  1. http://www.fimfiction.net/story/106982/road-gangs-ray-part-ii Sequel to the action-thriller Ray. Tempest escapes imprisonment and uses Ray's past teachings to turn mad bomber in attempt to kill him and the team responsible for putting him behind bars, under the diversion of radical road gangs fighting for supremacy of the roads and Equestria's new fuel supply.
  2. Now that this first installment to the "Rayverse" trilogy has been completed, I'm now working on the sequel Road Gangs: Ray Part II. I'll create a separate thread for it.
  3. Is anyone here good with animation? I really need some help with my Battlewings movie project. In one scene, Rainbow Dash is flying in a futuristic Canterlot and some of the buildings have giant billboards displaying all kinds of animated advertisements. What I need are two extremely short 2D animations to display on these billboards: -A female OC pony smoking a cigarrette, seductively turning towards our POV, blowing smoke at the screen, then giving a wink. -A female OC pony (probably the same one as above) putting a pill in her mouth, then giving us a wink. Preferably there should be a plain black background in these animations. I can do the product captions and logos myself, but I just need these two animations to start with. Any help would be much appreciated. No, I'm afraid I cannot pay for these (I'm quite broke), but I promise inclusion in the end credits for this effort.
  4. Thanks! Yeah, I think it is a bit darker. It was difficult to color from the black outline of the original pencil drawing, which slightly alters certain things seen in the original vector form. But I'm fine with that. Freehand pencil drawing is so much easier than digital drawing.
  5. Updating. Some are old, some are new... some I forgot to upload a while back. Nothing too spectacular yet, though I do have something planned.
  6. Some photos of a few of the model miniatures: The largest one is the USS "Dreadnaught", the main carrier starship used by the 125th. From left to right (below the Dreadnaught) in the first pic: "Hovercopter", heavy cargo shuttle "Iridani Princess" (formerly "Taarna" from another project that was abandoned), and the "Aeronaut". The rest are as follows: The enemy cargo logistics carrier starship, and the antagonist's fighter used at the end of the movie.
  7. More concepts: First image is a cockpit concept for the fighters in "pony-configuration." Second is Queen Chrysalis' flagship, though she may not be in the first installment of this story. (It was proposed for a possible continuation if people like Battlewings enough to want more). The rest are concepts for Canterlot in this retrofuturistic universe. They also correspond to my Imposters fanfic project because they basically take place in an extremely similar (if not the same) universe. And this is a rough cut of the Canterlot fly-over sequence early in the movie. I added a temp track from Blade Runner to fit the mood, though I may not actually use tracks from this movie in the final version. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JcNmyEt71MM
  8. Updating. The first three are covers for fanfictions. For the fourth one... if you can guess the movie reference, you're awesome.
  9. All I ever really listen to is stuff from the 70's and 80's, and I enjoy it all so much it's really difficult to choose favorites. But I suppose for the latter era, this may be an accurate favorites list: Adrenalin - Road of the Gypsy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LGF_R8wtgvA Queen - A Kind of Magic (Highlander Version) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xeLvu6mu4-s Queen - Princes of the Universe http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEJ8lpCQbyw Robert Tepper - Angel of the City http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5oYCPOQ4ZN4
  10. Some extras for the moment: The project was originally a prequel for my fan film of the Alien series, Alien Reborn, which has now been cancelled. This allowed for some changes in the story, which eventually lead to the decision of adding pony toys in it and adding a story around them. This is some of the original concept art: The original cover art prototype: "Battlewings" insignia prototype: Rough concept for an enemy mobile logistics and carrier starship in Battlewings, which I've started construction on already:
  11. Mysterious Mare Do Well is still my number-one least-favorite, but some of my others have changed now that Season 3 is almost over. Allow me to list them: 2. Spike at Your Service 3. Baby Cakes 4. Green Isn't Your Color 5. The Crystal Empire - Part 2
  12. Anyone remember me? I know, it's been ages since I last visited. So anyways, I'm announcing a new project in development. It is a MLP stop-motion project set in space, in our future. Note I used "our" in that sentence... you see, it takes place in the ponies' present time (well, maybe just a couple of years from the actual pony-present) but over a few-hundred years from our present time. I'll explain the storyline below, after I show you the trailer: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=T81LvoRMBRE The year is 2241. The Earth and its neighboring Solar planets have been destroyed, forcing outland humans to search for a new homeworld in the depths of alien space. They found one... For years us humans and an intelligent pony species have coexisted and shared our technological knowledge on this magical alien planet. But some of us sought total conquest, hoping to eliminate the pony species so that we can be the dominant species of the planet and space itself. A special unit was created with the cooperation of the Equestrian armed forces and the human militaries to counter these advanced terrorists, officially designated the 125th Stellar Defence Force. Also known as... Battlewings.
  13. Hmm... I hope I'm not derailing the topic by doing this, but I might as well take the oppertunity given the relevant subject. Two of the four moderators on my forum have stepped down from their roles. I was just wondering if anyone might be interested in taking over. PM me if anyone's interested.
  14. Being a huge Rainbow Dash fan, my answer is obviously Mysterious Mare Do Well. Everyone else expressed it better than I ever could so I won't add much except that I really didn't like the portrayal of her character.
