  1. Absolutely not. I am awful when it comes to pressure; I basically just shut down, lose focus, and go into a state of panic. I hate the feeling and do everything that I can to avoid it.
  2. 1. Disappointing someone that I respect 2. Angering people that I don't know 3. Getting on people's bad sides in general 4. Wasps 5. Heights As for silly fears, I think that I have a number of them: being late (it doesn't matter why or for what, if I say that I'm going to be somewhere at a certain time, I almost certainly be there at that time, if not 10-20 minutes early), being touched by people (not quite so much a fear, but it makes me really uncomfortable), and romantic relationships (I have a very difficult time understanding them, so I avoid them while simultaneously sort of wanting one. Yeah, it's pretty counterproductive ).
  3. Not really, because it's difficult for an outside person to tell what the ratio actually means. For example, a person with very few brohoofs and a lot of posts might just post primarily in the RP sections (which I've noticed that, at least when I was there, brohoofs are given out much more sparingly). On the flip side, a person could primarily post in sections that don't increase your post count, where you can still get brohoofs and thus skew the truthfulness of the ratio. I guess that it does give a little bit of an indication as to how well you are (or were) known on the forums, but that's about it. Oh, and my ratio is 1087 brohoofs to 1192 posts, which is about 91%.
  4. As a gift for a friend for his birthday, I found a letter opener replica of Anduril (which is a sword from Lord of the Rings). It's a pretty cool piece, and part of me wants to get one for myself.
  5. I'm more of a person that wants relatively complete silence in order to sleep. Any sort of noise tends to distract me. I can fall asleep with outside noise, but I've found it to be significantly more difficult.
  6. I live in a college dorm currently, so I'm not sure if you could call it 'neighbors'... Anyways, I only have one person next to me (I specifically chose the room for that reason alone) and no roommates. He seems to be a pretty nice guy, and I have no problems with him. Even with the thin walls, I hardly ever hear him, and that's honestly all that I could ever ask for. I can't say that I know him too well though. We say hello if we pass each other on campus, but I've never really had much of an extended conversation with him.
  7. Wait... If the knocker is Scoota............ Shift knows the future!!!
  8. So after years of holding back, I finally updated my mac's OS from 10.6 to 10.7.

Of course, that still leaves me two versions behind the most current OS...

  9. This is a pretty easy one for me. Years ago when I was a scout in a local Boy Scout troop, we did a big trip up to Mount Greylock in Massachusetts. On the last day of our stay, we all woke up early and drove to the top of the mountain (we had already hiked to the top before, and time was of the essence here) so that we could watch the sun rise. That was hands-down the most gorgeous sight I've ever seen. We were above the morning fog, so everything below us just looked like one massive cloud. Then as the sun rose the fog began to cave in on itself and it looked like some sort of cloud waterfall. My description isn't really doing it justice though. I wish that I still had pictures. I know that some were taken, but none have been put online to my knowledge. I guess that I'd just highly recommend watching the sun rise from the top of a mountain at least once in your lifetime.
  10. It had been a while since I last played this, and just picked it up again today. In the three or four months that I've been absent, did they change up the dance minigame? I remember the Cafeteria Song being significantly more difficult...
  11. Well, that's it for my summer internship! Now for a nice week of relaxing before school starts up.

It went pretty well, thanks! I didn't end up doing a whole lot, but I got paid, so that's something :P

Paid internship? That's the best aye!

  12. I'm apparently decent enough at academic writing, though I hate doing it. I much prefer creative writing, but I'm not really sure how good I think I am at it. Some of my stories I feel aren't half bad, while some of my earlier stuff are abominations that should never have seen the light of day. Also, I can't write drama to save my life. Whenever I try, I end up just sounding stupid and self-important... My specialty is writing humorous stories, and most people who have read my stuff say that I'm at least pretty decent at that.
  13. That moment when you don't realize that you lost internet partway through typing a long post, try to post it, and lose everything because you forgot to copy it...

  14. +1 for quoting a Magic: the Gathering character. I am most certainly a fan of swords! I can't say that I know much about them, but I still think that they're really cool. I have one decorative sword hanging on my wall: a one-handed sword that seems to have Chinese designs on it. Then I also have this curved knife that looks like it's supposed to be used defensively. Personally, I'm a big fan of the western style swords, but I'm not too picky.
  15. Never ponies, but my family used to own a pair of horses that we would take out riding occasionally. They were pretty old though (mid or late twenties if I remember correctly), and had to be put down several years ago.
  16. I'm mostly a kinesthetic/tactile learner (can't quite tell which is stronger; so long as I'm able to stay mobile in some way, I tend to retain more information). Below that, I'm more auditory than I am visual. It's sort of a pain in terms of schoolwork because lectures do little to nothing for me, and reading textbooks is useless unless I read every passage a dozen times or I take notes while reading. Doing the homework is really the only way I really learn anything. On the flip side though, it provides an excellent incentive to actually do the homework.
  17. It's pretty clear that the Obama in this situation is a fake, since the real Obama would be standing on the left. That means that it must be Nega-Obama; Obama's evil clone that was forged in the center of the earth by annoying internet commenters. In that case, I would listen to Celestia and move the lever to the left.
  18. If I remember correctly, it wasn't exactly Shapeways that they C&D'd rather than it was artists that were on Shapeways (wasn't Hashbro one of the more popular ones that got shut down, or am I thinking of something different?). In any case, I consider this to be awesome news.
  19. I now have friends close to my age that are married. I guess that means that I have to somewhat accept that I'm getting older...

  20. When you're in the middle of writing a lengthy post, you get a notification and without thinking you click on it and lose everything you just wrote....
  21. On weekdays, I have to get up around 6am for work, so yeah, I do end up getting up fairly early. I've also found that my biological clock refuses to allow me to sleep past 8am, so I'm awake relatively early everyday anyways. Though just because I'm awake doesn't mean that I actually get up at that time.
  22. I think that this is the first time that I've voted in this tournament, but even so, go Fluttershy and stuff. We shall be victorious over the non-Fluttershy specimen. Or not; I suppose that that's an acceptable option too.
  23. Out of curiosity, anyone else here going to ConnectiCon this weekend?
