What exactly looks appealing with that film though? I know it is all opinion, but even in a religious standpoint, that movie looks very arrogant and unnecessary.

Personally, at least from the trailer, I see it as the story of a college kid (relatable to me) whose faith is challenged, and of his fight to keep his faith in a world that looks down on it. As a literal story, you're right, it does seem a fair bit unrealistic. But I think it's not meant to be literally about "How to stand firm in the face of arrogant atheists". I think that very specific, very defined conflict is meant more to represent the often vague but still definitely p...

... but still definitely present conflict that many Christians face in an increasingly secular culture. Because many Christians do find it difficult to maintain their faith in this society, even if they really want to maintain it.
