  1. I've only seen the movie for The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe so I honestly don't know if I will or won't like the series. I have this giant book that has all of the entries in it that I can read.
  2. So apparently my ex hasn't seen a lot of great movies even though she's a big movie watcher. She hasn't seen: The Fifth Element Underworld 1 and 2 The Matrix Trilogy Indiana Jones 1, 2 and 3 Die Hard 1-4 She says she doesn't watch action movies much but...how can she know if she likes them or not if she's never actually watched them? Though I should take the Matrix on there cuz we watched those a couple weeks ago but before that she had never seen them. As much of a movie watcher she is, she still hasn't seen the greats. I'm going to remedy that. Within the next few days we are gonna watch Silent Hill. I just watched the movie 1408. Damn that was a good movie and I'm glad it ended the way it did, with him toasting the damn room. The whole time I was like "Don't you dare do what the others did!" And of course, the last thing that happened was priceless. xD
  3. Looks like RE4 is winning across all sites. I'll keep it going until there seems to be no change in the polls.
  4. I'm getting it for PS3 for now but when I get a 360 I plan to get it there too so I can play people online on both consoles. But it's PS3 for now.
  5. I will! Only because I still haven't gotten MvC3 itself yet. <.< I tried to play MvC2 a week ago and I sucked at it, when you aren't warmed up you really suck at that game.
  6. Only Sonic game I haven't beaten yet is Chronicles on DS. Though I technically haven't beaten Sonic Unleashed on PS3 but I have beaten the Wii version. This is of the games I've played, of course, I haven't played all of them. Just quite a few.
  7. I'm almost done with Voyage of Slaves from the Castaways of the Flying Dutchman series. I also learned there's another book in the series before VoS so I'm gonna have to read that sometime. But after I'm done with this book I'm gonna read the two newest Redwall books and then give the Twilight series a shot. I've heard how they are bad to anyone but fangirls but after seeing some of the movies I'm slightly interested in the vampire vs werewolf part of the story. I'll give it a shot, at least. Then I still need to get to reading Narnia, re-reading Dune then reading it's sequels, Inheritance Cycle book 4 came out today so I'll have to get that sometime too. Perhaps I should re-read the rest of the books to refresh my memory.
  8. Star Ocean 3 probably would be better, however I haven't played it in like a year so the details are fuzzy. =P Plus I'm playing SO4 right now and I absolutely love the game so I put it in there.
  9. A dreaded fanfiction. Next word: Mailbox
  10. @_@ Yeah, I've got a long way to go before I even start writing. I've only jotted down a few ideas here and there so far, I really gotta get to working on it more.
  11. Sorry if some people aren't familiar with them. I play video games more than anything so I'm going with what I know best to start off with and these four games I'm most comfortable with the lore of the universes they are in.
  12. I'm considering writing a fanfiction to prove my writing skills but I dunno what to write it for! So here's where I need help. I'm gonna put up a list of things I think I can do a fanfiction for and you'll vote on them. Whatever gets the highest vote gets the writing. But not to worry! If you like it enough I may be inclined to do another one for something else. The options are in the poll! Also give some speculation as to what type of story I should write. What genre, what characters to use (if there's more than a few), etc. Votes will be counted along with the votes of the following forums that I go on: Astute Gamers EnigmaticParadigm Gaming Pyro
  13. Whether people ask me "why" or laugh and insult me because I like ponies I always give them this: The animations are really ****ing beautiful, for one thing, and the voice acting is spot-on. The songs are also great, especially if you like when shows or movies randomly break out into song. Another great thing is the comedy, it's not like the comedy of shows like Flapjack that rely on the grime and gruesome imagery to get you to laugh, it's pure comedy and it reminds me so much of oldschool Looney Tunes comedy in a lot of ways, both from physics and smart-alecky comments. The show also gives me a really warm feeling when watching it because of the fantastic bonds you can feel between the friends of the show. Oh and the facial details are amazing, they are half of what makes the series so likeable because you can just feel the emotions they are trying to convey because of all the facial expressions as well as the body language given. They certainly don't make it a secret that it's fluffy at times and yet they still keep the humor more generalized rather than just focusing on little girls. It also doesn't do what a lot of shows these days do and focus on social stereotypes and norms, they let everyone in the show be who they are with no regard for social "norms" Pinkie Pie and Twilight Sparkle going insane? Try to tell me that's something a little girl's show would normally do. How about dropping an anvil on Twilight's head or having Applejack smash into the ground because she's so damn tired she can't jump onto a catapult properly? Even Rarity who lives in the stereotype of the "it-girl" or "material girl" breaks out of the stereotype frequently. They all have emotions, they all have varying personalities that they constantly break out of for one reason or another and they all have individual lives that aren't cheaply connected. ...More or less, I don't say all of that at one time but whenever I explain it I explain it a bit differently.
  14. A feather hairpin. Why in the world it's in that particularly location beats me but it definitely looks like a feather or a feather hairpin.
  15. I suppose that's why shows like Johnny Test and Total Drama Island look like crap even though they are made in the same way as MLP.
  16. I don't need it to be pinpoint accurate but accurate enough that I can utilize the setting for what I need. I'll have to start my research before I even get anywhere. I need to stop being lazy, first and foremost, and even if I only write or research for half hour to an hour a day I still need to try to do stuff every day. I was told by someone who went through college to be an author that it's best to keep writing every day, even if it's just a little bit here and there, so I don't lose steam. I've been so anxious to start my new job that it's hard to concentrate on that though. But I really gotta try. I aspire to be an author, but there's so many things I don't know and don't know how to learn. I'm still not even 100% sure going to college would help me in the matter. You don't need to go to college to learn how to be a good author but I figure it might help, and yet I'm still not certain. But I suppose I gotta start somewhere.
  17. Anyone can edit it but they don't use false information. If false info is posted then it's immediately removed. Besides, it's not like I can't double check whatever info I get to make sure it's accurate.
  18. When it's the only source of information I have there's not really much choice at all. Besides, they've yet to let me down yet.
  19. I just saw that there is a Star Ocean 3 RP going on in Cloudsdale. Too bad I don't RP very well and don't really do it much at all or I'd be all over that as it's like...my favorite Star Ocean.

