    We are here at last, wow it really took me time work has been a blast and many other things came in the way but we are finally here the entry for the fourth of the corners, the first one to be considered as a defender of the realm and actually the leader of the corners. Princess Ancora, example of justice and banner of hope for Equestria.

     



     
    To start, yes she is an alicorn so you can start your witch hunt, bring the pitchforks and the torches I am ready for this, and why am ready for this well because she needs to be "close" to perfect. Why and alicorn? well to start because as you can see all other tribes of the pony kind have a representative withing the corners, Pegasus, Unicorns and Earth Ponies have their own hero and all of them were selected by this warrior princess. With this I try to bring balance to the "group of heroes" keeping an equilibrium with the tribes within the corners and what they mean to my idealization of the Equestria of the past.
     
    I analyzed the alicornian characters on the show, you'll see they are there to be examples of perfection and virtue, even Twilight is growing to become like that, just like her Ancora is becoming something bigger guided by Celestia the difference is the time and situation of the world for Ancora are way more dark and terrible than the almost Utopian Equestria we know from the show.
     
     



     
     
    Working her desing was hard, considering she has to be something close to a warrior and a princess she had to show the beauty of the alicorn standard but also determination and discipline. All to fit with her personality, CM and role on the fic. Her name, Ancora, its a synonym for hope in Latin, this also flowing the "trend" of the princesses names at the series. Celestia, Luna Cadenza, are words in Latin, Spanish and Italian all of them Romance Languages so I chose Ancora to fit this into the style of the princesses. Also its an important symbolism for the character and the reason Celestia named her the defender of the east, Basically Ancora brings hope from the east with each one Celesta's suns from where it rise from.
     
     



     
     
    The whole deal between Ancora and Celestia is the main topic with this princess. While the younger one sees her as a mother and more Celestia has in Ancora a balm to heal the pain her heart feels because of the recent banishment of her younger sister. They both use one another to find happiness something that could end in terrible ways for them and all of Equestria.
     
     



     
     
    Well there she is, the last of the corners, As always you are more than welcome leave your comments . Next Blog will be of they as a group and will have some amazing artwork I manage to develop with some of the best artist in the fandom .

    Welcome back to this series explaining a little of the OC's i created and the process to do so. It has been some time but its better late than never so lets continue with Faith Bastion, the Kind Giant and the third one of "the Corners",
     

     
    There were some key concepts in creating Faith Bastion, Religious Devotion, Might, and Kindness, yes I am using the "cliche" of the gentle strong guy with him but adding a reason to it. You see for me as you maybe read on the previous entries is all about the purpose for a story and for Faith I am aiming to show how deep and serious the teachings of Princess Celestia and a "possible cult" that worship her.
     
    Think here for a second, Celestia is a savior, that fought chaos itself and defeated the eternal night, she is the bringer of light and had made enormous sacrifices to protect Equestria ant its Ponies. She is immortal, terribly strong and in her the feats of the 3 tribes converge... I dont know about you but in a time of darkness and fear a figure like that could be considered a goddess.
     
    So Faith Bastion is the unimpeachable example of devotion, he follows the teachings of the sun as a dogma for living, believes that his actions, destiny, might, failure and even success comes from the will of Celestia, this brings so many good things for him but also so many problems and deceptions. Is that the right way to be? is it the wrong? I frankly dont know but I try to show with him what "situations" can exist imperfection follows and tries to be perfect.
     



     
    Faith is a titan, considerably bigger than Big Mac and possessing the strength never seen before in the pony kind, even as a foal he was unique and imposing, he was quickly recuited to be part of the royal guard and kind he was a hero and indoctrinated with the teachings of the sun goddess. He believes his skills and features are blessings given to him by Celestia for him to serv her and he did becoming a hero in the dark times of the realm and the first earth pony to be the Princess Personal Guard. All to be decorated as one of the Corners, commanded to defend the south of the realm.
     



     
    Well there he is the third hero of the mith, a pegasus, a unicorn and a earth pony each tribe represented on the figure of a magnificent pony that displays the best of their race. What can the 4th corner be? will the equilibrium be broken that will be revealed at the next entry of this blog.

    RP - Character Emoticons

    So... its been some time. Sorry if any of you used to follow this blog, but hey, Im back and this time sharing a little idea inspired by my role player mentor Iron Wing.
     
    Sometimes in RP's people has problem getting the feelings that a character is having or dealing with (well that happens to me at least) so to deal with that and working with top tier artists Wicklesmack and Pridark I came up with this "emotes" to help me show what my character has in her mind / heart etc...

    So after some time and some talk with the amazing artist behind this pieces I deiced to make a little journal on the development of a series of characters for a fic Im developing. This is both on the personality, character development and back-story as well as the graphic design behind them ant as gentlecolts to start we have a mare. Here is Freedom Gale of the four corners.
     
     
    To design her as well as all my OC's I had to firts picture a concept. For her was wilderness and attached to it Freedom. That concept lead to her backstory, being raised in the wilderness with few contact with other ponies, a strong independent mare that values a lot the nature that is her home. Hence she has problems with the authority and has rebellion flowing in her veins.
     
    After that it was time to share the thoughts with the artist, an amazing talented dood (To-nio click for his DA)that brought the traits of the character into what I wanted. With a close communication and a dedicated step by step process he was able to bring the pictures of my mind to the paper... or screen.
     

     
    The idea of a strong character able to care for herself was a key always keeping her concept and back-story percent the artist was able to find the expression pose mane and colors to fit her well. With close feedback we were able to find the perfect design using details like the feathers and leaf on her mane to show her connections with nature and at the same time give her some particular Identity without overloading the character and keeping her possible to the world of MLP

    RP Emotes -- Colt Strahl

    Well another one of this blogs now with my Main OC and "ponysona", well at least in a way. It has been hard to work with Colt in the RP world, normally RP owners are not very open towards dragons a d my poor poor drake ends up rejected in many RP's. Yet it has been fun when he gets accepted and I have find amazing friends in the lines of dreams and fantasy from their minds and my own.
     
