  1. That is a tough call but I am going to have to say go to Equestria.
  2. I am sure Derpy will be in the background though I would be very surprised if she got another speaking role even in the 100th episode.
  3. Evidence? Something like this may be theoretically possible but I think what is far more likely is a solar flare creating an electro magnetic pulse which knocks out the power grid and renders pretty much all electronics worthless. Yes there is an increase in solar activity and there is a strong possibility of said EMP happening but I haven't seen any evidence of a possible solar flare strong enough to fry all life on earth though if the power grid does go down there will be a fairly significant loss of life due to riots/food shortages and of course all the people that rely on electronics to survive like dialysis patients, people in comas and people with pacemakers.
  4. You were one of the ones I respected the most and it is good to see you back.
  5. Darkseid, originally and still is a comic book character but when I think evil he is one of the first names that comes mind and the version in Superman The Animated Series is the best I have seen outside the comics. http://youtu.be/v0pcChyV6o4
  6. That wasn't the show creators or even Hasbro's decision they were bullied into it so I am not mad at them but am plenty pissed at the parents who didn't bother to claim to speak for people in situations they know very little if anything about. There were very few disabled people who actually complained about Derpy, nearly all of the complaints was from parents. Yes, indeed a character being "different" dosen't and shouldn't automatically make them a role model but at the same time a character like Derpy has quite a bit of potential for that. And also it has never been confirmed one way or another that Derpy has any "handicap" aside from being clumsy and having walled eyes though fans have made their own various interpretations of her character. Quite a few of them actually, I have said many times that I am on the Autism spectrum and do indeed support Derpy and am tired of these jackasses who claim to speak for people but don't even bother to listen to what they actually have to say such as what indeed happened in the case of Derpy. And I there are others I have heard who have said the same thing as well as a lot of people who are seen as different for various other reasons. For me I don't so much look up to her as I identify with her, I know exactly what it is like to be judged and singled out by others and it is indeed not a good feeling. If the people who complained simply made constructive suggestions instead of "off with her head" I and many other fans wouldn't hate and resent them so much and maybe just maybe there could be some reasonable compromise. I didn't want a conflict like this but they apparently did which is a real shame.
  7. Maybe writing this one shot fic idea will be the cure that ails me for writers block.

