Simple to say, but obviously not to apply. Until you allow yourself the "right" to happiness, you can't start growing or learn to enjoy life.

There is no proof for the 'every person this or that'. Nothing is destined, nothing is guaranteed just because. I know I cannot change, despite how much I despise myself. I was born incredibly flawed and it was only these past few years that I realized how useless I am. I was just completely oblivious to it when I was younger.

Part 1: The "proof" is in our design. Humans share the same basic mechanics of processing information. It's a given that any number of personalities is possible since different environments render different experiences. Even if a similar experience is shared, how someone registers the information will also vary. Despite all those underlying differences, we act on our emotions (whether consciously recognized or not). If you reach an all-time low, you can embrace despair or apathy.
