    I think the best way to sum up my opinions on the episode is that I don't think it was the worst Spike episode. It wasn't fantastic and it wasn't terrible, it was just... a Spike episode. I'm glad that Spike was at least remotely competent; as he points out, he did manage to let Twilight have a fantastic nap, even if did eventually result in a coup. Also, this is the second new episode that I've actually watched on a television and not streamed, so this episode has that going for it too.

    Social life online? Certainly. Social life IRL? Kind of, I guess. I mean, I've attended a couple of Brony meetups in the Boston area, which is something that I obviously never would have done without the show/fandom. Even though I haven't really made any close friends by going to them, I tend to be a person who would rather just stay in their room alone, so I suppose just going out of my way to attend a social event is a step in the right direction.

    This episode vastly exceeded my expectations (which were admittedly not set very high). Was it all just a bunch of fanservice and references? Certainly, but it was still just so fun to watch! They did very well with this episode in my opinion. In fact, it's up there with my overall favorites, if only just because I had a really good time watching it!

    Ugh, 'The Devil Is A Part-Timer' was such a fun anime, but it was SO SHORT! I ought to buy the DVD to encourage them to make a second season...

    This is definitely my favorite episode of the season so far! It was really fun, and I don't actually have any complaints. Seeing Gilda again was cool and they wrapped up everything between her, Pinkie, and Dash really well. Also, the characterization was fantastic! Pinkie, Dash, Gilda, and even the brief moment with Twilight were really well done and seemed to fit the characters perfectly. Overall, a great episode! By the way, did anyone else notice what might be the first ever confirmed death in the show (unless you count Sombra) with the skull of the cyclops beast whose name escapes me? Dang, this show has come a long way...

    I only ever played Red Rescue Team, but I thought it was really fun, so I might pick this one up as well. One of my proudest gaming achievements is getting all the way through Purity Forest (after about a billion attempts...). I think I actually ended up getting all of the legendaries except for Jirachi, and the only reason I didn't get it was because I stopped playing when I got knocked out in Wish Cave and lost my Tight Belt... Anyways, hopefully it's good, and if so then maybe I'll come back to the series.

    Huh, well I'm in the overwhelming minority... I'm also late... Yeah, personally, I wasn't too keen on this episode. There was nothing really wrong I guess, it's just that the only word that comes to mind to describe this episode is obnoxious. Discord is a better supporting character; as the focus for the episode I just found it annoying. Then there's Tree Hugger, who could have been interesting if she was anything other than just a pony with the hippie cranked up to 11. I mean I wanted to like this episode because I like Discord and Fluttershy, I just thought it was more annoying than anything else. I don't know, maybe my opinion will change later with repeated watchings. Or maybe I'm missing something crucially important that makes everything better. For now though, unfortunately I'll have to put this as my least favorite episode of the season so far.

    So yeah, this episode was... okay I guess. It wasn't offensively bad, but I didn't find it particularly memorable either. I can't really say why, people before me have probably explained it much better than I could. Oh, and I'm just going to make a completely wild guess, but I think the theme of this season is going to be cutie marks. Shocking I know, but deep analysis of the past few episodes has led me to this conclusion. This probably means that we're going to be seeing quite a bit more of the CMC than usual, and I'm not sure if that's a good or a bad thing...
