98% of the time, people just ask "How are you doing?" because it's "socially appropriate".

Is there something wrong about that?

I personally dislike it. It's fake. It's lies. If you don't care, don't ask. I word things very bluntly, and I don't put on a little act whenever being social; that's just how I am. Most others are not like me, and I understand that, but it still gets on my nerves, no matter how immature of a reason it may be.
