I don't have dreams all that often, and there's only two I remember. The first is from when I was maybe six or seven. In it, I was in a department store, in the clothing section. At the far corner was an entrance that led to the elevators. Where I was, not far from the elevators, there was a cave dug into the wall, maybe ten, fifteen metres deep, pretty wide. Real stony walls too, not like concrete. Being a cave, there were cave paintings on the wall, which were being painted by my mum, who had paint cans scattered around. The paint that had dripped from the brush and tins all sorta... Pulled itself together into this hulking paint monster... troll... thing. It grabbed my mum and carried her away screaming around the corner to the elevators. I chased after it and rounded the corner but there was nothing. Just people acting normal, using the elevators. The last thing I felt before I woke up was utter helplessness. Needless to say I barely left my mum for the next few days. The other one was just a few months ago. A bit more abstract. It's night time and me and my dad pull into a restaurant's car park. It's pretty big for the small restaurant, only a few cars parked around, no traffic about, and the whole place is lit by a couple lamp posts and surrounded by trees. We go into the restaurant and take a seat in the back at a small table. The inside is quite nicely decorated - old fashioned pub style. I'm looking around at the walls, noticing the frilly lampshades on the wall, and as I turn back to my dad, everything's suddenly dark, like all the lights had gone out. Which they had. But my dad was gone too, and so was all the general hubbub of the restaurant. I walked outside the back of the building into the car park. All the street lights had gone out, and all the cars had disappeared. The only thing around was this... ball of light, in the middle of the car park. I started walking towards it, and noticed this tendril of shadow reaching for it too. So I started to run, to reach the light before the shadow. It was a long run, but I lunged for the ball, before the tendril could grab it, and was instantly back in the restaurant, lights on, general hubbub back to normal, and my dad asking me if I was alright. Yeah... couple of unusual dreams. A friend of mine says he can control his dreams - can anyone here control their dreams? Seems like that would be an amazing thing to be able to do, though I'd never want to wake up

The Dumb Things We Believed As Children!
Aberyst replied to CinemaBrony's topic in General Discussion
Confound my terrible memory. There's only a few I remember now... -Eating crusts made your hair curly -The 'Daddies' brand of sauce was actually made by my dad -My sister was swapped out at birth because she was ginger Seriously, that last one, I don't even know where I got that idea. Might have been a dream I had once or something. ... I still have my suspicions -__- -

Should the series end with the mane 6 growing old
Aberyst replied to TheMarkz0ne's topic in MLP:FiM Canon Discussion
I agree it would be sad and depressing to see our favourite ponies not as they once were, but it would have a good sense of finality to it, like "They've had their adventures, they've learned their many lessons, now they grow old together and live out the rest of their days". There could be some sense of their earning or building a stronger attachment to their respective Elements too, as they've proven themselves over time. Sad, but all good things must come to an end :c -
mega thread Song Stuck in your Head Right Now
Aberyst replied to Blue Moon's topic in Media Discussion
So. Catchy. Love. Samples. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XlJTTZc6iKM The song stuck in my head changes every few minutes it seems - quite drastically. Before the above one I had bouncing around. Both have a catchy melody I suppose -
A very good birthday to you.

I never had the privilege to own/use anything pre PlayStation 1 :c I generally don't like the playstation controllers because of the shape - they're not really... Hand grip shaped. And the analogue sticks aren't concave, so I find myself having to adjust my thumbs as they slide off. Mouse and keyboard aside, I'd have to go with the original Xbox controller: just the right shape/size for hands, buttons in all the right places, natural feeling triggers, concave sticks - perfect c:

Ohh... The day my mum, step-dad, sister and her boyfriend found out (a couple months ago)... Man, I never thought I'd have the **** taken out of me so much - BY MY OWN FAMILY. I didn't say anything, just smiled and corrected their jabs, though it became apparent during dinner that my mum had completely underestimated what bronies were: "How many of you are there then? Four? Five?" "Wellll, the last estimate put it between Seven and Twelve million" She spat her food out and shouted "WHAT!?". Made me laugh xD . Apparently she thought it was just a group of us in the town. As for their opinion now - eh, I suppose indifferent to light-heartedly positive. Few pokes every now and then but they don't really mention it. My mum did joke about buying me pony toys for my birthday though... I shoulda suggested a t-shirt, or B.U.C.K tickets, I'd like that

Don't worry, it's not something that should be seen as outright scary. Targeted ads is more an annoyance than anything. I mean, one time, I got bored and started googling "body pillows" and having a right chuckle. Amusing stuff. Next two months - body pillow adverts everywhere Adblock all the bloomin way. The fact that numerous companies can see your data (address etc) also isn't something that should worry anyone too much (It shouldn't worry people, but at the same time I don't think it's a practice that should be encouraged). If the data these companies control were somehow hacked and released... What good is that to anyone? Anyone can go to some random house - a bunch of people on the internet having your address doesn't mean anything. As for your searches being brought back to haunt you, I'd imagine that would only be a problem if you were searching for... unspeakable things. One extra thing you can do on Firefox/Chrome to kick out the ad tracking companies is to get disconnect ( http://disconnect.me ) which prevents your data being sent to a bunch of third parties and saves bandwidth, meaning faster page loads!

The main theory I've heard for time travel is this example: Say you have a perfectly straight train track that goes around the earth, and a train that can reach near the speed of light. When at near-light speed, what would happen if one of the passengers were to run down the carriage in the direction of travel? Theoretically, time would slow down, so as not to allow the speed of light to be exceeded. Time would pass slower on the train and its passengers. ...I Dunno... can't see light speed trains happening anytime soon. And there was a rather intense debate a few weeks ago between our physics class about time travel, when someone, in their contemplative whimsy, brought up the question: "Is sleeping technically time travel?" For hours we all argued back and forth. He was the only one claiming it was, when people were arguing against it saying, the period between falling asleep and waking up, CANNOT be time travel because your body can be affected in that time - you could bump your head in your sleep. With time travel, you wouldn't expect to be affected physically in any way between time-point A and time-point B. He insisted that it was technically time travel because your mind isn't perceiving the time between point A and point B in a linear fashion. We were all

Of the two, I'd choose Google, though I actually use DuckDuckGo because... ... I don't know why. Just sleek and unintrusive I suppose. As for the search engine war: I think Yahoo is out of the running, Ask Jeeves... Who even uses Ask Jeeves? Microsoft has a funny Google slander site http://www.scroogled.com/ "GOOWGLE R SPIEYS" "SET BING AS HOMEPAGE" OR ELSSE plox Yeah. Bing just feels desperate.

How famous do you think you are on the forums?
Aberyst replied to ~Starlight~'s topic in General Discussion
Not at all! 0/10! I don't really have the time to post a lot, either here or anywhere else, but exams are almost over x_x Also I find that I'm generally not a... posty... kinda person. Don't know why. Maybe I have some paranoia that I'll say the wrong thing or something. Besides, I like being a delicious muffin o3o- 776 replies

Inconveniently enough, I love electro Despite that, I've found a few less/non electro songs and artists that I enjoy, so to name a few: Hirosashii - he does some light electro with vocals. 's a good songLe Soldat Pony makes nice chill acoustic music. Be Cool is pretty nice. Replacer's music is kind of a blend of light electro and vocals and is a good song of his.I'm so slow at adding links, so I'll leave it at this for now Xp
