It just baffles me. Plastered all over the internet, olympics stuff. I mean, it's not that I have anything against those who enjoy the stuff, but why does it have to be forced on everything? What if every time a few guys started a round of TF2, ads and crap were plastered everywhere?

Because the Olympics are treated as a tradition upheld by countries, rich and poor. TF2 is for those who have an interest in F2P FPS and lolz.
