Just 'doing something productive' doesn't solve much either, I have done plenty of productive things, like make all of those mediocre sigs but those don't make much of a difference in anything. I am trying to play a stupid video game right now and not think but that obviously isn't working..

He needs to realize that he's not helping himself. He's beating himself up here trying to push everyone away only to want them to come back to continue listening to him.