    1. Linguz

      Linguz

That, and it's private. Me and Finest.

  20. Isn't Shout! the ones who did the Sonic SatAM complete series? This makes me hopeful for a complete season/series boxset in the future (Assuming MLP ends any time soon) I will watch ponies every night if I have these DVDs. I was just saying a few weeks ago how I'd want a DVD Boxset for this. <3 I just hope the bonus features are a little better than Sonic's were. An interview with Jaleel White is cool and all but it's just not enough.
  21. I like Johnny Test but the animations felt so lacking in quality. I was like "Why do they make cartoons in flash? It sucks compared to regular animation!" Then I watched MLP. MLP proved to me that it's not Flash that makes Johnny Test not as good as it could be...it's the laziness of the animators.
  22. Yeah, Wikipedia was gonna be my second stop after I check out the encyclopedias on my shelf. But thank you! Don't want people to think I'm just being lazy, I just haven't done any amount of research in so long unless it was like a gameplay video or something. @_@
  23. Okay, so I am an amateur writer and I have an idea of something write but I have one problem: I need to do research and don't know where to go. I haven't been in school for years so the research part is a little hazy and I was never good at it in the first place. I need something that'll help me with Holland, particularly early 20th century before the big technology boom. I have encyclopedia's to start with and there's always Wikipedia but I don't know where else to look as I need serious details to make a good setting. I need knowledge! Can't make a good book in a good setting with no knowledge of the setting itself and the time period. So any of you students out there (I know there are some) who are good at finding research material can you please help? Book series, websites, etc. Anything of the sort will help. I live in the US and only speak English so anything like a history textbook from Holland or something like that wouldn't work very well but something international or can be found specifically in a US library would help.
