  1. Yup. My Steam avatar. Nothing exciting. I need a new Steam avatar.
  2. It sucks to have a collection stolen. It's the reason I stopped collecting 'em in the first place. Funny, because my older brother traded them for Yu-Gi-Oh and Magic the Gathering cards. Only cards I really collect these days are the MLP trading cards. Rock on, man. Rock on. And by "rock" I mean, keep collecting and stuff.
  3. Welcome to the forums! Always nice to see another Fluttershy fan. Welcome aboard. Even more active posters are always a good thing. So here, have a brohoof. /)
  4. Welcome to the forums! I'm sure you'll fit in here just fine. Stick around, post, all that good stuff. You'll find this forum fits your needs, as we keep things SFW around here, and we've got a ton of gamers around here.
  5. Favorite pony is Twilight Sparkle? Trading card collector? You like cats, Pokemon, Batman TAS, potatoes and old video games from the '90s? You, sir, are awesome. Anyways, welcome to the forums. Given your Google search terms, it did indeed bring you to the right place. There's lots to do here, so stick around, make yourself at home. Just curious, how far back does your Pokemon card collection go?
  6. Welcome to the forums! Rainbow Dash is indeed one of the best ponies. Anyways, welcome to the forums and stuff. (You don't really beat up ponies, do you? )
  7. TL;DR That means Totally Legendary; Diligently Read. The mods have a lot to do around here. So many members and all that. It's a big job, so it makes sense we'd need a proportionally-big staff team. I wasn't a sectional mod for long before I resigned, but I was one long enough to know it's a lot of work to monitor even a couple spots on the forum. And I also got a peek at the top secret MLPforums meth lab, or "crystal pony kingdom". Organization, huh? I can think a certain purple unicorn who could help with that... Anyways, I have no doubts that everypony's worries will be addressed. Don't have much else to say, other than I'm looking forward to see what the future holds. Though, the season 3 rush is gonna be a doozy.
  8. For whoever reads it, I'm gonna start a little section of this here blog where I ramble on about games I've played recently. They really won't be "reviews" per se, but rather just bits of info I feel like talking about, like my feelings on the game, whether it's worth buying and playing, etc. With that said... The Ys series is one that I, sadly, have only recently gotten into. I heard about it, but never got around to trying it. Then one day I did, and realized I was missing out on the best RPGs I have played. It dethroned Dragon Quest, though I still keep Dragon Quest on a pedestal for turn-based RPGs, and Ys on a pedestal for action RPGs. Still, I like Ys better. Which is why I'm gonna say, if you can buy any of the games, do so. While Ys I and II are hard to get hold of for a PC gamer (you'll have to turn to fan translations and such), there's a PSP version, and I believe Ys I and II are on the Wii's Virtual Console as well. However, Ys: The Oath in Felghana (Ys III remake), as well as Ys Origin (prequel to I and II) are much easier to get. They're on Steam, and well worth the cost (Oath in Felghana is 14.99$ while Origin is 19.99$) if you ask me. You get a lot of game for your money, and if you can't play I and II, you shouldn't feel alienated, really, since, while there is a continuity, you won't feel like like you haven't got a clue what the heck's going on because of how the story is. If you buy them, though, be prepared for some epic ARPG action, with fittingly epic boss battles. Now, with that out of the way, I'll go onto talking about the game this entry is title is named after. I picked up the PS2 version of AoN a while back, for a reasonable price, but I put off playing the game for a while. However, recently I picked it up, and the first thing I noticed is that the controls were really good. Once I got into the game and unlocked more functions, I realized that the controls felt right. It's hard to talk about controls because the only way to know if a game controls right is to play it firsthand. Might seem like an odd thing for me to mention, but for any games, especially ones of this genre, the control has to be good, or the greatest game can be a POS. This game gets controls right. There is a certain kind of jump, however, that gave me a hard time. Essentially, you let go of the control pad/stick, and with proper timing, slash, then jump, which flings you a wide distance. This is necessary in some spots. It didn't give me major problems, but it was annoying because I had a hard time pulling it off right. Don't know if it's a control problem, or just me failing to grasp a simple concept. Either way, it doesn't drag the game down. Mechanics are typical Ys fare. Slashing is there (obviously), jumping's there, the works. Magic is in the form of three swords you obtain, that you cycle through with L1 and R1. You've got wind, in the form of a spinning cyclone that you can use to ram through enemies, dealing many hits. You've got fire, in the form of a line of fire that deals heavy damage, the heaviest of all the magic. Then, you've got electricity, in the form of a bolt of electricity that arcs from enemy to enemy. Great for some bosses, this is the one you'll probably use most when you're running around on the field, because you can take out groups of weaker enemies with it effortlessly. The music. Well, it's Falcom, so of course it's amazing. The bosses. Well, I'll admit, the bosses seemed kinda... weak when compared to the other games in the series I've played. I've only touched normal difficulty for AoN, but even then, I can say without a doubt they were less of a challenge to me then the previous games' bosses. Seems like, once I figured out what to do when fighting each boss, many of them went down quickly. Even the final boss. Maybe I overleveled, I dunno. Either way, the boss fights are still really fun, and they were still challenging enough to be entertaining and hold my attention. Art's great, story's good. Don't want to elaborate more because I'm trying to keep this fairly spoiler-free. Is the game worth getting? Yes. While the main story of this game may be rather short (can't remember specifically how much time I spent playing it, but it's no Blue Dragon, that's for sure), the game's got a lot of meat to it, in the form of sidequests, levels, upgrades, and people to talk to. All dialogue has voice acting, and while a couple voices may make you cringe, most of them are pretty good. You'll spend quite a few hours exploring, killing enemies, bosses, talking with characters, furthering the story, there's just a lot of stuff to do. Definitely a good game to add to your PS2 library. If you like action RPGs, hunt this game down. You will not regret it.

