    Yeah. Probably for the best. And I really hope they continue to portray Spike in this manner more often in this season. Scrappy Doo... This is where I hope the whole Flurry Heart thing is a one-time event. Her magic fluctuations getting under control hints at this. The whole alicorn birth tells us that this will likely be revisited to expand upon the show's lore but whether or not she will have any more involvement in that is anyone's guess. Although with Sunburst being the Crystaller -- whatever that really entails... If the point of this episode was about showing the importance of the Crystal Heart then Flurry Heart really did show us why it's so important by destroying it and force everyone to fix it. The episode also hints that Starlight and Sunburst will be relevant in this season. Why exactly remains unanswered at this point.

    It was kinda like Twilight suddenly not flying so well in the S4 premiere with Starlight's character. The S5 finale depicted her as "she lived happily ever after" to suddenly being repressed and not confident in herself because of her misdeeds. It raises more questions than it answers between S5 and S6 Starlight. Loved the dynamic between Starlight and Spike. There was much better chemistry between those two than between Starlight and Sunburst. Speaking of Spike, it's good not to see him as the #1 assistant again as opposed to just being the buttmonkey. The reason I'm not all that phased by Flurry Heart is how unfamiliar I am with the trope she represents so much. Given how it's all taken care of, it'll hopefully just be a one-time thing. What really made the premiere for me was the resolution.

    Here's something creepier: Spike x (S5) Starlight Glimmer And how considerate of you to write "child Spike" instead of just Spike. The shipping fan art depicting him clearly as a grown-up are all fine.

    Perhaps she could offer some suggestions or concepts and let the writing team figure out what they can work with. Although since Ms. Zacherlie isn't part of DHX or Hasbro, that could bring up legal issues.

    For starters, I'm talking about both legal immigration and the illegal kind. There's something funny I've seen in my own country... While my country shall remain undisclosed, I will say that we used to have a lot more immigrants -- both legal and illegal -- up until recently. These immigrants were mostly Colombians and Venezuelans. What happened? Why is it many of them left? Not long ago, Colombia's economy has started to improve. Ever since then, we've been seeing less and less Colombians. More recently was the election for Venezuela's congress where the opposition party under Henrique Capriles won the majority seats. Things seem to be looking up for Venezuela and even here, we started seeing less and less Venezuelans. Seeing a pattern? In the face of improving economies of countries which your immigrants are from, it becomes likely that they will simply return to their home country. More illicitly, Latinos in the illegal drug trade may come here as a stepping stone to get themselves and their drugs to Europe. If Europe can devalue illegal drugs through legalization and turn to harm reduction as a replacement for policing drugs and for us to do the same, there'd be even less incentive to migrate here with fell intentions. In conclusion, you're better off improving the quality of life in the countries the immigrants come from. Building walls and hunting immigrants down like animals just isn't effective because when people get desperate, not only will they find a way around anti-immigration measures but even if they don't, they'll simply be persistent. There's also the aspect of walls and hunting down foreigners like animals being inhumane but nobody really cares about being humane, it would seem.

    Think of it this way: anthro is really just another variation of fan art in the whole mix of fan art. Nothing wrong with variation in art, right?

    Yeah, probably Applejack. Fluttershy, Rarity and Pinkie Pie would be OK parents. Twilight needs to learn to control her stress and Rainbow Dash... ehhh... Rarity in the Dutch Dubbed MLP sounds like a MIL-- I mean she sounds like she could already be a mom >.>

    Despite all appearances, Sunburn doesn't really act much like me. Overall, he is confident enough when interacting with equines. He's also confident enough that his resourcefulness will get him out of a sticky situation or avoid one altogether. Erythema on the other hand has issues with confidence when it comes to interacting with equines other than her brother but she's very confident when it comes to doing her job as a firefighter (though that is never reflected through words but rather through her actions in how she moves without a lick of hesitation).

    Hah. How right I was to hold the salt. The new Starlight will take some getting used to. It's just a little hard to see this new Starlight as the same mare who almost doomed Equestria out of spite. So far, she just comes across as suppressed and distrustful of herself which does make sense. Be that as it may, it's still a little jarring to see her so... different. As for everything else, the flow of the episode was nice and smooth and did well to ease me into the episode, the conflicts, multiple as they were, didn't detract from one another with the best about the episode being its resolution. Oh and... OMG, Twi's parents got lines! Finally! Something else on that. Did you know that they have the same voice actors as their foals?

    If we only limit it to OCs I've RPed as (all MLP OCs), that'd be just four; two donkeys and two Changelings. That would include Sunburn, Erythema, Melanoma and Hypo. I'm picturing Sunburn and Melanoma having a candid conversation together while Erythema stares Hypo down in a threatening way with one ear pointing to the other two. Poor Hypo would be cowering. As for non-MLP OCs, way too many to keep track of. A good chunk of these OCs don't even belong to any established franchises (that or they used to). Things will not end well since some of them are bad guys if not just down-right insane. It's going to turn into a magical brawl with the powerful good OCs against the powerful evil OCs with all the others needing to make a quick get-away if they want to escape with their lives.

    Normally, I see the episode either as it airs, the day it airs or the day after and that's how it's been with every episode since I got into this in Q3 2011. Heck, I've also seen S1 and half of S2 in the Latino Dub. Right now, I'm stoked for S6 and it's very unlikely that I'll stop watching the season 6 episodes before the season's end. Maybe if a new season aired once every two years, for example, might MLP afford to follow a more rigid path but because we're getting a lot of episodes, concepts can grow stale quickly. That's why the show has to do new things and explore as much as it can. Because we're not starved for the volume of content, novelty will continue to be in high demand.
