      Maybe they like him because he back stabs his Evil leader Megatron a lot of times and coward ! If you think about Queen Chrysalis has a little bit of Starscream in her the way she back stabbed and control Shining Armor to do her evil deed !

      A lot of the time they're not actually fans of *Starscream*, they're fans of the (often extremely) non-canon Starscream they've created in their own mind (such as the misunderstood woobie). This isn't just a TF/Starscream thing, either, it's the entire fandom universe fanonizing bad guys (see: MCU Loki for another prime example).
