    I had a lot of fun with this movie. Feels like it's been a while since I had a dose of anything Sci-Fi, so it was a nice breath of fresh air. The characters were entertaining (Rocket and Quill in particular) and it was even better to see all those guys get closer together and become something of a family, in spite of some initial differences . Visuals were super too, and I thought the music did just fine in establishing the tone of the movie. I'll throw out the common complaint about the villains not being interesting enough, though I had more of a problem with Gamora's sister than Ronan , but I felt the main cast carried the film just fine. I'd love to see some more of these guys

    Adding sweaters to the list of clothes I want to see in the show. Rainbow Dash is a tough horse, but I'm sure her cloud house would get mighty chilly in the winter

    hehehehehehehehehehehehehehe They totally did this in Community with Jack Black whoa Pinkie Pride kinda To answer the thread's question, I wouldn't object terribly hard to Sunset Shimmer joining the cast, but I'm assuming she'll have that Equestria Academy thing to become more flushed out anyway. If they need new character interactions and somebody else to focus on, I'd sooner they just paid a little more attention to Spike.

    1: Rainbow Dash 2: Applejack 3: Pinkie Pie and Spike 4: Rarity and Scootaloo Four slots, six characters, but still five ponies. Spike, AJ and Scoots all grew on me when I rewatched a few seasons earlier this summer.

    Hiya @Blazen Flame, , and , just letting you know that I've merged your threads with a pinned one that we have for talking about our favorite characters and why we like them so much . My favorite's always been Rainbow Dash. I enjoy her feisty and goofy personality, for one, but that's just the beginning. I also love all the conflicts that she has to go through. She's a character who dreams big, but cares about her integrity and doing the right thing even more than any of her fantasies of glory and success. She's an egotistical pony who wants to be the best, but she's also a pony who's very afraid of not being good enough. She's very self-centered, but her element is all about dedication to others and she's more than willing to rise to the occasion. She's had some damn good character development without losing anything that made her appealing in the first place too, and I'm looking forward to seeing it continue

    Ooh, I'm playing through this right now . I've finished three of the routes so far, and am currently partway through Rin's. As for the questions Shizune for the time being. She's spirited, funny and a genuinely nice person even if she might have some trouble getting along with people. That said though, I sure do like Rin and it's very possible that she'll take this spot when I'm done with her route. Hanako's route was pretty cool, even if she doesn't appeal to me as much as some of the other characters. It had some great character moments from her, Lilly, and even Misha and Shizune. Very pleasant surprise, especially since I was expecting Shizune to come off as a lot more bitchy in other characters' routes. I really liked the message too, though I could say the same for Emi and Shizune's routes. I put "Maybe, if they handled them right". Misha's an amazing character who I relate to more than most people in this game, but I'm not sure if there'd be much to do that wasn't already covered in Shizune's story . As for Kenji, shrug. He's a terrific and hilarious character. If somebody could make a more serious arc featuring him, I'd be sure to give it a go. I'm really impressed by most everything, the art, the writing, the characters, the music, it's been a treat to play. All the more impressive considering that it was an independent project. It's pretty incredible, knowing that a bunch of random people took an idea and a few sketches and turned them into such a powerful story (or stories )

    Applejack's gonna kick trees, take names and grow as a character in Season 5. It'll be pretty sweet. Locking the thread, seeing as how rumors of her demise have been greatly exaggerated.

      she just wanted to videotape her battles and put them on YouTube and was that so wrong

       

      if she'd only had a camera, she'd have styled on all those angels and uploaded cool video montages for us all to see

       

      these videos would have mended the holes in everyone's hearts and prevented instrumentality

    My younger siblings are fraternal twins. They really tended to piss one another off when they were younger, but now they seem to appreciate having someone the same age to spend time with. I remember really wanting a brother or a sister, and being surprised to hear both were on the way . House got a lot louder, for sure

    Omigosh little Dashie with her soccer ball . I bet the bandage is from having to move the ball with her head and all, since it doesn't look like filly legs would be very helpful for kicking. Come to think, pony legs bend the wrong way anyway

    Lightning Dust coming back would make me squee like a filly. She contrasts with Rainbow Dash in too many interesting ways to be benched after only one episode, and the ending of Wonderbolt Academy made her future very open-ended. Does she resent Rainbow Dash and/or the Wonderbolts for getting between her and her dream? Is her goal of being a Wonderbolt really out of reach for her? What does a pony who chases their dreams with such relentless, even cold-blooded, determination do when that dream is suddenly snatched away? I wanna know . I want Rainbow Dash to be disgusted by her, but also help her grow as a person because she sees something of herself in Lightning. I want a lot of things On a lesser level, Cheese Sandwich, Trixie and Coco Pommel would be pretty sweet too. Also Gilda, but I'd prefer a flashback episode for her.

