Discordian

This one is obviously just because I like Discord but I didn't wanna just pick a boring ol' "Discord" so I changed it up a bit. Thinking about it, Discordian just flowed across my tongue the easiest so I went with that. I tried to find Discord with an accordion for my avatar but to no avail. On other forums I'm either: Res5 or Resulli The origins of this are a little deeper. When I joined Gamefaqs (Res5) I had a character in a story/imaginary roleplay for many years named Resulli. He had gone through many transformations in the roleplay and I was on the fifth version of him at the time. Since then I've used Resulli in everything else.

I've always liked the Killswitch Engage version far more. Dio's just sounds so boring and slow compared to KSE's

Interesting indeed. If the theory is correct and we can benefit from it then I'd say I want it to happen now. Then again, if it keeps the night sky lit up that could be a little bit of a problem for night time wildlife, don't you think?

<.< Oh I know how that is. My friend skips to all the scenes with Jacob Black in Twilight movies because she doesn't wanna see Edward. Doesn't help that the DVDs have a feature where they skip every scene but the ones with either Jacob or Edward in it. Here I am trying to watch them to see if I would hold any interest and she does that... Luckily I got her to sit through each movie at least once. Imma check out the books now that I know there's a little more to them than just the romance.

Oh that's one thing that really gets to me. People who walk away from a movie without pausing it. lol

lol Horror and Comedy are some of the worst ones to look away from. You gotta be submersed to get into horror and in comedy you could miss an unspoken punchline because they can happen in a second. All it takes is one second of looking away to miss something good and then people look back and say "it was boring" because they missed the good parts.

The first Red Steel is very different from the second one. It's sword mechanics suck a lot of the time but it has great levels. RS2 focused more on the sword aspect which is probably one of the main reasons people liked it more. People wanted what RS2 gave them in RS1 but since they didn't they hated the game.

People who look away from movies. I know people can multitask and all but what's the point of watching a movie if you aren't gonna watch it? Every detail is important, every camera angle, every facial expression. You could listen all you want but if they give a visual cue to something happening you'll never know if you aren't watching. I know people who turn their backs on a movie and say "Oh I'm watching!" but they aren't. And then they missed something that was really quiet and were like "What happened?" <.< Annoys me to see people want to watch a movie and then intentionally look away saying they are still watching. You sat down to watch the movie, why would you then look away and not watch the movie? This applies to TV shows as well. If you are one of these types of people, know that I don't mean any offense. I just don't get why you do it.

Playin' Red Steel. I don't care how much people hated this game, it's fun to me. I would go so far as to say it's equal to Red Steel 2 but for entirely different reasons.

lol Sorry, I have tried playing that game at least 3 times now. Not once have I beaten it but every time I've gotten to the end of the game and stopped caring. It's gameplay is about the only thing that keeps me coming back to it since I do believe it has one of the best battle systems of the FF series what with all the Budokai and Blitz stuff. Second only to FFX-2's battle system imo.

Ah, so Azumanga Daioh and Lucky Star would be examples of Slice-of-life. Thanks! And I agree Apple Bloom, there's far more to anime than it's animation. It's like anything else really, just most anime don't focus on the animation.

A lot of anime does the whole still shots with moving backgrounds kind of stuff like Pokemon or using the same animation over and over again but keep in mind animation isn't everything. There are many other contributing factors to anime. Some anime have amazing animations that will blow you away because they don't rely on still images and actually do full animations of everything. Body movement, scenery movement, everything. Yes, I probably am trying too hard to get you to find some anime you like. But as a great anime lover I truly do believe what I said in the other thread: There's an anime for everyone. You just gotta find what you like.

There's an anime for everyone, remember that. Even the most hate-filled hater of anime can find at least one anime they like. I'd say to give several a shot, many anime have so many different artstyles, different types of stories, different everything. You don't like the most popular? That's okay, try the more obscure. Record of Lodoss War is based on Dungeons and Dragons so it's slightly more westernized. It's also rather short, only 13 episodes in the original series. I would say to give that one a shot.

Can anyone tell me what "slice-of-life" even means? I have no idea. But I absolutely love Azumanga Daioh. Read the entire manga at least three times and seen the anime twice. Only other manga I've read more than once are Jing: King of Bandits (Which I have an itch to read it again) and Love Hina. Never seen either anime though except one DVD of each. I have the Seventh Heaven episodes of Jing and I've seen the Summer Movie for Love Hina.

I didn't know ActRaiser was an obscure game. It's so amazing I would have figured it was a higher rated game like Donkey Kong. I tried to play ActRaiser 2 a couple of times but something about it just seems so different. Plus it's a lot harder in the Acts. But yes, a remake would be amazing. If there was ever an award for badass of the decade the Deity from ActRaiser would definitely be a top contestant for it's time. The silent hero who destroys all evil. What's more is he has such a fantastic fighting position. I can't get over his stance and the way he attacks. It controls well and looks so cool, like he could take on anything.

I can't get it at the moment, I don't get paid until next Friday and even then that paycheck is already spent on other games. It could be a month or more until I can even get Skyrim.

D: Jealousy. I wish I could meet an English VA. Especially if it's Crispin Freeman. <3

I have never found anything useful in Oblivion's dungeons. lol It's all salable crap compared to the Armor of the Crusader and Dark Brotherhood armor plus a Blades Katana and Elfin Bow. I haven't changed my equipment in forever because of this stuff. Though I do use the Kvatch Tunic a lot to raise my Strength permanently so I rarely, if ever, take that off and I don't feel like going through the pilgramage to be able to equip the Crusader stuff again. xD

Watchin' Avatar for the first time. Love the scenery in this movie. It's story isn't exactly spectacular but combined with the visual appeal of the world and it's still a great movie. Halfway through it right now, have to put in a second disc because it runs across two discs. xD

I'll go with what I find. I'm still thinking the PSP ones will be the easiest to find and obtain.

I think I've tried playing the original Ys before through DOSBox. Didn't get very far though.

Unfortunately I've never played the Ys games. But I've heard quite a bit of music from the games and I absolutely love it. When I get a PSP I'm so getting all the Ys games on it.
