  1. I'm a feminist... A TRUE feminist... I realized that the brony community, with it's large portion of adult males, was a GOOD thing for feminism, and a step in the right direction. Part of what makes the world unfair to the female gender is the lack of understanding in the males, and that, for some reason, many men are afraid of looking even the slightest bit feminine because they think it's weak, and it's bad.

The fact that all genders and all ages can enjoy something that's target audience is young girls is a BIG statement of the progressive and open-minded nature of both the people creating the show, and the people watching it.

With a focus strong female characters, without making the few male characters that turn up look weak, it's exceptionally equal. Big Macintosh is very strong and hardworking, Shining Armour can produce a force-field around the entirety of Canterlot and is captain of the royal guard, Soarin is an exceptional flyer and (I think) is the second in command with the Wonderbolts. Even spike, who is a baby dragon, is intelligent enough to read, write, organize the library, and he does the typical "female" jobs around too because Twilight is often really busy.

And that's important. The key to feminism is teach both males AND females that they're equals, no matter what jobs they do.

  2. Well, companies in Japan, like nintendo or other stuff I've never heard of are vry succesful. They make great games, and since everything they do is overated (almost), like animes, their popularity is just rising. So ofc there is some favoritism, almost all the games are released first in Japan, and some exclusive stuff.

And since technology seems to be the most important thing to them, they get all the new stuff first. I don't know if you have noticed, but the Japan is always trying to do better than everyone else, trying to impress the world.

Personally, I quite dislike Japan, not because of video games, but because of japanese cars (Lots of historical facts and conspiracies and horrible stuff), animes and their so called "japanese pop".

But well, their consoles and ideas are slowly deterioring. I hope they realize soon that what most of the people want is a great video game with easy controls, not all this mess with graphics ad weird controllers.

I like anime, My mum drives a Toyota (a japanese brand) and I think J-pop is kinda cool... Maybe I'm just weird, but to me, Japan is a place filled with nothing but awesome. Well, not completely, but most of it is amazing. Heck, I even love Japanese mythology, tradition and culture in general.

However, the reason so much innovation comes from japan is, quite possibly, because most of the people there have strict schedules to follow and very little freedom in adulthood. They rejoice in what we consider weird because they need a break from reality. The time they have to themselves is used taking a break, escaping from their poor repetitive lives... It's the only reason I could not live there.

  3. Lol... My mom saw my screensaver, which is Fluttershy dancing, and this occurred:

    mum: Is that a pony?

    me: yeah, it's Fluttershy

    mum: What's it doing?

    me: dancing...

mum: Why is there a pony dancing on your screen?

    me: It's my screensaver...

    mum: What?

me: Uh, yeah... Didn't you know I liked MLP?

    mum: ...

  4. I may as well join.

I've been thinking about how much better the world could be run under one government, and how the countries of the world aren't likely to give up their individualism easily. Atomic warfare may be the only option, if they fail to surrender peacefully.

So, uh... Can I be an adviser or something? I'm not great at technical stuff.

    :P

  5. True moral of the story: STOP QUESTIONING AND START DOING!

    Right?

Because I'm sick of people asking questions. They're getting no-where, even when they think they are. The only way to get anywhere in life is to do something. SOMETHING. Anything.

    Why are you doing this?

    Why are you not?

I believe that everyone should be able to think for themselves.

  6. I see then, well good luck with your future.

    Fun fact:

Because of the several Australian friends I made on this site, talking to one on Skype, and enjoying several Australian products that are easily found on Guam, it makes me want to visit the country.

There's a fair amount to see here... It'll only take you a few months, if not years to see it all. The beauty of this country is really underrated, partly because of the whole "Danger everywhere" Thing... Well, there is danger everywhere, it's just not as severe as we make it out to be. We like to scare tourists, it's funny!

  7. I can tell that have a bright future ahead, also if you want to go somewhere outside Australia that's not cold, come to Guam! It's a three hour flight from Cairns!

    ...

    ....

    ..

