  1. What seems to be the problem here, Lady Rarity, is that you have a massive hateboner for anything Japanese related. (And it shows in your posts) I realize you don't agree with their viewpoints on things but a lot of what makes anime...anime is that it's based on a culture that is entirely different from most others around the world. You may not agree with the views of it or how they make things (such as the constant perviness of teen male characters and such) but that's how their society is, or at least how they view the typical male teenager. Most anime, particularly ones based around Modern Japan, will have stereotypical characters and stories but it's what they do with it that makes each one different. Some do it better than others. Azumanga Daioh is an anime about an almost entirely female cast yet there's little perviness in it at all. There's a couple of characters and lines that border on that but the anime itself has little to do with fanservice at all. You've stated that you have only seen the crappy anime and we've seen the good ones, well then if that's the case why don't you try watching the good ones? You won't always agree, as is the case with anything else, but at least you'll have given it a shot. I can name at least five different anime that have little to no fanservice whatsoever for you if that's what really bothers you about most anime. Remember that you don't always have to agree with the viewpoints of anime since they are from different cultures but that doesn't make them inherently bad by nature. Like I told you before: There is an anime for everyone, you aren't the only one that doesn't care for the pervy side of anime. Some can't stand to see "loli" characters because they know they were put in the anime for the sole purpose of fanservice and this convinces some that the creators are pedos (of course that's not necessarily the case as there's a difference between loli and children) Just like any other show, regardless of the region it came from, there will be points you like about it and points you don't like about it. Try giving more anime a shot. If you know an anime is going to be something you won't like because it's all pervy fanservice then you don't have to watch it but not all anime is like that. Note: Attractive/hot characters in an anime does not automatically make it a pervy anime at all. These characters are there because people like to see attractive characters in the things they watch but they aren't necessarily going to have any sort of fanservice at all. Some do, some don't. And note that an entire anime isn't bad if the creators do take one episode just for fanservice, you don't have to watch or like that one episode but that doesn't make the rest of the series bad just because that episode is a part of it. This is probably a little redundant but remember that the world is not black and white. This pertains to life itself as well as entertainment (i.e. anime or even MLP) Also, it's one thing to have an opinion and say "I don't like anime" and give reasons, but a totally different thing to specifically quote every post that mentions the Japanese or anime and give something negative about it like "Anime-ified MLP would ruin the show" or saying that because it's made by Japanese that makes it less appealing. It comes across as a hate-train rather than just having an opinion.
  2. I'm a night owl too, Finest, but there's more to think about than just the time you are working. Night has different priorities than day time, the people are different.
  3. I tried to read X/1999 but couldn't get into it. I love CLAMP series' though. Chobits, Magic Knight Rayearth, Tsubasa and xxxHolic are some faves. I haven't read MKR in forever. I hear the anime is completely different though. Also, thinking back I also read the Escaflowne series and watched the anime around the same time I saw MKR.
  4. Arby's makes some decent Reubens but they are nothing compared to my aunt's homemade ones. Psh, getting sick is no reason to stop eating something. I tend to have the runs when I eat Fish-O-Filets from McDonalds but I still eat them because I absolutely adore the taste. I just wish they weren't so expensive...
  5. Viable, but at the same time she was trying to reason with the ponies the whole time while Rainbow was trying to reason with the Buffalo.
  6. If it is I haven't noticed it any other place. Suppose next time I watch I'll have to keep an eye out.
  7. Consistency, mah boy! It was just something I noticed is all.
  8. In the episode Over The Barrel Twilight says "anybody" instead of "anypony" when the Appleloosins are preparing for war against the Buffalo. D:
  9. <.< People at night are a tad unfriendly. I honestly would like working with the day side people again, the dude who works with days is awesome.
  10. Wal Mart, overnight stocking of freezers and dairy Though apparently now they are switching me to days for the time being saying they need me there more. Can't imagine why...I'm the new guy who is like five times slower than everyone in the entire store. <.<
  11. I had no problem with working that shift. That is more like a day shift because most of it is during the same day. Me? I work 10PM to 7AM. Think about how much that throws me off. LOL I'm normally a night person anyway but the fact that I'm working such weird hours feels weird.
  12. Normally you would work a shift, go home and sleep and then your next shift starts the next day but my shift starts at the end of the day and ends at the beginning of the next so saying "I'll see you tomorrow" is really "I'll see you later today" and it just...feels so weird compared to working days. LOL
  13. <.< There should be an "easy mode" where the 3 Days are non-existent. Sorry, the 3 days really irked me when I played it.
  14. When I played MM on N64 I couldn't get into it for the sole purpose that I could never find the Snow Temple (plus the cart was used and always froze after playing for ten to twenty minutes) and the three day thing, even when extended thanks to the Song of Time, always loomed over me and made me feel rushed as hell. I'll try to get it again to see if I can get into it but when I was younger I didn't particularly like it.
  15. I don't remember if I posted in this topic or not but in case I didn't Imma say it again: There is no better food than Applebee's Buffalo Chicken and McDonalds Oh and my mom's stroganoff.
  16. I like it for that reason too, plus I really feel that the story in TP is the best in the series. Though the game dies off about halfway through (after Midna's Midnight Run, as I like to call it) it still has an amazing story and fantastic locales.
  17. I'm not one of the people who's like "Omg, OoT is the best evarrrr" though I do like it. I feel it's highly overrated and it's half the reason TP was criticized so much. TP has been accused so much of being an OoT clone (how anyone came up with this I'll never even know) that no one takes it seriously as a Zelda game.
  18. I'm going to start by wishing I still had my Minish Cap and ALttP GBA carts. One was lost and one was stolen years ago. I'll also say this: TP is my favorite Zelda so far but if what I hear is true SS will certainly be a good one.
  19. Personally, I believe that you are never too old to enjoy kid's stuff. My mom, 47 years old, still watches kids shows daily. I do the same too. I don't understand the thinking "it's for kids and you shouldn't like it" since I've always felt that you can never be too old for anything, though you can certainly be too young for some things. But let me add that I also believe it's not a good thing to not be childish at all no matter your age. If you are trying to be a hardass your entire life you aren't gonna get nearly as much enjoyment out of life as someone who embraces the joys of having the heart of a child and the mind of an adult.
  20. Man, the days have been rather dark the last week. Maybe because it's becoming winter but you can look outside and it seems brighter inside than it does outside! LOL

  21. Super Effective was...super effective.
  22. I always love movies that break out into random song, especially for random reasons like Tangled in the Cuddly Duckling Tavern. Sometimes situational music is okay like the love song near the end of Tangled but I usually prefer when they are just random.
  23. I haven't seen FD4 and I hear there's a fifth coming out. The fifth one sounds like it'll have an interesting story though.