  10. I know that friendship isn't instant, and that it's kind of a blow to have a close friend leave, but what I'm saying is, you really shouldn't let that get to you as heavy as it is with some people. And even then, it isn't like the people who leave are dead. They frequently leave a means for their friends to contact them. While it sucks to see them leave the forums, well, that's their choice, and their actions, not yours. You are still free to enjoy the forums and such. I'll be blunt. If a person leaves a forum just because one member left, they really didn't care much about the forums anyway. That's quite a good post there. Just thought I'd actually say that instead of just leaving it as an impersonal brohoof. You make an excellent point about the welcoming plaza. I'm not sure what's caused people to stop posting in it as much, but either way, we need more greeters. Heck, the amount of people who greeted me when I first joined are a big part of why I stuck around. Don't believe me? I actually said so back then.
  11. Lately, I’ve been seeing talk on the forums, about how select members leaving is going to be the end of the place. Well, to an extent, I can see how feeling this way is justified. Heck, it sucks seeing members leave. However, the end of the forums? Nope. We have 6.7k members. Sure, like all forums, a lot of those are one-time posters, banned accounts, etc. but still, a large chunk of that are actively posting members. This point of mine can be confirmed further by simply scrolling down to the bottom of the main page of the forums, and seeing that the amount of users currently online is actually pretty high. And a good chunk of those members are posting as well. I don’t know if I can get exact numbers, but this place moves so fast that it’s difficult to keep up on new threads. On a dying forum, you could use the “new content search” every couple hours or so and would be able to keep up the forums easy. But on these forums, if a person really wanted to keep up with every single thread, they’d probably have to spend all day hitting “F5“. Along with these things, you’ve got the blogs, the status updates (which are used a bit much, and more like a shoutbox than status updates, which is a bad thing, but that’s just my opinion), and the Extranet stuff; The forum Skype group, the Minecraft server (I don’t know how active that is, since I don’t play the game), the TF2 server, which gets played on (mostly on Saturdays) as well as Synchtube Fridays. Things change, members leave. It’s just a thing that happens to forum. But the My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic fanbase is strong, and grows stronger every day, so of course the best MLP:FIM fan-forum on the internet is going to be thriving. There are always things to discuss, conversations to have, friendships to make, so on and so forth. A couple members leaving the forum is not gonna be the end of the place. Sure, it sucks to see them go, but well, it happens. Some members are more liked by the community than others, and it’s going to have an impact on the place, sure. But, corny as it sounds, wounds heal. New members fill in the places of old members who left, more things happen that make the forums better. What I’m saying is, don’t let the fact some members are leaving drag your forum experience down. MLPforums will always be MLPforums.
  12. lol flood of status updates about people leaving.

  13. And if any person is not a fan of the show for any reason, we should lynch them.
  14. We need a Chainsaw Bouffant banner. :D

  15. For that, here, have a smokin' hot picture of Vixonia.
  16. Awww. <3 And I may later today, but I don't know. I may be too busy riding my Harley with the Hell's Furries and causing chaos in some small town to.
  17. Thank you. I may have made my vixen fursuit out of old couch fabric, but damn it, I've got guts, and Vixonia shall rule the highway! The Hell's Furries will conquer the open road!
  18. What? Fake? How dare you accuse me of lying. It is my dream, to ride with my furry biker gang, whose leader is the Toxic Avenger for some reason. Wind against my fur, sun against my whiskers, nothing can hold me back~
  19. My dearest friends at MLPforums. I find it is time I leave. Do not be offended. Nopony did anything wrong, I didn’t stop liking ponies, it’s just, the site is holding me down. I need to move forward with my life. I feel like I am going to be making some extremely drastic changes, and I don’t think I can make those changes with MLPforums still in my life; because it will keep reminding me of the past. For, you see, there’s really no easy way to say this, so I will give it to you straight. You deserve it. So I won’t jerk you around. I am a male who wishes to be a female fox. I now feel like my entire life, I have been a lesbian biker vixen trapped in the body of a fat, bearded gamer. I must let my inner soul free from the hunter’s trap I have placed it in, so I can be free to live as the leather-clad huntress I dream of, hunting in the afternoon sun for small rodents atop my Harley... I get shivers just thinking about it. Foxes and ponies do not get along. I feel that, if I keep enjoying ponies, I cannot let my inner biker vixen out, because she wants to attack the ponies, but deep down knows it’s wrong to do so, so she hides in shame. So, I’m sorry forums, but we must part ways. I can’t go on living like this, torn apart by both ponies and my vixen soul. I would fight it and keep enjoying ponies, but I must leave, and satisfy my inner vixen. I have to let her free, to ride into the sunset with my furry biker gang. The highway thirsts for the wheels of her Harley, and the sky lusts for the breath of her Harley's exhaust. Which reminds me, I need to join a furry biker gang. With that, I bid adieu. lol jk. Pretty obvious, but I felt like if I didn't put this, somepony might actually think I'm being serious.
  20. #POOTIS day today :D :D :D
