Watched the 'Mini' Nintendo Direct and my enthusiasm for the Switch in 2018 has dropped considerably.

Are you kidding? I wanted to see Hyrule Warriors on a stronger Console.
And I fail to see which games are "low-key". Can you point them out?

Don't get me wrong, I like Hyrule Warriors, but that is still a port. As for the low-key games that weren't ports, I would consider the Ys game and the Mario Tennis in that category. Mario Tennis looked alright I suppose, but for now there's little to go on in terms of that.
I think what bothers me most of all though, in all of this, is Nintendo's smug attitude towards their fans. Nintendo acts like they don't have to give us any information at all for anything, but then blames people for hyping themselves up, despite the fact that is all we can do since they give us nothing to go on. They were going so far to troll people on Twitter because of the fake leaks and people believing those leaks, when all they had to do was tell people "Hey, we have a Mini Direct coming soon!" and that would have solved the problem. Instead, they kept it one giant secret all for it to be mostly ports anyway. Now, Nintendo is probably going to be all silent about any further show they might do and we will get no information, again. It kinda kills any excitement I could possibly have.

Honestly, what's important is that I at least have something to look forward.
Plus several games I never got to play on the Wii U will be on the Switch. I think playing on a mobile device that can also be played on the T.V. is very convenient and where most of these ports should be played on! So, it will be better than if I had played those ported games on Wii U.
