  2. I'd be okay with that. Presto Ballet, anyone? I admit, I haven't listened to them much, but they were opening for Dream Theater a few years ago, so I looked them up, and they're pretty good. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iH5EaYVevok Also, some quintessential King Crimson: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nlNantlznCA
  3. Glad to know my love of Ayreon is known http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y_yxGo_lw7s Also, Kamelot is pretty damn good. Love Epica/Black Halo. Ironically, I first found out about Kamelot when reading about Epica (the band), and how they thought Epica (the Kamelot album) was so cool they renamed their band after it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGC8M12rh3w
  4. Wait... Tich pony is male? ... Goddammit. Now I feel really stupid
  5. Sleepytime Gorilla Museum. These guys are all over the genre map, but they're pretty consistently progressive, and it's always weird as hell. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AA8ADG_ei8U http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yf0BSdC40G0
  6. God, finally Symphony X, a favorite band of mine. New Mythology Suite is such a fantastic album. Shai Hulud is pretty progressive, I think:

Oh man, dat love hotel scene. I tried so many times to get into that shower... Anyway, I used to play FES a ton, but got stuck at the 6th full moon after spending too much time doing social links and not enough time leveling :/ One of these days, I think I'll just have to bite the bullet and spend hours grinding on the day before :/
  8. Ayreon is more progressive than anything posted here so far: And one of my all time favorite songs, also from Ayreon: I'll be back with more prog shortly. Other people should post now so I can post more music without it auto-attaching to this post and being subject to the "2 videos per post" rule.
  9. *get sick at work* *have to leave early* *can't even drive home without extreme head pain and have to call my mom to pick me up* *go back to work later* *new schedule* *5 hours a week for 3 weeks* FUCK. MY. BOSS.

  10. I'd have to say Activision. EA is a real contender, but I will NEVER forgive Activision for ruining Blizzard. EA is more or less the poster child of taking consumer feedback and throwing it out the window. Sure, plenty of companies don't listen to consumers, but at least others respect us enough to not give half-assed excuses and expect us to believe them. "Spore install keys only work 3 times because, come on, like you're ever going to own more than 3 computers in your life and want to be able to play your games, right? Right?" "Dead Space 3 has way more enemies than 1 and 2, but still has very scarce ammo. But don't worry, if you're having a hard time, you can always buy more ammo with MICROTRANSACTIONS :D" "SimCity has always-on DRM because why the fuck would anybody ever want to make a city without other people's cities effecting them? And why the fuck would you ever not be connected to the internet with a flawless connection that never goes out ever?" "What's the problem with always-on DRM? You buy vacuum cleaners even though the electricity goes out. I'm using this analogy because the electricity goes out as frequently as our servers, right? Right?" EDIT: Seems that last one was Microsoft. My bad.
  11. I agree with this. Phlog isn't very good, because airblasting so good. I generally use a strange flamethrower, or a backburner if the other team only has 1 or 2 soldiers/demos. I always use the Flare Gun, because crit flares are so damn good. You can kill anything in 2 or 3 hits with a flare gun. As for melee, usually the mailbox or home wrecker.
  12. I quit playing seriously a while ago. Now my friends and I just troll the other team with spy or engi spam. Best was when an IRL friend, KKR, and I all built our buildings in the other teams intel room on 2fort. One of us grabbed the intel, but then just stayed with our engi nest, so our team couldn't capture it. We had teleporters to and from or respawn area, we dispenser and sentries guarding every entrance. It was set up in a way that even an ubered player couldn't get in, because of all the knock back from the sentries, so they could only ever see and destroy one sentry. Which we would quickly rebuild. We're all good engies, so the few spies that did get in got killed quickly without doing any real damage. Even though the enemy grabbed out intel quite a few times, they couldn't get it back to their own room, and because one of us was always carrying the intel while maintaining the nest, the game went into overtime. At this point, everybody left the server except us 3 engies, and 4 players on the other team. They need got through, and eventually the game went into Sudden Death. 3 engies is a shitty Sudden Death team, so we lost. Still, best game ever. Another time, the same friend and I went spy, equipped the Cloak and Dagger and the dapper that reverses the building process, and trolled the other teams engies the entire game. Don't remember what the map was called, but there's a big open space around the intel, so there was plenty of places to hide. One of use would sap something while they weren't looking, so the engies would rush over there to knock it off and try to find the spy. Meanwhile, the other would run to the other side of the nest and sap a few things. It'd just go back and forth. Eventually, they got 2 pyros to camp the place, but we were good enough to get caught more than once or twice. At one point, a Heavy joined, so we had effectively taken half their team out of the game, looking for two spies
  13. It has been agony not being able to talk about all the super cool poniverse stuff that's in the works. Good to know that more information will be made public As for me attending the con... it's up in the air, but most likely a no
  14. Been feeling some bi-curiosity lately. Although, I've also wondered about transgenders and intersexes, so would I call that pan-curious? Not sure where this might take me, or even if I'll act on it. I've been doing fine without any romantic or sexual contact with anyone for several years.
  15. 65 Steam games, 38 Humble Bundle games (not counting ones that I redeemed on Steam), 17 GOG games, and God knows how many others... and I have no idea what I want to play :(

Skyrim barely runs on my computer, and Morrowind is better anyway.

      And I decided to replay Half-Life 2.

  16. Whales aren't considered hoofed-animals, actually. While they are in the same Superorder, they are in a different order and are not grouped with hoofed-animals because they are fully aquatic, and do not support their weight on their toes. Also, it's worth noting that horses are in a different order than hippos. However, since we've seen cows and buffalo talk, which are in the same order as hippos, I wouldn't rule out their ability to talk. Relevant (it's a very large chart, so I'm not embedding it to save this page from heinous load times): http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/2/28/Cladogram_of_Cetacea_within_Artiodactyla.png Also, this is a kids show with talking animals, so trying to determine which animals can talk and which can't based on phylogenetics is pointless
  17. I'm male I agree with this. Also, if a man says something in a forest, and his wife isn't around to hear him, is he still wrong?
  18. I think it's mostly just a coincidence. A lot of bronies are denizens of the internet, and a lot of denizens of the internet are atheist. The internet itself has a lot more influence on religion than being a brony does.
  19. The Dale quote is pretty funny out of context, given how dramatic he is when he asks it. But the random Thomas the Tank Engine face is what got me.

  21. I'll finally know what it feels like to be relevant And congratulations to my fellow mods who have ascended to Globalness. You're one step closer to UNLIMITED POWAAAAAHHHH!
  22. Go to Wikipedia, click "random page" until you find something vaguely interesting, and then follow internal links for hours. It's how I became a genius It's a pretty fun way to learn random stuff, and if you do it enough, you end up being really good at Jeopardy
  23. Plummeh's quote notification landed me in the 4570's.
