    I am quickly despising 'timed events' in multiplayer games. They're just a forefront to push microtransactions.

      That's what they hope to bank on. People's limited time. They hope that people will not want to spend the time or even be able to feasibly spend the time to get that content before the event is over, meaning they must buy a bunch of loot crates or whatever in hopes of getting that content right away. It is quite slimy.