Err well, I guess you wouldn't have that much money to go abroad, but I hope you'll still have a good time wherever you go.

    ~Flow

I don't exactly enjoy being in a humid and hot area either. Between the tropics is basically also off limits. I'm close enough as is. I can just visit the cold places when it's summer there anyway. I think it would be quite comfortable for me in the UK around now. Or somewhere else like that. I just don't like being too cold, so I'm keeping clear of places that are too cold normally.

  8. I understand your problems. Today I actually got into an argument that I actually started crying =/

And I also enjoy walking to school since my parents aren't around. Especially when me and my class went to Estonia and Riga. WHOLE DAY with out parents telling you what to do! It was awesome.

I hope you feel better =)

Yeah... Not getting involved really helped. I can't wait until the end of the year! I graduate, so I can leave my mom and younger brother behind. I don't want to ever come back...

  9. I remember when i was playing Spirit Tracks...until i lost it. Which sucks, I was stuck at a part with the train on a mountain. I also have been distracted by Nintendo with Super Smash Bros, and Super Mario Galaxy.

I've finished it now... The train on the mountain huh? With the Flutterphants (flying elephant creatures) or the armored train whilst transporting the ice? Either way, it's not that hard... 1, you just whistle short then long (like a train whilstle) or 2, you just avoid them until you can get enough ice there, similar concept to the underwater one.

  10. I'd not heard of Bronies. Instead I was searching for MLP gen 3. In particular, Rarity. Why? Nostalgia. Same reason I still adore Pokemon and play with dolls occasionally. Don't judge, I'm a girl! But I didn't find the pink rainbow princess. I found what I thought was a stereotypical girly-girl unicorn who looked completely different from the innocent adventurous and unruly one I grew up with. I was stunned, then outraged. I eventually cooled off, and spotted something unusual. One of my friends had a pony for his Facebook pic. This piqued my curiosity. I figured that this new Rarity wouldn't be the only character, so I gave it a shot. I adored Twilight and Fluttershy. Pinkie and Rainbow Dash soon caught my attention and I liked them too. Rarity and Applejack are still bottom of my favorite ponies lists, but I've found them good foils to other characters, and their characters are dynamic. Eventually, ponies drew me in. I found bronies through watching MLP. I fell in love with the fandom. I've never left. Well, never intentionally, but I've taken breaks. Nothing wrong with the fandom or ponies, just IRL getting in the way.

  11. Console wars: Completely pointless, especially since they exclude portable ones!

I think I might stick with (eventually) picking up the 3DS and getting a better gaming PC... Like, seriously... I know there are exclusives I'd love to have from both Microsoft and Sony, and I adore Nintendo, but the home consoles are turning into DVD players, Internet browsers and Television streamers.

Oh, and you missed one. The Steam Box is gonna be epic! Go Valve, a PC dev... Oh hi again PC!

  12. Gosh... Don't you hate it when someone takes the current MLP phenomena the wrong way? I mean, in all seriousness, Gen 1, Gen 3, Gen 3.5 and FiM each have different designs and most bronies consider the first 3 to be disturbing or "too girly" with the newer designs more stylised with better colours (e.g. Rarity being a dull white and Applejack not having pink, purple or rainbows). It seems peculiar that people still think of MLP as the Gen 3 or Gen 1, despite the fandom being almost entirely restricted to Gen 4.

  13. I'm one of the people who wishes humans would stop labelling and stereotyping other people. Yeah, if it's used in good humour, by the party being stereotyped, I don't mind it. Otherwise, it can be offensive. I get tired of hearing my own mother B*^ing about assylum seekers and muslims in Australia "Coming here for the Australian Lifestyle and not adjusting their beliefs and customs."

I really wish I was brave enough to tell her off. The assylum seekers aren't here for the lifestyle. They're here for the safety. They don't want to live in a place where they could be killed when they've done nothing wrong. They want a safe happy place to live. My mum just doesn't realize this. Maybe I'm just more open minded and accepting of other people (a good thing)