  15. Twisted Metal 4 by far. No, it is not my favorite. But man is it addicting! I've been playing ever since I was 12, and I only had the demo copy back then! I also feel I should mention that in my honest opinion, TM4 is the best game in the Twisted Metal series as far as gameplay. The weapon inventory is perfect, the sound is perfect, the physics are refreshingly unique (and open to very cool gravity-defying tricks I've learned over the years), and the wide variety of vehicles to choose from is wonderful. I love using customized vehicles. Only complaints: The music sucks and the cars screaming when they explode gets kind of old. Second most enjoyable would be Battlefield 2; Modern Combat, because the different helicopters were fun and easy to fly. Amusingly, this is also where my interest in helicopters emerged from.
  16. I've been a moderator at a few forums before without any complaints. Plus I'm the administrator of my own forum (derp) and still no complaints. Except for anti-brony/pony members who complain about us talking about the show sometimes, and some complaints on organization (which is to blame my service for), but nothing having to do with how I run things. Here, however, I'd be terrible. The rules here are very different than what I'm use to in some places, and I would not be comfortable enforcing them. Plus I'm not very active here as a member due to time and a billion other projects, which means I wouldn't have time to serve.
  17. I've played far too many for me to build a list from memory. But the most notable are Boom Man and B-Wings for NES. Boom Man was lots of fun and I've won it many times, but I've yet to beat B-Wings. That one is my favorite NES game of all. The music is just epic. I've also played Metal Gear Solid for PS1, but to be honest I didn't really like it that much. I'm more of a Splinter Cell fan.
  18. 70's and 80's (plus a very small amount of 60's and 90's) music is almost all I listen to. This is REAL music! Please allow me to share some of my favorites: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PAAwu4uIWIU Some more: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YralJ4xVjIE Gosh, the posting limits here are really driving me nuts. Is the character and media link limits really all that nessissary?
  19. Well, I've tried submitting this one to EqD but it got rejected. I had a feeling it would beforehand, because there is a fairly 'violent' scene in the chapter "Invasion" in which the Raiders kill quite a few guardsmen in their attack. I wanted to chance it anyway because I find it to be an important scene, and can be overlooked quite easily throughout the rest of the story, even to the even bigger battle I've yet to write towards the end. Besides, I'm sure they are just referring to fics that focus on graphic gore (like a certain story we all know). However, to my surprise, it was rejected for this: Thank you for the submission, but due to consistent grammar and punctuation errors, we are not interested in posting this story. Issues include (but are not limited to) incorrect dialogue punctuation, improper capitalization, and show vs tell. You also have a tendency to overuse adverbs which, while not incorrect, could stand to be toned down. Feel free to resubmit once this piece has been edited sufficiently.
  20. I like how popular my little "experiment" in mixing a Riggs song with the Last Roundup chase scene is getting. Anyway, I find this to be just a huge coincedence. Either way "hate" would be too strong of a word to describe it. I think Thunder Bolt's comment is the most plausible to explain this little theory. For example, I relate very strongly with Twilight, in that books and my computer are pretty much the majority of my life, and making friends has always been a minor concern to me. But I do have friends outside the internet. Why don't we hang out unless we're at school or work on my movie project? Because of me. I'm just not the "hanging out" type yet. But that doesn't mean I have any less friends, or that my friends have any less respect for me (let alone to the extent of hating me).
  21. Why this of all songs from the past, I honestly don't know. Sure, some parts of it fit me personally, but the rest doesn't. But it sounds great, and for some reason I get really emotional when I hear it. Like a close to home kind of feeling. Hard to explain.
  22. Yes! Makes sense if you think about it... this crew's fate is not too different from the original Nostromo crew. Helicopters are indeed a passion, and I'm currently writing volume one of a series of books on Russian rotorcraft. However, I consider it more of a side interest. I'm focusing more towards screenwriting and film-making. -- BTW, have a teaser trailer for my current project: http-~~-//www.youtube.com/watch?v=YZBXFfPU64U -- Drew this in math class today: http://fc08.devianta..._24-d5g5i2e.png Trying to fit Blaine in the cockpit mockup of it is going to be fun since this thing is so small.
  23. Thanks for all the awsome replies and feedback! I think I have found my inspiration to do more fanart soon. Funny story about the drawing with the airship... The whole "weather experiment" idea was inspired from the B-movie "Storm Trackers", hence the experimental electronic weather-manipulating device. However, I wanted it to fit the ponyverse so I had it hanging from the airship instead of being deployed from a plane. The airship design itself was thought up right on the spot. However, the following week I find out from browsing the Secret Projects forum that in 1977, Aerospatiale had proposed a strikingly similar design called the "Helicostat", basically a compound airship-helicopter hybrid. Just another occurrence of trying to be original and failing. http://files.activeb...xNniJSWwVeXtfQ= And if you'd like to see more of my art, check out my off-topic art thread here: http://mlpforums.com...-stingrays-art/ -- I forgot to add this to my previous post. This sort of counts, right? This is an alternate cover artwork for my fanfiction "Ray": -- Drawdeded this in math class today: http://fc05.devianta..._24-d5g5i5t.png I see some of the mistakes... but that happens when I don't have a reference to a character I've never drawn before.
