The concept mainly being an overly long toy commercial because creating humans with clothes and accessories is easier and far more profitably. The idea its self had potential: set the universe in a different era, introduce new creatures, tackle more recent world issues we can identify with. But nah, just make a kids movie set in a school - that's never been done before!

Well, I do agree with the middle part. As "boring and cliche" as the canon stuff can be, it help give us fan fiction fuel to work with.

Heck, I found 5 different writers who actually did something with Flash Sentry's character, including one with a bittersweet ending of him coming out as gay to four of his guy friends and being given different reactions!
