On a different note, from your reply (the second part), it sounded like you taught yourself trumpet (like, without a band director). Was it just me, or have you taught yourself the trumpet independently?

Interesting... That's a pretty cool way of thinking about languages, maybe i'll try it sometime ;p.

Probably won't work though, my teacher teaches more with different memory hooks, which hes pretty good with though.

Some words just seem to workout though, like they just look like they mean something, hard to explain, its not like a cognate, but like it just makes sense sometimes.

And others are totally random and odd..

And no i didn't teach myself trumpet, i was just saying that teaching yourself intstruments is hard compared to having others teach you, i guess i kinda made it a bit hard to understand the way i worded it though, sorry.

But yeah, all i really play that well is trumpet, I have a keyboard I wanna learn, and maybe acoustic guitar i have, but its quite difficult, you have to stick to it a good bit.
