  1. "I should go to bed early since I have to get up early" *plays Bioshock until 2am*

  2. I made a 12,400+ character blog post about how my music tastes have changed throughout my life. No brohoofs or comments. tl;dr is part of it, I think. Or maybe nobody was interested? Anyway, maybe it's just me, but a lot of the time, I read posts without looking to see who posted them. If something about the post sticks out, I'll look to see who it is, and if I like the post, I'll brohoof it.
  3. Probably Ravenclaw. I'm all about knowledge, learning and experimenting just for the sake of finding new stuff out. Haven't taken any quizzes for it or anything, though.
  4. I'm so mad my floor is turning into lava. Which really sucks for the rest of the people here, because I'm on the 3rd floor. Do you object to me turning off my computer, taking a shower, and going to bed?

    Anti desu

This is a joke, by the way.
  6. Eh hem... Conservative here. Well, more of a libertarian, really, but I'm very conservative on economic issues, more liberal on social ones. However, 90% of the time, the state of the economy is more important than whatever social issue is popular at the time, so I usually vote conservative. Sue me. Anyway, I think bronies are our own worst enemy. Most fandoms eventually end up being their own worst enemy. Just look at the Sonic fandom, or the Avatar fandom. Nobody really hates on them, but a lot of them hate each other. It's already happening among bronies; cloppers vs anti-cloppers, derpy is offensive vs not offensive, pony grimdark is okay vs not okay, even heated fights over who the best pony is. I'm sorry, but we have seen the enemy, and he is us. Who get's the reference?
  7. I did! Fantastic book What about Fahrenheit 451, another favorite of mine?
  8. Basically 9 months. They only have seasons in the summer, for some reason :/ I'm always waiting for more Sherlock. Still waiting for Firefly to return
  9. One would think I'd have learned by now: every other redbox DVD I rent is scratched to the point where I can't watch the entire movie :/

    1. Otter

      Otter

Really? I've never had a super-scratched Redbox DVD.

    2. Creamy Arty

      Creamy Arty

Every movie I've rented from The Pirate Bay has been in pristine condition.

I prefer to rent from Demonoid, but they've been unavailable for quite some time.

Also, I like DVDs since I can play them on my PS2 and it doesn't take system resources away from whatever I'm doing on my computer.

  10. It's actually been out for several years. This is just to see if they can release it on Steam, since it'll get a lot more sales and publicity that way. Unless they're going to remake it or something.

    gaming YGOpro

Is YGOpro free? I enjoy playing yugioh, but since I play a lot of Magic and card games are expensive hobbies, I can't be spending money on 2 of them.
  12. Well, I doubt it would work with a pirate copy, since you'd have to connect to the EA servers to effect other cities, unless you were playing on a private server. But in that case, you'd probably get kicked for screwing other people's stuff up. And the vast majority of Steam games don't have always-on DRM, since Steam has offline mode.
  13. The only reason I'd ever play it would be to abuse the whole "your city effects nearby cities" thing. I'd create a criminal haven and then laugh as all nearby cities also see an increased crime rate But always-on DRM is a major turn off.

    movies/tv Watching TV? RANT

This is why I watch Netflix. I can watch old, good TV series, and the occasional gems we get from current TV that aren't popular enough to get decent airtime. Also, watchcartoononline.com has a ton of series you can watch for free. Not sure if it's legal, but I;ve been using it for awhile, and nothing bad has happened. Videos are pretty good quality for being free, too.
  15. Here's why I prefer PC: 1. Mods. The ability to change almost any aspect of a game to make it more entertaining. This alone puts PCs ahead of consoles, IMO. 2. Keyboard and mouse is better for anything except fighting games and beat 'em ups. 3. Unofficial patches. No need to wait for the developer to fix game-breaking bugs; there's usually a fanmade patch within a day or 2 of release. 4. PC games are more likely to have frequent updates, as well as free updates. With console games, you're lucky to get updates at all. Plenty of costly DLC, though :/ 5. Waaaaaaaay more exclusives on the PC, and tons of cool indie games. 6. Emulation, 'nuff said. 7. Waaaaaaay more customizable controls, and custom control devices. 8. PC is a universal platform with pretty much 100% backward compatibility. To play a wide spread of old and new console games, you need multiple consoles. A lot of consoles these days don't even have backwards compatibility. To play a wide spread of old and new PC games, you just need a PC and know how to turn on compatibility modes. 9. You can upgrade a PC. 10. PCs can also be used for work, listening to music, watching TV/movies, surfing the web, watching porn, communicating with friends, etc.
  16. You'll have to forgive me for still calling you Claudia. I have a habit of calling internet buddies by the first name I've seen them use.

    technology Mac vs. PC

Well, put it this way. My laptop is more than 3 years old, and was pretty average back then. It's really nothing special, at all. The best possible Macbook Air you can buy from the site is worse than my laptop in every single way except that it has more RAM, and it costs nearly 6x as much as mine did when it was new. This isn't even counting the fact that it has no CD drive, fewer ports, and is so thin it can literally bend under too much stress (like a fall of more than a foot).

    technology Mac vs. PC

Well, it's not really a premium product, unless you pay Apple a ton more money to upgrade it from the basic specs. See this picture: I honestly don't see why somebody can justify spending so much when a PC with similar or even greater specs costs so much less. All you're really getting for the extra money when you buy a mac is admittedly cool looking hardware. If you're willing to spend that much money on a shiny looking box for your parts, then I'm afraid we'll never see eye-to-eye. Also, you can't upgrade a mac without paying Apple quite a lot of money to do it for you, so yes, they aren't nearly as good for gaming. Not to mention that many older games don't work on mac, even if newer ones do. Also also, saying macs are better for art isn't true. There is nothing Macs have the PCs don't have an equivalent of. Macs are simply marketed better.
  19. Oh, I know. I usually wear panties to bed anyway. They're a lot more comfortable, and they keep my junk in place, unlike boxers. But $40 is too much for a Fluttershy thong and a bra I'd never wear.
  20. Eh, I've always though cosplay costume are too expensive, but I'm not a cosplayer, and all the cosplayers I know make their own costumes. And I sink hundreds of dollars into my hobbies, so who am I to talk? I would totally wear that underwear if I was a women. And even though I'm not, I'd still totally wear those panties to bed.

    movies/tv John Stossel

I had an American History teacher who would play clips from Stossel's shows from time to time. I like him, he has good ideas and is good at communicating them.
  22. Third would probably be British humor. Especially dark British humor. I love how well British comedians can pull off deadpan, dry humor. I especially love sketch and situational comedy. Some favorites of mine are Month Python, Rowan Atkinson (love Mr. Bean), and the show Outnumbered. Second would be some memes. I used to spend a lot of time on 4chan (back when it was worth spending time on), and some seriously funny stuff came out of that time. My top 3 memes would have to be Troll Science, Bachelor Frog, and Fuck the Police, in that order. But the most hilarious things to me are epic moments of trolling, especially when they happen in real life. Also, I love it when peoples lives get screwed up (when they deserve it, of course). One of my favorite IRL troll stories in the spoilers:
  23. Eh, they're 2 totally different sodas, and hard to compare. But, seeing as Dr. Pepper is my favorite soda, naturally I like it better than Root Better.
