  1. Yeah, I've heard there's basically nothing Metal Gear about it. It could literally be called anything else. I never had any particular interest in it. Rising was the last game I actually liked in the series.
  2. I see you still play everything Metal Gear day in and day out.
  3. I'm finally gonna get around to watching this series soon. I've seen random episodes here and there as well as one of the movies but a lot of it was a bit hard to follow without seeing everything before for context.
  4. It wasn't until the 2000s that the ESRB really got a handle on how to rate games. Games like Legend of Dragoon probably should have gotten a T rating but somehow ended up with E. I believe there was also a time when M didn't even exist. At least in the US.
  5. There's gonna be some sort of announcement about the Medievil remake on Halloween. I can't wait. I was afraid they were gonna cancel it after the last year of no news whatsoever and PSX being cancelled this year.

If you wanted to play the full original and have a PS3, PSP or PS Vita the original game is available on Playstation Network.

  6. Cream Soda is the only answer. I can't drink soda much anymore. Carbonation hurts my throat after only a few drinks. Sometimes I forego that for the deliciousness that is Cream Soda. Root Beer once in a blue moon.
  7. I don't see why not. It's still text-based storytelling.
  8. Typing up long posts on a phone is ridiculously tedious. Better than not having access to the the internet at all when I'm not at home though.

I hear ya! My phone has a stylus but I still don't like typing on it.

Lucky. I fat-finger shit all the time. I suppose I could try to get one that's work on my phone but that would slow down my typing to an intolerable level.

  9. It might be a bit cheesy but definitely gotta go with Player One by Machinae Supremacy I've played video games my whole life and it would be accurate to say that I live to play them. Everything is a means to an end so I can get back to my games and obtain more.
  10. I noticed this just a little bit ago. Is it an actual rank or just a thing for Halloween time?
  11. Oh me of the past, you are so silly to have forgotten Geist. Such a unique experience. That one definitely goes right up there.
  12. My brother has been trying to get me to watch School Rumble for years so I finally started watching it. I'm about half done with season 2 and it has been a crazy ride unlike any other. Not even Pani Poni Dash and all its visual jokes that required me to pause to see them all could quite match School Rumble. If only because School Rumble has something of a plot rather than shotgun humor everywhere.
  13. I've never quite understood the fear of clowns. I understand where it stems from, all the movies that portray them as demons, aliens or serial killers and such, but I've always seen clowns as the extravagant and quirky performers they were in the past. A master of silliness and acrobatic feats. To some just having clown-like makeup on activates that fear regardless of how the clown may be acting and that's always seemed a bit odd to me.
  14. That was my other thought. I enjoyed Ninja Storm 2 but it likewise had the same problem of getting too repetitive eventually. Not quite as quickly as Raging Blast though. I suppose I should actually catch up on My Hero Academia before I think about getting the game though. I've only seen the first season so far. I'm betting the game goes through at least season 2.
  15. I've been thinking of maybe getting this one but it looks a lot like Dragon Ball Z: Raging Blast which got really old way too fast. It was fun to play until it suddenly wasn't and then I couldn't stand to touch it even though I had barely touched any of the actual story. I had spent all my time on other modes that ended up being too grindy and repetitive. That's quitter talk. Play with your toes!
  16. Random thread revival incoming. Hopefully this topic stays a bit more active this time around. I still read webcomics every single day. Can't go a day without checking updates if nothing else but I'm always reading through the archives of one too. I just recently got caught up with Gunnerkrigg Court and holy shit the last few chapters with Loup have been utter insanity. It's amazing. I always appreciate the comic's balance of unreal situations put in a way that makes it almost seem sensible. I'm also just about to finish reading StarWarriors, a comic about a group that helps grant the wishes of all living things but so far focuses on one particular Warrior who has to come to terms with the fact that she has to help make her killer's wish come true. Beautiful premise though.
  17. My friend got me into Warhammer 40k a couple years ago so it's all I've been reading lately. Right now finishing up the first Caiphus Cain omnibus. For a comedy series it has some deep characters who you grow pretty attached to. Next up I'll be reading Helsreach which also comes at high recommendation.
  18. I haven't worried much about what I'm wearing for a long time. I wear a uniform at work and a thick sweater when I leave the house. I used to enjoy flannel shirts though. Also work boots. Can't stand short or light-feeling shoes. But that's just for me. Don't have much of an opinion on other people's fashions.
  19. I don't play video games to relax really but sometimes when I'm sick I'll play something that requires little thought or easy to just go through the motions of playing. Last time it was Plants vs Zombies.
  20. While I've been enjoying Labyrinth of Refrain the last few weeks it ultimately is just holding me over until Spyro. I knew when I replayed the original trilogy back in March that they would announce this remake just to spite me but dammit if I won't do it all over again. It'll take some getting used to Elora's new design but everything else looks super fantastic.
  21. I just finished up Stella Glow. I tend to suck at any sort of strategy games but sometimes I run across one like this that's just the right difficulty for me. All of the characters were a lot of fun. Every party member gets their own ending but I wasn't about to sit through the credits fourteen times to see them all so i just Youtubed the ones I hadn't seen. I was actually surprised at some of the endings. Not often the main character actually marries someone in games like this. Usually you get some variation of "in a relationship, maybe, but life goes on". The music in the game is fantastic. It better be considering music has both story and gameplay relevance. Lots of j-pop variations of other genres from rock to polka but also regular video game adventure or battle music to fill in the blanks. Absolutely a quality experience.
  22. It's been a long time since I was last on the forums and I can't remember the rule on this nor find an answer quickly. I was looking at a long dead topic for webcomics and wondering if I should post in it and get it up front again or just start a fresh topic.
  23. I just bought the new Disturbed album, Evolution, and Children of Bodom's Hatebreeder album. Normally I just listen to things on Pandora but sometimes I like things enough to not want to rely on random to get to songs I want to listen to.
  24. Holy guacamole it's been forever since I came back here. I'm bored lately and gonna catch up on MLP soon so thought I'd pop in for awhile. How you doin', MLPForums?

It's good to be back. I needed to rejoin a forum for awhile so I figured go with the one with the friendliest people. I've mostly been hermitting away lately.

  25. I've been waiting on a new Wild Arms for many years. The creators have kind of given a few wink wink nudge nudge statements that make it sound like it could be a thing and they are definitely aware of fans wanting it still. The last one came out in 2006 on PSP (not counting Wild Arms 1 being released on phones earlier this year.) Great game as it was I'd very much like a new entry. I also would like to see some games come to new systems even in an emulated version if nothing else. Games like Fear Factor, Galerians, Legend of Legaia, etc. I'd be okay with a Medievil 3 as well.
