The whole of Eurovision is way too political now anyway, it used to be about just music and if it was good then it got further. But now if your country made some political decisions that the others feel are wrong you suddenly seem to get 0 points or very little. Mind you I really wanted Moldover to win last time (or was it the time before?).

Well we had a thread earlier about what games we'd like to see ponified, so I was wondering what movies or tv shows would you like to see ponified? So which of the mane 6 (or other characters) would be who? For me I'd love to see Battlestar Galactica (the new one) ponified, Twilight would be Admiral Adama, Applejack for Colonel Tye, Pinkie as Gaius Baltar, Rainbow Dash as Starbuck, Rarity as Athena, and Fluttershy as Dee. The Cylons would be the Changlings.

Fallout Equestria... Seriously I would play this, the fan fic is awesome so if they put even 1/2 the effort in to the game as the fan fic it would be amazing. A pony platformer would be good, like in the style of the lego series mixed with a bit of sonic. You could change between characters for skill types, for example you meet a wall that requires Applejack to buck, items need levitating with Twilight, for speed you would need Rainbow Dash etc. If they make it a open world like in Lego LotR you could explore Equestria and meet the varying side characters and fan favourites. Perhaps unlocking those as playable characters too. Of course it would need a brand new story to go with it, unless they got you to play through all the seasons and episodes, but I'm not sure how a slice of life episode would work in that format.

I certainly have wished they were real on several occasions. But then I always think about how we hump mans treat each other and that quickly changes my mind. I mean we can't even get in with our own species how well are we going to do against one that in some ways are superior to us? Assuming that there are no issues like that though I would love it.

I use Adblock edge, Adblock plus pop-up blocker, greasemonkey (ponyhoof script), pixl grabber, ponify, firebug, speed dial, stumbleupon, and YouTube to mp3. I've tried chrome but then discovered that google are evil and it was just awful to use and don't get me started on IE.

Do you fear that a lot of people will leave the fandom after EqG?
Fridge replied to Hdc's topic in Equestria Girls
Do I fear that a lot of the fandom will leave? No. It's not something I worry about and if they leave that's their prerogative, but I do think that most that use that threat are seeking attention. At the end of the day whether they stay or go doesn't change what has happened and it certainly won't bother Hasbro.- 159 replies

movies/tv Does anybody else not like Anime?
Fridge replied to SuperpoweredSuperfly's topic in Media Discussion
There was a documentary about it, but I can't find a link for it so sadly can't contest this without going into a pointless argument. You are at least partially right though -

Oh the pacman eyes is actually a bit of a jibe at the westerners. The Japanese have always found our eyes to be really huge. In a way it's a racist stereotype -

Fridge replied to SuperpoweredSuperfly's topic in Media Discussion
I like anime, but I understand people not liking it. The thing is I find that it depends on the type of anime you get exposed to at first. Most people get exposed to the kids stuff first and it forever taints their view. That being said, there are some people out there that just don't "get" anime in the same way I just don't "get" soap operas. -
I have one I'd like to hear your opinion on if you don't mind, I'll just put a link to it rather than copy paste the whole thing. http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/scarlet-star-r2707 Here's the picture anyway though (please forgive the cutie mark, it's a placeholder for now); I'd like any feedback I can get as these are two of my main characters in a series I'm working on. Of course if anyone else wants to throw in their two cents feel free Of all your characters I particularly like Butch, partly because he's not a pony or changling so points for originality in my book. I like that he essentially got luck to achieve his status.

I think the term 'oppressed' is the wrong word to use in this instance. People are just kind of sick of hearing the negative attitude. Now I wasn't party to the discussion but I've seen it's like all over the place. As the first response said, the tone and wording make a huge difference in the reception of a given statement.

The quick answer to this is no. The human body wasn't designed to last, even taking the idea of the body lasting, the human mind wouldn't be able to retain the information and since you can't actually forget anything as the subconscious retains pretty much everything around us, eventually you'd have a memory overload. Since you can't die this could only lead to one thing... Insanity. Even if that doesn't happen think of all the misery you would see, friends and family dying, nations falling, war etc. The thing that makes life worth living is actually living your life, if you have all the time in the world what motivation is there to do anything?

Well this summer I've got a few things going on. I'm volunteering at Glastonbury festival to build one of the fields (so that's a month gone), after a short rest I'm doing a few work shops on circus skills, then I'm cycling along the southern coast of the UK for charity. In amongst all that I've got to sort out my garden so my gf can grow stuff and help a friend construct his garden and workshop. Oh and I have a business to run, but that's easy. Oh and there's Buck in Manchester to attend

My personal definition of 'hater' is someone that hates a given subject with such vehemence that they go out of their way to state it, but it should be added they will state their dislike in a derogatory and I constructive way.. A example; I don't like bronies or My little pony so I shall go on a MLP related site to state this"

Rock. Dubstep is fine and I don't mind it, but I'll always choose rock it's actually got lyrics that make sense and can comment on political and social issues (well some do, most don't). So far I've not heard any dubstep that's done that, the closest was Pitchshifter and that was a metal band with dubstep elements.

I'd like to throw my hat in the ring. I'd also like to hear your thoughts on the character Her names Scarlet Star. If you want reference to her character; http://mlpforums.com/page/roleplay-characters/_/scarlet-star-r2707

After watching the trailer i can honestly say that it actually looks no worse or better than I expected. On a side note... That villain/antagonist character looks a lot like a pony that someone posted earlier, I think it was a thread about a possible extra character to the mane 6. *hunts for thread link* Found it! http://mlpforums.com/topic/52838-possible-new-mane-6-character-in-season-4/ And for those of you who can't be bothered to click it; It's not just me that see's that surely? So that now makes me wonder if perhaps she might be an antagonist for season 4. Which then begs the question... If she IS an antagonist for season 4 wouldn't that make Equestria Girls canon?

What do you love about MLP and its fandom?
Fridge replied to Crazy Misty's topic in Sugarcube Corner
I've actually not seen many shows that do have a moral message, perhaps I've been unobservant. True they don't really do conflict at least not in the traditional sense, but then the original demographic probably wouldn't appreciate it. Funnily enough it's the comic books that have all the conflict etc, and a lot more references for older fans. -

Fridge replied to Crazy Misty's topic in Sugarcube Corner
I like the fact that it harks back to the old cartoons, loony toons and the like. Admittedly not all the time but fairly regularly and usually with Pinkie although the other characters get their moments. It's also nice to watch a show that actually gives a moral message as well, I actually missed that about cartoons, and the characters are nicely rounded having flaws and strengths, something that's rare to find these days. Admittedly it does regularly skirt along the edge of being cheesy, especially the first two episodes. As for the fandom, the sheer level of creativity that seems to be pumped out is inspiring. Also the fact that this is the most tightknit and supportive fandom I've ever come across. -
gaming Am I the only person who thinks that Mario ISN'T that great a videogame hero?
Fridge replied to Sazama Ichida's topic in Media Discussion
I'm not such a big fan either. The games were pretty solid back in the 80's and 90's and Paper and Galaxy were nice spins on it but the truth of the matter is he could easily be replaced. But he's iconic, and trying to dethrone him is pointless as there is a army of rabid Nintendo fanboys (and girls) that will defend him regardless of how good the arguments are. In my eyes te est video game protagonist I've come across was Jade from Beyond Good and Evil. -
Oh very cool! I love seeing these they're so cute I shall put forward my 2nd favourite OC Scarlet Star, I would ask for my other favourite but the pictures not in colour