  8. That sounds all well and good but what if said user changes their mind and wants to be unbanned/undeleted? Someone can be unbanned easily enough but I don't know how easy it would be or even if it is possible to un delete a user. Even putting that aside it really takes up staff time that could be better spent on other things.
  9. They are coming, "smart TV's" as they are called are becoming more and more common and will become standard in a few more years or so.
  10. As we saw in the episode Leap of Faith where the FlimFlam brothers did something way way worse than what they did in their first appearance by selling ponies a cure all tonic that was actually just regular apple juice and many of those ponies actually has some serious diseases/ailments the FlimFlam brothers did NOT reform but simply moved onto another scam and if they do appear in another episode than the same thing will probably happen. I am not saying they can't reform but they didn't apologize or make amends to any pony once their scam was exposed, they just turned tail and ran. With that said though I like the FlimFlam brothers and wouldn't mind seeing a few more appearances from them, both their songs are my favorite in the entire series and there are so many cons they can pull off.
  11. I have had quite a few over the years actually Videl (Dragon Ball Z), Samus (Metroid), Celes (Final Fantasy VI) and most recently and significantly Applejack.
  12. Most of it is confusion over the definitions of disease and disorder/disability and what dosen't help this is how certain organizations like Autism Speaks keep trying to scare people by painting it is a fate worse than death to get money. And what also dosen't help is how so many thing are getting routinely pathologized, that is not to say there aren't any challenges with Aspergers that need some attention but whenever I think of a disease I tend to think of things like Cancer.
  13. I really don't like these "if you don't repost this than you are worse than Hitler" BS glorified chain letter statuses/pictures that get posted there all the time. Aside from that the worst that I can think of off the top of my head is this crap that I saw about Harry Potter being of the devil and when I called her on it she said I was "as dumb as a bag of hammers" and I hit the "unfriend" button not long after. And there were 2 incidents of me being called a racist, the first time was because I criticized illegal immigration and I forget the reason for the second accusation but the second one is a far left social justice warrior asswipe who I only friended because my Mom knows him.
  14. It is clearly not a disease but whether or not it is a disorder or mere difference depends on the individual and form that they have. I was first diagnosed with low functioning Autism at age 2 after exhibiting severe behavioral problems, sensory sensitivities and language delays. The doctor thought I was mentally challenged and wouldn't get an IQ past 50 but it turned out I had an above average IQ. When I got older and overcame certain challenges I began to exhibit traits much more associated with "Aspergers" than "low functioning Autism". Aspergers is a form of Autism that is usually accompanied by an average or in many cases above average IQ but with difficulties interpreting social rules, norms and cues and interacting with others but the level of difficulty and how much it impacts them depends. In my case I have advanced to the point where most people can't tell I have or ever had Autism but still have challenges on certain matters so the line between disorder and difference can vary even in the same person in their lives. In my younger years and even up through my teen years I was so profoundly impacted that I think what I was going through indeed can appropriately be called a disability/disorder but now I think it is more accurate to call it a difference. It became this way through years and years of struggles, therapies, interventions and the support of a lot of people in my life and since every situation is so different it is really difficult to draw that sort of line. With that said though while I wouldn't go so far as call Autism or rather the form of it known as Aspergers I do believe it can have its advantages as well as drawbacks and in some cases a drawback can be tempered into an advantage. Case in point is the often obsessive and narrow interests that many of the Autism spectrum do engage in. The disadvantage of course is things turning into excessive fixations which can interfere with healthy relationships, responsibilities and other potential interests. Nurtured properly though these "interests" can be re directed in a way that can lead to lucrative hobbies and in some cases even careers that can enrich the lives of people on the Autism spectrum.
  15. Monk/fighter most likely I can use fists and bo staffs well. With a chaotic good aligment my concern is more over what is right than what the "rules" are.
  16. Sugar, even by itself it tastes good and if that was healthy I probably wouldn't have a gut anymore.
  17. I may not particularly enjoy it but I still understand what you mean. Sometimes when I am seriously hurt I get these intense adrenaline rushes that are even more intense than the ones I normally get when I am working and I have had quite a few doozies though some of them were enhanced a bit through energy drinks. They are often followed by equally intense crashes that leave me exhausted though, they are a bit of double edged sword though. They give me more strength to push through and double as a rather useful pain killer but can also contribute to me under estimating just how hurt I really am. Of course the weird thing is that when my knee acts of because I have stood in place too long certain things that would normally aggravate it like kneeling and squating feel pretty much as good as you can imagine without is turning sexual. Of course there are also certain mild forms of sexual pain that I do like but it is probably best I don't go into too much detail about that.
  18. I usually go for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters but this time I am going for a DC Comics character. Black Adam is the main villain of Captain Marvel (he was named back when Marvel Comics was known as Atlas Comics and was originally owned by Fawcet Comics). Black Adam or Mighty Adam as he was known was the original champion of the wizard Shazam, he was given the power of 6 Egyptian gods but was sealed away by Shazam after he abused his power by deposing the pharaoh and ruling in his place. Thousands of years later after Shazam chose a new champion Captain Marvel a decendant of Black Adam Theo Adam freed Black Adam. Captain Marvel tried to get the Egyptian gods to take back the power from Black Adam but they refused because they actually liked Black Adam and sympathized with him. 19. As someone who has had over 6 knee injuries most of them work related I have dealt with more pain in the last 6 years than many people will deal with in their entire lives and what I found out is that I have an insanely high tolerance for pain. Even without the aid of pain medications which I try to avoid as much as possible because of the side effects (it is another reason why I support medical marijuana) I have endured levels of pain that would probably cause most people to pass out, I can't even begin to say how many times I have actually come close to passing out especially with my 1st and 4th knee injuries. That light headed feeling like I could hit the floor any second if often how I can tell I am really in seriously trouble. Because of my high tolerance to pain I often seriously underestimate just how hurt I really am and will often keep pushing until long after it is wise to continue to do so. My 1st injury was the worst one I ever had and yet I still thought that going home from work early and using the 2 days off in a row I had after that shift would be enough but as I learned the hard way they weren't, as a matter of fact I was out of work for 2 months but the good news is it was half the time the doctor estimated but the injury was so serious that it is what got everything started. One type of pain I am not very tolerant toward is hunger pain, if I don't eat something for a while than I get very very cranky and irritable which was the absolute worst part of my recovery when I got all 4 of my wisdom teeth removed a few years ago. Yes once the pain medicine wore off the pain did go up but even the worst of it was nothing compared to even my milder knee injuries even I include the countless ones that only required me leaving work early or calling in sick for a day or so to recovered from which don't count toward the 6. Once I could eat solid food I was so grateful to have it that even shoe leather would have tasted like a filet minion to me.
  20. pants, partly because it is a force of habit and because if I change into my work uniform it makes it much easier to tuck my shirt in (company dress code requires that).
  21. Usually whatever I am wearing that day, it helps cut down on the amount of laundry I have to do. If it is hot or I feel like I will sometimes go commando.
  22. A marathon of the special Makind The Story of Us is on the History Channel today, I know what I am going to be doing today.

  23. "Dear "Dr." Fields, my response to your letter of February 19, 1976, is -- kiss my ass." Those words were said by the then attorney general of Alabama Bill Braxley in response to this letter by a klansman trying to intimidate him for re opening this racially motivated church bombing case. I wish more politicians had the kind of balls on them that this guy had.

general questions How do I delete a Topic?

You can't, only a moderator can do that. You can however report said topic or PM a moderator to ask them to delete it for you, it is no guarantee that they will do it though. When these requests are granted it is usually information that the posted deems personal or no longer relevant, a lot of posts in the Life Advice section are a good example of this.
  25. I have tended to go for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters for the most part in this and similar functions but I think I will go for something a bit different this time. There is just something cool about having the powers of 6 Egyptian gods. Shu, Horus, Amon, Zehuti, Aton, Mehen.