    As with Emi I used some of his original art created by Space-Kid and the help of Pridark to bring this series of emotes to life. I have been working his appearance to fit in the world of MLP and I think its pretty close yet keeping his own looks original and fitting his personality. What do you think?

    Continuing this small journal of character design Truth is taking the spotlight. And by that I mean Hoarfrost Truth and to explain all about him I want to take some time to explain the way I the foundation behind what I believe is a good story.
     
    For me the concept to tell a story is the purpose, why do I want to create so many scenes in my head and dialogues between characters and all that stuff that goes in there. The reason for each writer is different, fame, fortune, a love interest, some deed, a personal promise are some of the reasons that come to my mind but they are as diverse as the writers behind them and when I cant just point each one of them I can tell you of my own.
     
    The reason of me doing all of this to send a message, I know its vage so I'll explain I want to share part of my way of seeing life through an adventure than everypony can enjoy, my take on "high level stuff" like justice, equality, sexism, love and existence are behind details of characters, events and situations I describe and for me to achieve that is necesary to have characters that can fit into that kind of purpose.
     
    Just as in the original show we all love the purpose of my story is guiding the design of it. In MLP we can say the original purpose is to show how friendship is a great way to make your life better (thats for me you don't have to agree) and because of that we see different traits, details and concepts in the characters to make that possible. In my story given all what I want to show I think there are other things to be considered. My purpose wants to show my view of things we all have to go through so because of that I need characters that can be considered "real" with motivations, origins and personalities that could be considered "legit" in terms of a world that lives in our imagination and hearts and our own.
     
    And that bring us back to out stellar today (sorry for babbling around) Hoarfrost is and old experienced pony he could be considered the oldest of this "group" and a guide for the rest of them. With a story that bring him close to King Sombra and the Chrystal Empire he once held a deep grudge against Celestia herself but well just as many of us have learned and if not I hope you will life has a way to change certain points of view.
     

     
    To bring all of this we used the general stuff to show his age, I have to say we tried different stuff to show his age but the normal stuff was by far more effective. Also we had some problems with his eyes, given the fact that he is blind the artist tried differences stuff but the concept of washed white eyes made the trick.
     

     
    With a silent attitude and very reserved personality this stallion doesn't shows much but cares a lot for those ponies he consider close. He would save his words for the most important times and have always a lot in his mind.

My name is Welkin Gazer, and I am a scholar of the history of our beloved Equestria. I have lived traveling to the farthest corners and highest peaks of this world, crossing the roads that lead from horizon to horizon, learning and recording the places, dealings, events and lives from past and present that have given shape to our world and will found the grounds upon where the generations to come shall stand.
     
    You see, my dear friend, the past shapes the present as this moment establishes the future. We are subjected to the consequences the happenings that were. To free ourselves from the shackles of a dreaded fate, there is no other way than acknowledge the steps that brought us here. My life has been devoted to build a path for you to walk alongside my words, for these are the records of the stories and legends that dyed the colors of the Equestrian folklore, which have inspired dreams and fed nightmares for entire generations. You may consider the stories that follow these words to be fantasies or fiction, but if you do, dear friend, I’m afraid you would be mistaken. The scars over history are always left behind by some deep wound and just as our flesh history shows without fail the record of those wounds. Through stories, legends, songs, prayers and many more ways, our kind has stored those wounds deep inside our culture.
     
    Fueled by the drive of discovering the wounds behind those scars, I crossed the land and gathered the traces left behind such tales, pieces from our past that have dented our lives with their powerful myths. Heroes of bravery without precedent, artifacts of terrible might, lands filled with wonders, creatures of borne from both divine and wicked womb . Our world holds the fabric of legend among its days and nights and it is from here that these stories find their origin.
     
    Just as the magnificent dream embodied into flesh and magic that our Empress of the Sun is, the unlimited amount of legends that sprout throughout our world is never ending: as the stars that once were guarded by the mare in the moon, her legend and prophecy is true and waiting to ensue. The secrets of thousand other stories are waiting for souls like yours to find and unveil their wonders.
     
    Now as I see how the dusk of my life is drawing nigh, I can tell you, dear reader, that the words that will follow these are the testament of my travels, and the joy of my times. My efforts now rely on you and with them, the hope that they will be able to ignite a spark in your heart that will burn with the flames of discovery, pulling you towards the desire of knowing more.     The 4 Corners

    As part of my Fic project I’m developing a set of 4 OC's that close to 700 years before the show were the guardians of Equestria, They were called the 4 Corners and each one of them defend a frontier of the realm. The group is intended to show the balance and streangth of each one of the pony tribes, a pegasus, an earth pony, an unicorn and an alicorn formed this guard all of them as equals under Celestia’s command.
     
     

     
    Their names, Freedom Gale of the West, Faith Bastion of the South, Hoarfrost Truth of the North and Princess Ancora of the East. As a side note ancora is the Latin for hope, I choose her name like this because I think all of the alicorn names are based in Latin.

    Real Life SAA Cider? Maybe

    On a recent trip I did to a small town not so closet o my city I found this alcohol free cider that is absolutely delicious and as I was buying it and of course drinking it the thoughts of the Apple family stroke my brony heart. Why? this was bottled for a local market in a small town and made by a family business sounds familiar?
     

     
     
    Maybe this is how the one from the Apple’s taste like or not but it was a good way to taste a little bit more of the MLP world in our own and it was just right to share it with my family and friends and now of course with you… just saying
