    So dude, question: gonna have a small bit at the end of the chapter where two characters are just talking in German. Shouldn't be too long, but do you think that's a little too gratuitous and asking the readers too much, or that they can just use Google translate?

      Tricky. One fic I read a while back had Soarin' be from Germaneigh, and occasionally speak in German. I thought it worked, and if the passage isn't too long I think it could be fine. You could have a translation in the author's notes if you think that could help.
