And do you find that meaningless?

That, I don't. It's the love that everyone flaunts. It's the kind you hear about all over the media. That gets played a hundred times. It's so prevalent in society that it's been watered down for me. Everyone who's in a relationship has to brag about it. Everyone has to get married at 20 years old. Why? Is it selfish to take a few years to yourself to mature? I certainly don't think so.

As for my friend, I don't find it meaningless. Friends don't need to hold hands or kiss or anything like that to "prove" they care about each other. They don't feel compelled to buy the other person things and a good friend will slap the crap out of you when you're on the wrong track. It seems like in romance these days, you can't do that without there being the risk of a breakup. And that's why I find romantic love meaningless.
