're Back Track?" A stern voice said. Back Track turned to see a gruff looking pony with a stack of paperwork on his desk. "Y-yes sir, I am." He replied sheepishly while looking at the floor. "Sign in, and then sit at a desk. We got one more coming in and once she gets here then we can get this done and over with." He said in an annoyed tone before returning to his paperwork. The young stallion signed in and sat down in the back of the room. "Wonder who else got detention? Probably some irresponsible jock," The unicorn thought to himself.

After going through his lunch in less than 5 minutes, Back Track made his way towards his the computer technician who was sleeping at his desk. He pulled out a tiny memory stick out of the back of the technician's computer before returning his workstation. He inserted the stick into his workstation and opened up a log file detailing every key stroke and time. It wasn't long before the unicorn managed to gleam the password and started accessing some of the student records. Specifically his student records to change a few grades of his. "Ahem" Somepony said or rather the technician who had a stern look on his face. "Report to detention after school Back Track. I'm going to inform the principle of this" He said sternly before kicking the colt out of the computer lab along with his equipment. The stallion sighed before making his way back to his locker. "Mom is going to kill me for this."

Back Track had been captivated by most of his classes so far. In microcomputer applications he was helping on planning a presentation that him and a group of other students on computer safety for fillies. The next class was history which was an all right course. The stallion didn't mind it so much, as history was one of his favorite subjects though it didn't look like that to the other classmates. As soon as class ended it was nearly time for lunch and most students if not all would probably fill up the lines for food. Though not this unicorn. Back Track made his way to his locker and grabbed his cold lunch which was nothing too exciting. A cold sandwich, chips and a cookie everything a growing boy needed or at least what he needed. Instead of heading towards the cafeteria though, Back Track began making his way to the computer lab instead. (OOC: Sorry I haven't posted lately)

@@Rainbow Eclipse, Back Track was hypnotized by the cheese, his love for cheese had gone back long way and before he knew it he was practically behind Riley. However his logic caught up with him when out of the corner of his eye he saw Riley looking down. "Ummm, are you all right? Is there anything that I can help out with?" He asked trying to make himself somewhat useful.

@@Rainbow Eclipse, The unicorn was a little disappointed that he wouldn't be getting his own room, but he had to work with what he's got. He grinned a bit though at Riley's pun though. "Does it matter where we set our stuff up?" He asked Riley. Though his gaze soon shifted to the cheese as he did love cheese. The taste of cheese was practically in his DNA.

@@FortyTwo42, @@Rainbow Eclipse, Back Track also made note of that at Shadowhide. The stallion thought that it was just a roommate, but instead there were quite a lot of ponies here. "E-excuse me, I was also quite curious if you'll have enough room for this many ummm ponies? I mean I understand the rules of course" He also asked Riley.

@@Rainbow Eclipse, "Y-yeah that's me. it's nice to meet you too," He said, not expecting such an enthusiastic stallion. Back Track was taken a little by surprise that he even knew his name before introducing himself. "Ummm, I don't want to be much of a bother to you, so where do I get situated? and are there any rules that I should know about? Besides, paying rent that is." He asked Riley, before noticing that he was looking him over. "Why is he looking me up and down? Do I really look that bad?" He thought to himself.

@@Rainbow Eclipse, The stallion was caught off guard when it was a mare that had greeted him. Back Track still had that social awkwardness especially around mares. "U-ummm okay then, th-thank you." He stuttered before making his way awkwardly past the mare and towards Riley who looked like he was busy with another guest and didn't want to interrupt the two. "He seems busy though, it'd be rude to interrupt. No! All you have to do is approach him, introduce yourself and get situated that's it!" He thought to himself. The stallion gulped and then approached the two. "E-Excuse me, I'm terribly sorry to interrupt, but are you Reily?" He asked the stallion. Back Track already knew that he wasn't looking too hot right now. He knew it was pretty obvious how nervous he was considering that he was in an unfamiliar environment.

@@Rainbow Eclipse, Back Track approached the door with multiple saddle bags in toe. It had been a long trip for the young stallion to get here, and he was a little nervous. It had been the first time to be away from his family and venturing out was something he rarely does if at all. Back Track's mane was as usual unkempt and flaky. The unicorn knocked at the door and soon set his gaze to the ground and remembering to be on his best behavior or whatever he perceived as "best behavior"

@@slimmyjimjim, "H-Hey, wait up!" He said, pursuing the mare before finally catching up to her. Even if it was a small distance, it was quite obvious that he was definitely not the athletic type of stallion. "So, what's your name?" Back Track asked the mare. It was a little direct for him to even ask flat out then again he wasn't one for subtlety.

The stallion began to gain consciousness and not just from hearing outside noises, but from somepony poking him. "Five more minutes mom," He mumbled still dazed from the impact. Though the unicorn soon began to realize that he wasn't laying on a bed and he definitely wasn't inside due to the birds chirping. Back Track sat up and took in his surroundings. He was bewildered by where he was. He remembered being at a bookstore and now he was here. "Where am I?" He asked before noticing the mare from the shop as well. "Oh, sorry didn't see you there. Ummm where are we? I could have sworn I was in Canterlot a few minutes ago." He stated before looking over the surroundings again. This forest definitely wasn't the Everfree Forest otherwise they'd be under attack right now.

@@slimmyjimjim, The unicorn had dropped his small bag of bits but, it was weird how the book opened up. Back Track soon narrowed his eyes at a line of text. Though it was vertical on the side of the page rather than horizontal which was weird for any book. "War comes at a price," He said before a blinding light appeared from the book and then a portal. It was unlike anything he'd seen before being pulled into the book. The next thing he knew he heard a loud thud and passed out.

@@slimmyjimjim, Back Track had gone through aisle and aisle until one book that caught his eye. Alternate History section of the book store. It was about the three tribes or rather kingdoms than tribes. This book looked old and dusty, but interesting. The book was called, "Clash of the Kingdoms". "Something to read I guess," He said before approaching the counter. The unicorn caught a glimpse of the mare behind the counter. She was an earth pony, but with style. The earth mare had a beautiful magenta mane and her eyes were like green gems. Clearly, this unicorn was more than nervous being around her. Back Track put the book on the counter and immediately grabbed some bits as way to avoid eye contact.

The stallion had carried his saddlebags full of books and tech. Though there was this one store that he wanted to try out. They had built it about a year ago and it was a new book store. Near the corner of 152nd NW street, which it was constructed on. It was called, "The Enchanted Bookstore". The unicorn had entered the construct which seemed like an unusual. There wasn't even a cafe or anything. Just old books, new books, textbooks, etc. Canterlot usually had plenty of cafe's yet this one didn't. "Bummer, guess I'll just buy an espresso somewhere else," He said to himself quietly as he examined the aisles. There was a wall sign that said, "Some books are truly enchanted". Obviously a crappy marketplace strategy he chuckled to himself.

Even if it's for a year or two, it calls for a celebration. The kid needs to learn how to grow up but then again that's what happens to some people when they get famous.