    Video editing would be pretty cool. It's something I've been passively interested in for a long time and I'm only just starting to get into it now. Hopefully I'll stick with it and it'll get easier. Kinda annoying to have a good idea floating around in your head and being unable to get it out, and that'll hopefully happen less often. Tennis would be nice too, though I'm not in full I WANNA BE THE VERY BEST mode like I used to be. Nowadays I feel like it's one step forward, one step back a lot of the time. I need to get in better shape and learn to serve Cooking too, I suppose. Hardly do it at all, and rarely get good results when I do (I feel an immense sense of pride when I don't burn scrambled eggs, for example ), but it's something find really relaxing and enjoyable.

    Chilly Dashie in a scarf is exactly what the doctor ordered . I like scarves, and I hope Rainbow wears one in a future winter episode.

    Now, see, I'd call this another example that she's changed for the better since the beginning of Season 2. More times where she's been kind and supportive only seems to back up the fact that she's been growing up a lot recently, and in some very good ways . I get that you want more, and I do too, but Rainbow Dash's attitude is changing for the better even if she's not as sensitive or humble as you might want her to be.

    All that arrogance and rudeness though. Nobody's saying that Rainbow Dash is perfect or that she's going to be an amazingly selfless and humble horse overnight (that'd be boring, after all -_-), but she's definitely moving in the right direction.

    Twilight Sparkle, mostly because I want her to do do less in big time two part episodes/movies and deal with more day-to-day anxious nerd problems. Or managing conflicts between people and having to make difficult princess decisions, and doing it in her dorky Twilight way. I loved Twilight in Testing Testing 1, 2, 3, but I felt like I hadn't been able to connect with her that way in a long time. I even remember thinking to myself "Twily, you're back :D" Basically, less Fate of Equestria problems, more Twilight problems. That would make me a happeh boy Funny enough, I'm kind of the opposite way. @Stellafera made a good post earlier that sums up my thoughts on Dash's ego very well. Overall, I think Dash has a comparable problem with a lack of self-confidence than she does with arrogance and self-centeredness, as strange as it might sound. I get the sense that when she's saying she's awesome/the best/the fastest/(insert Rainbow boast here), she's trying to convince herself as much as anypony else. She's crumbled into a pathetic, nervous, desperate, defeated wreck too many times under pressure for me to say that her problem is as simple as being overconfident. I find the whole dynamic to be really interesting. And to Rainbow's credit, she's been showing a lot more of her caring, mature and kind side in recent seasons as opposed to the arrogant one. Yay growth Whereas with Trixie, showmareship aside, she seemed to be enjoying what she did to Applejack, Dash and Rarity a little too much, and that rubbed me the wrong way. Which isn't to say that those three were faultless angels in that episode, but Trixie's behavior in that scene reminded me a bit of Dash in Fall Weather Friends. That being one of the times where I found Dash's attitude particularly grating instead of enjoying it for the cute bluster that it is. Dash's had some terrific character development that washed the taste of that episode out of my mouth a long time ago, though, and Trixie hasn't been as lucky. To clarify, I'm more neutral on Trixie than anything and I'm sure I'd like her more if she got more screentime. Kathleen Barr has an amazing voice and I'm all about ham, which Trixie can produce in spades . I also think it's unfair of me to be hung up on one little thing that happened so long ago, especially since it tends to irritate me when others to that to Rainbow Dash , but I thought I'd throw it out since the subject came up.

    Twilight-Spellbooks of course. Helps that they're pretty combo-y and take a bit of thought to pilot. Applejack-Geargia. Thematically, something with Plants would be far better of course, but this deck is Applejack. Consistent, reliable, strong, and it's still Earth. Pinkie Pie-Madolche. Though she might switch to something else after she discovers just how much Tiaramasu can piss people off Rainbow Dash- Elemental Hero. Shiny, colorful, flashy, heroic, fun, seems like something she'd go for. Fluttershy- Stall/Final Countdown. Disliker of confrontation that she is, Fluttershy doesn't like playing in a way where she has to destroy things or battle. She also doesn't understand that this is one of the meanest and most rage-inducing ways to play the game Rarity- Crystal Beasts. Cause shiny. Suppose she could come up with some creative OTK that would suit her just as well. Spike- annihilates everyone with Dragon Rulers . Who'd have thought a child could be good at a children's card game? Celestia-Lightsworn, duh. She has a card named after her for pony's sake. Luna-Constellars? I feel like there's something better that I'm not thinking of. All I know is that she throws big royal tantrums when Celly sacks her with Judgment Dragon. Trollestia indeed. Ooh, I like these . The Mare Do Well thing in particular too if Dash is playing regular Heroes. Kinda a smack in the face to use the more modern and competitive version of what she plays .
