They are better because they are minimalist, aluminum, clean, designed for the user and actually well made. Apple virtually had a monopoly on it's entire laptop making process which ensures quality construction. I have owned literally 7 none apple computers and they have ALL had at least one problem within 3 months of owning them. I've had my mac air for maybe 2 and 1/2 months and not a single problem at all. Not even a hit of a problem.

Startrek just looks tacky.
