  1. Does anyone have a decent last name for a sort of sinister fictional royal family?

    1. Thunderchild

      How about Grunt-Futtock?

That sounds like a name I should give to a comic relief character. I can't see how it would fit into a sinister royal family's name.

    3. Thunderchild

They always seem to be Baron Von something or other. Maybe Snyder or whipsnade

  2. Okay, here's my guide for making an OC Okay, you ready for this?

  5. If you think that you are better than most people, but you still see yourself as poor in terms of skill, is that still Narcissism?

  6. For a long while now, I've procrastinated writing a story that I've been longing to write for a long time. I don't think I would have any trouble with continuing the story once I am able to begin it, but that is where I feel like I fall flat. I don't trust or like my way of beginning a story. That is my problem for a lot of things. I cannot continue reading a story if I am not dragged into it through the first few paragraphs or so, and I am sure that if it happens to me, it can happen to others, and I want to try and prevent that as much as possible. I am not entirely sure what information I can leave out or keep in to keep a story interesting enough. I need a third-person party to judge my work without the bias that I have. Naturally, I have the easiest access to the nicer of peoples, those being the Bronies on this forum, so I wanted to ask you. I will give any information you may need, such as a scrap of the story that you can review or critique. But, as it is right now, is there any basic ideas that can help? Hopefully nothing that seems too obvious. I can say that I have tried somewhat to look into how other more popular stories begin, but I still don't entirely trust my own judgement. I'm probably just being a worrywart about this, but I would rather ask others to be sure. Any attempt to help would be appreciated, for sure.

  8. I just watched the first ever episode to exist of My Little Pony, you know, the one with the original Tirek... It was pretty damn bad, but I wasn't expecting much more than what I got.

  9. Because the Mane Six accepted him as a friend even though he betrayed them. Since Tirek made such an impact on him when he denied him his promised power, he felt horrible and felt unworthy to be anyone's friend, but they still liked him. It just felt more meaningful than a tantrum on a frozen apple farm.
  10. I honestly thought that the original reformation process was a little weak. Now, though, I'm sure he's truly reformed. I'm pretty sure that he just thought Tirek was making a good deal. I mean, he does like ruling Equestria.
  11. One Hype Train ends, another Hype Train begins!

  12. The end is nigh! Let us celebrate the conclusion to the fourth season with a bundle of videos coming to you from the Hype Train.
  13. Why do I keep hearing a high frequency off to my right?

  14. It can depend. Sometimes disliking your work can bring more of an urge to correct it. Take me for example...
  15. You may be good at it, but I don't like it. The topics are all things I've seen before. I have never liked repetition. I love lyrics that make the singer sound special or unique. But, then, how can you get the motivation to improve if you always like your work? See flaws, or you'll never know how to correct them.
  16. I love Cosmos! But, it may not be the best show ever aired. Regardless, it has shown me some things that I haven't realized before, and I'm always up for learning!
  17. To be fair, neither do you. You can't say you are right when the question in hand is something very little people can actually understand. I know you don't want to argue, but you must know that it is not the Internet's fault. It's the anonymity that it brought. But, that isn't the point. Things can't be perfect and tailored exactly to what you want. I think it's hard for you to accept that, even at your age.
  18. Just because I'd rather have my arm do the work that another didn't let me do doesn't make me immoral. I just want to experience the force. Also, the Internet let people experience much more in life. With everything comes a positive and a negative. You can't stop it.
  19. So just because we don't need something, we should get rid of it? Also, after so much war and distrust between everyone, it shouldn't be a surprise that people are uneasy about things. Plus, I always feel at least a little bit insulted when people hold a door open for me. I seriously think you are the thunderstorm on the Analysis Parade. Stop raining on it and go about your own business. You don't have to witness all of the people who try to have a deeper mind than you. Even I want people to be nicer to each other, but we are human, so that can't happen easily, or at least with free will. Just go with it. Something like this can't be changed for the better.
  20. I don't agree with those who do that either, however you can not really know what is going on in other people's minds. As far as I know, you could be doing this very thing somehow. Most of the well-known reviewers and analysts do not try to wrench their way into others' skin. They are more accepting of other opinions. Still, though, it is a part of human nature to exploit as well. In a nutshell, human nature is to give the best result to the person. That could also include helping others, as that can bring satisfaction to some, but overall it is for one's benefit. While it is a stupid and skilless way to get money, I would just let them be. Eventually they will find out how horrible of an idea it is, and they will regret it. To summarize: you cannot generalize on the reviewing community. Many people are just doing it for shits and giggles, sure, but some do actually put work into their reviews. And, if people like doing that, then why stop them?
  21. Yes, actually. It is a part of human nature to voice an opinion. Also, you seem like a hypocrit with your points. You say people are overreacting and yet you are as well. Instilled Rules of Life? What are those? Really, all you are doing is suppressing free will. Where's the fun if you can't say what you want? Your logic is extremely flawed, in my opinion.
  22. Dude, that's a part of human nature. You can't stop human nature. Many people want to get angry and pass around their opinions no matter what. No community with free will can avoid it, as long as it has more than one human in it. We aren't a special case. If you want to turn this entire place into a lifeless wasteland of ignorant and simple people, then be my guest, but I will protest.
  23. I may have just drawn the most hilariously horrifying thing ever.

  24. So, should the acronym EG mean "Equestria Girls" or "Equestria Games?"
