  1. I kinda have a problem with this episode. The jokes were fine, the song was really catchy, I just feel like Babs got off too easy for her behavior. I know the moral is that you should tell someone when you're being bullied, but frankly, Babs deserved to have that booby trap go off on her. Regardless of her reason for becoming a bully in Ponyville, the fact is she still mercilessly tormented the CMC for the sake of being "cool" and ended up never having to face any consequences. How many bullies did any of you know growing up who became your friend? It's not impossible but the fact is most bullies are just dicks, whether there's a reason behind it or not. The CMC's booby trap may not have been the "nice" thing to do but they had already tried being more than nice to Babs and she threw it back in ther faces. That little punk needed an ass whooping, but since that obviously isn't gonna happen on a kids' show she at least needed to be reminded of what it felt like to be treated that way.
  2. That's really more of an exploit than an actual hack. I just now tried the hack I posted and I can confirm it does indeed work. However, you still can't buy ponies or buildings that you aren't at a high enough level to unlock in the shop.
  3. You sure you did it right? Other people are saying it works. Were you trying it for android or iOS because I'm only trying the iOS one myself.
  4. Number one: The argument that "people who swear are unintelligent and have a small vocabulary" is total bullshit. Yes, there are people who swear a lot who have small vocabularies, but there are also very smart people, even brilliant people, who swear all the time. The amount you swear has nothing to do with your level of intelligence. I swear a lot. I'm sure those of you who have seen me post here and there have figured that out. I actually swear less here than I do on other forums and around other people. However, I try to set a few rules for myself. I don't swear around little kids (unless that kid is really pissing me off) and I try not to swear around strangers or people who I think will be offended by it (old people, christians, soccer moms). When I'm around friends, though, all bets are off.
  5. 500 gems for Rainbow Dash?! Fuck that, it's time to use the hack. I realize freemium games have to sell cash items in order to turn a profit, but there's microtransactions and then there's just greed.
  6. Here it is. I haven't tried using it myself (although I probably will once I have to buy things that cost hundreds of gems for quests). I take no responsibility for anything that happens as a result of anybody using it.
  7. There's a hack out there now for both android and iOS that either gives you 999 gems for free or, if that feels too easy, lets you convert coins to gems, although I don't know the exchange rate. It doesn't require jailbreaking your device but I think you do need a wireless router.
  8. Word of advice: Don't waste harmony shards by redeeming them for coins. Hang on to them so you can get rid of all those GOD DAMN PARASPRITES that will inevitably pop up. There are plenty of ways to get bits. There is only one way to remove parasprites.
  9. Yeesh, even if you cheat it would literally take hours just to get enough gems for Celestia. Let's see...960 gems. Using the clock trick can get you about 3 gems in 3 minutes, give or take... 960/3 = 320... 320/60 = 5.3 consecutive hours of abusing the exploit in order to get Celestia. Holy moley.
  10. Obviously there's a very good reason why it costs so much money to move around these alleged "rocks." They're not really rocks at all. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u771CgD3jUo
  11. I would be willing to invest a little bit of money just to support the game if not for the fact that gems are ridiculously overpriced. Celestia alone costs over 50 dollars. So, how many gems can you potentially get by fiddling with the clock?
  12. I have also experienced the apple picking bug. I'm glad it's not just me because I wasn't entirely sure it was a bug. I thought maybe I still had my thumb just barely touching or something.
  13. How do you move people from the invite section to the friends section? What has to happen? I accepted over 20 friend invites with GL Live but my only in-app friend is still Princess Celestia.
  14. I just accepted a bunch of friend invites. Not sure how to send gifts though. I look under "invites" in the social menu and it has a big list of people where it says "INVITED" in green for each name. So maybe they have to visit me first or something? I dunno. I would have thought accepting the friend invite would open their town to me.
  15. Twilight is most definitely not equal in power to all her friends.
  16. So we all know by now that Sombra was kind of a disappointment. Can we talk about how friggin crazy it is that Celestia (and technically Twilight now) knows black magic? Why would she add that to her repertoire? Also
  17. Feel free to add me as well. As far as I can tell adding friends is the only way to get hearts, which are required to get Zecora and a few other ponies. Again, my Gameloft ID is "Discordlicious"
  18. Damn damn daaaamn. Every idea for a name I try for a Gameloft ID is already taken. Once you make these names you're stuck with them so I don't want it to be something stupid. *Edit* I just thought of one. Not my first choice but I can live with it. "Discordlicious" Aren't you supposed to be able to visit random towns in this game? That's what the game said but I can't figure out any way to do it
  19. Canterlot's stained glass salesponies must really love Celestia. She will take any opportunity she can get to have a new window installed. "I really liked that sandwich I had for lunch. CALL THE STAINED GLASS COMPANY. EQUESTRIA NEEDS TO KNOW HOW GOOD THIS SANDWICH WAS." I kid. It's nice that Spike is finally recognized as one of the heroes. If I have one complaint about the episode it's that King Sombra ended up being more of a force of nature than an actual character. I'm kinda hoping he shows up again in the future so they can flesh him out a bit. By the way...What was that book the princesses had at the very end? It seemed important.
  20. You don't HAVE to pay for Celestia. It's just a matter of how patient you're willing to be, and admittedly it will take a while to get enough gems for her. She's the friggin princess. My only real complaint is the lack of minigame variety in leveling up ponies. I kinda hope they add some more in an update later on.
  21. I'm using it on an ipod touch right now. Just do a search for my little pony and it should come up. Are you not in the US or Australia?
  22. I've been playing it for a couple hours now so I think I have a decent grasp of how it works: It is framed around Nightmare Moon's return, so you start off with the whole world covered in shadows and the only building/pony you have is Twilight and her library. However, you can use bits to buy new buildings as well as put ponies to work in those buildings to get you more bits. The more ponies you have in one shop, the more bits you can get. Some jobs require leveled up ponies, and ponies are leveled up by playing various minigames to earn star points, and then a flying minigame to claim the star once it's full. Another form of currency is shards from the elements of harmony. These are used to speed up building, shoo away parasprites, buy your way into more lucrative minigame rewards, and activate elements of harmony. Yeah, see, there's these monuments representing each of the elements of harmony lying around. In order to reach them you have to clear away Nightmare Moon's shadows by buying more land, thus giving you more room to build and bringing you closer to the elements. I assume when all the elements are activated Nightmare Moon turns into Luna and becomes buyable, since I didn't see Luna in the pony store. Oh, and Derpy can be found sneaking around outside of town. I spotted her in a cardboard box. If you tap her, she drops money.
  23. The MLP mobile game is now officially released. This is a thread for discussing it. It's free to download so if you have a compatible device there's no reason not to try it out. Has anyone else downloaded it yet?
  24. The IPB app and Tapatalk aren't mutually exclusive so I don't see how that holds water. You can use both if you want, even. All it does is provide more options. I dunno about the likelihood of getting an MLP forums exclusive app on the app store, either. Android, maybe, but I have doubts about Apple, and that's what I'm using. There's also the possible legal implications involved in releasing an app associated with MLP that isn't sanctioned by Hasbro. Unless he's talking about a homebrew app for jailbroken devices, which I do not wish to mess with.
  25. There's a nice app on at least the iPhone called tapatalk that I think this forum should look into. Forums arent supported on it by default. Admins more or less need to add their boards to its database (null)
