  1. Hmm.... alcohol? Oh, and these guys always make me a happy camper:
  2. Well, I watched the old 80s ponies as a small child, and I watched it like I would any other cartoon. As for gen 4, I started hearing about during its first season, and I was like, "Lauren Faust made this? Well, Powerpuff Girls is the best thing ever, so let's give it a shot". It turned out to be the best flash animation I'd ever seen, and overall a better cartoon than anything else on at that point. The 00s was a desolate wasteland of animation, so I watched on with curiosity and fascination. ...Although the first time I searched for 'new mlp', I accidentally found some sleepover episode from season 3 or whatever, and I couldn't believe people actually liked that stuff. It was a few days later that I found some pictures of the show and went on a new search.
  3. I used to have a crappy Ford from the 80s, but now that I live in the city and everything's within walking distance, I don't need a car.
  4. Because smiles are contagious! But mostly, I just needed something high-contrast and eye-catching, and I only have so many finished pieces to choose from.
  5. I took a gap year, but not willingly. I went to something called the International Baccalaureate, ended up with too few points in drama, and had to wait an entire year until I was allowed to resubmit my final paper for drama class. It was a miserable year, all told, although not quite as bad as actually going to college turned out to be. Make your own choices, kids, don't let your parents decide your schools for you.
  6. Oooh, if only. I have three screens, and the colours on each one are messed up in their own unique ways. The drawing tablet has the most messed up colours of all, so I'm always in for a surprise when I save a picture and check it out on my main screen.
  7. I have a variety. Personal favourite, though, front and center on this picture: Power Trip, a unicorn sorcerer as powerful as he is obnoxiously cocksure and optimistic.
  8. Yes, but those aren't really comparable. The new wave of pony fans were people who got into a quality cartoon, while the old fans were toy collectors. They're not really the same fandom in any way that matters. Completely different interests. I do feel the pain, though. Twist was never seen again after season one...
  9. I built mine back in 2013, for about $900. I was looking into getting a new one, but nothing really seems worth the price anymore, and the old one still works, so what the heck.
  10. I seem to recall Dr.Wolf saying he wouldn't sue them, regardless.
  11. All these kids asking for remakes of games that are only a few years old. Why, back in my day we played all our video games uphill, in the snow, both ways! I want these games back: Future Cop: Strange with elements of 3rd person action, base building, wave-spawning and tower defence. Truly ahead of its time, if somewhat unwieldy. Biosys: Survival game involving controlling the weather in several different biomes. Would be a perfect game for some indie studio to rip off and make their own variant. Metal Fatigue: RTS featuring giant battle robots with swappable parts, including the ability to tear your opponents' arms off and stick them on your own robots. What I wouldn't give to see a remake with a unit cap, functional pathfinding, and an AI that doesn't need to wear a helmet just to walk around.
  12. Hah hah, maybe Hasbro will start their own streaming service, to compete with Disney and all the others...
  13. Wow. I remember reading through this comic fifteen years ago. It was agonizingly long even then - I can't believe it's still going.
  14. Bird hit my half-open window a couple of years back and landed on the sill. I gave it a few minutes to try and get back out, but it couldn't, so I grabbed a paper towel, picked up and chucked it back out the window. It flew away happy as you please, but not before taking a crap on the windowsill.
  15. Flim and Flam's numbers are always great, but my absolute favourite has to be "Your Heart is in Two Places".
  16. I bought a $1000 Cintiq tablet, and could never get it to work properly. I ended up getting fed up, selling the tablet for peanuts and getting another $1000 tablet from a different company. And just the other day, I bought 4 pounds of frozen salmon and left it out overnight.
  17. Well, the 90s gave us Darkwing Duck, Animaniacs and all the good Heroes of Might and Magic games. Didn't give us high speed internet access, though.
  18. My god. I remember this show running twenty years ago. Always thought it was pretty lame, to tell you the truth. I guess no show can survive forever without characters drifting away from what they were.
  19. Hah hah, well, I made my forum account in 2011. Feels like a lifetime ago, and at the same time, it feels like yesterday. I think I posted 2-3 times on these forums in total, up until just the other day, when I decided to make a comeback.
  20. This is how it always works. Not too long ago, 'idiot' was a clinical term. 'Retarded' as well, among many others. It is a continuous process of authorities inventing new words as the old ones become slurs. From what I've read, even 'shit' was originally invented German immigrants as a euphemism for 'Scheiße'.
  21. She's an awful person, and that makes her a great character. Her incredible selfishness is contrasted with her ability to put up with the likes of Trixie, and although her powers seem inconsistent to me, I still think she improves the show.
  22. They're probably off sipping champagne somewhere.
