Ya know what's really weird? I've found that people favorite a fic on fimfic more than they like one; why the heck don't you do both if you do one or the other? LOL!!! XD
Maybe other people are different than I am . That seems pretty unusual though. Sometimes I favorite a fic and realize that I haven't upvoted it until later, so that might happen to you. I can't explain that though.
