  1. That would be the greatest plot twist in the show! But at the same time, think about what kind of lesson that would teach... In bridle gossip, the moral of the story was don't judge people because they're different/don't stereotype/don't jump to wild conclusions based on appearance. That would completely go against that lesson now, wouldn't it? Its the equivalent of saying to kids "Don't jump to wild theories about Zecora because she looks different than you, she's just from a foreign place....*bwhaahahha who are we kidding she was evil all along!*"
  2. For the most part, I'd say the majority are uninterested in sex, although Rarity and Twilight seem to be the only ones to have shown any interest at all in other ponies. Rarity fantasizes about stallions all the time, and then Twilight seemed interested in Flash Sentry.... But that doesn't automatically make it sexual interest.
  3. Most powerful because they are the hard labor class/race? Eh, that just doesn't cut it. Especially since if they were to stop farming in retaliation, they'd also starve. I'd like to see more Earth ponies in higher, more dignified roles than that. There is definitely unequal distribution of power among the races. I for one think there needs to be an earth pony revolution.
  4. Team Fortress 2!!! I would watch the HELL out of a Team Fortress 2 movie. It would work even better as a TV show. We have 9 well thought out characters with distinct personalities at constant war against basically their clones to protect a mysterious objective from someone higher up. Chaos insues. What more could you possibly want? Hell, watch this 14 minute mini-movie of it, and watch the videos if you haven't already. I want, no, NEED more. These characters have so much potential.
  5. Blehh lag. Sniper's pretty fun too, although I usually use the huntsman because I have this soft spot for projectile weapons. My time with the crusader's crossbow translates well with the huntsman... and its fun to pin people to walls.
  6. Ah i was just playing TF2 as well. I'm a medic....battle medic.
  7. Definitely a visual/tactical learner. To study or prepare for my art history class, I sketched each art piece in my notebook alongside important facts. The process of sketching them out helped me remember the facts next to them more easily since i would see the art piece every time i read my notes. I also learn well by watching someone do something and then trying it myself. A good example of this would be origami videos. My auditory learning skills are horrendous though. A few seconds of explanation and I start to zone out. I was always horrible at math for this reason. If I asked for help on a problem my teachers would just verbally tell me how to solve it and I would walk back to my desk with no clue what they had just told me.
  8. *difficult or obnoxious camera angles *the "protect this thing" mission where the thing walks around stupidly taking damage from enemies and you have to kill the enemies before it dies *press X to SHAUN. AKA "quicktime events" *games with a ton of confusing button combinations *terrible voice acting. If its gonna be poorly done they shouldn't even bother. *poorly done "realistic" graphics. the humans just get plain creepy looking. *grindfests
  9. I get where you're coming from, I never had much interest in the songs until i started hearing all the fan remixes and stuff. Its an entirely new genre of its own, and if you like drastically different kinds of music it may not appeal to you. A lot of it is hit and miss for me. This season I really liked Apples to the Core and the songs from Pinkie Pride were all kinda nifty. The rest were pretty meh in my opinion. I'm not sure what it is, but it seems like the songs from earlier seasons were better. Or maybe others have influenced my opinions on the matter. (This Day Aria is probably my favorite ever because its epic and dramatic AND a villain song)
  10. Simply put, a Mary Sue is a character who lacks substantial flaws. When I say flaws, I mean traits that emotionally, morally and physically limit the character. Take spider man for example. He's not a Gary Stu, because he has both physical limits (while he can take a punch, he's not invulnerable), moral limits (he's a good-hearted character, but displayed a desire for revenge in the movies) and emotional limits (suffers chronic heartbreak and endured emotionally hard things) Early superman had little to none of these traits. He was a Gary Stu. Now Mary Sues are not well written characters, but if the rest of the story they are in is good most people wont mind. That's why characters like Superman and Goku are still so popular despite being rather bland. It all depends on the story itself. Anyway, I personally think that Twilight could use more moral limitations but I'm not gonna start that argument again....
  11. Yup, mine's a weird Earth pony who works in a taco shop. She's mostly average aside from some personality quirks, so nothing to complain about there.
  12. We describe things in ways that work best with our system. In your pool example, I obviously wouldn't be setting my goal in miles, I'd decide how many yards I want to swim that day. Or instead of the pool being marked as 25 yards, it'll be marked as whatever fraction of a mile the pool is. Alot of places will provide information for you in whatever way is easiest to convert. For instance, there's this indoor track that has a ground markings which display how many laps equal a mile. I don't know exactly how many inches are in that track, but based on what little information is provided I can determine how many laps I need for nearly any goal I set. Point is that we live with the imperial system every day, and it doesn't inconvenience us until you all start demanding we convert it based on your system.
  13. But...but... I like imperial! I know we *should* use the metric system because it's easier to convert and everyone else nags us about it, but I don't want to personally. When I say something's a foot, an inch, or a mile long, it's easy for me to visualize because I associate it with real tangible things. A foot is like a foot, an inch is like the mid section of my index finger, a yard is 3 feet, etc. When it comes down to comparing millimeters to kilometers I haven't a clue what they are supposed to actually look like. The only use I see in the metric system is when you need perfectly exact measurements of something.
  14. The huge difference is that Luna redeems herself, while Azula actually became worse. Luna redeemed herself by doing "jail time" for 1000 years, apologizing to everyone for what she did, and becoming a protaganistic character again (helping her sister protect their kingdom from threats). She even helps the ponies of her kingdom on her own time by acting as a guardian, or wisdom for them through their dreams. She was originally a neutral character, became bad, realized the error of her ways, and then makes up for it in the end. She is a lot more like Zuko than Azula. Zuko is a direct contrast to Azula. They start out in very similar situations, with one of their parents favoring one child over the other, leaving the other child feeling rejected. Their personalities and paths soon diverge, and they eventually end up on opposite ends of the morality spectrum. Zuko realizes what he's become and changes his ways. Azula realizes that she's a monster, and decides that even though this realization emotionally hurts her, she'd rather fully embrace her dark side. This is why she remained a despicable character for you and a lot of people. I don't think she was expected to be sympathized with, but rather to be viewed as an example of what Zuko could've become had he chosen to go down the same path. Personally, I actually really liked Azula, just because she was so well written She's the perfect villain: dangerous, sociopathic, driven, obsessed, and with one major flaw which leads to one of the greatest villainous downfalls I've ever seen on TV. She's so perfectly evil, yet still manages to feel like a believable character.
  15. I'd be an anti-villain. On one hand, I have a strong conscious and tend to feel bad about doing bad things. I tend to be too nice, and am bad at being aggressive. On the other hand I sometimes WANT to do bad things. I'm such a goody two shoes that even I get tired of it. Sometimes I just want to experience the dark side and bask in the delicious satisfaction of revenge and mischevious deeds. I also have a morbid sense of humor.
  16. I had a dream I had a baby, and I felt a genuine motherly connection to the non-existent person. I was actually kinda sad when I woke up and remembered that it was all just a dream and the child was never real. (of course I was also relieved since I don't actually want a baby right now, but maybe someday I will)
  17. Maybe in the pony universe dies hair opposite to our world? In the human world, we percieve plain old common hair colors to be colors such as brown, blonde, grey, and black. When we want to stand out, we dye our hair unnatural colors. In the pony universe, the natural hair colors are all overly bright colors like pinks, blues, etc. So maybe when they want to stand out, they dye their hair "natural" earth colors?
  18. Plot Twist: Twilight's home is destroyed for the sake of plot convenience. But then a new one conveniently happens to randomly sprout out of the ground because the tree of harmony somehow sensed she needs a new place to crash. Oh wait.... Plot Twist: Twilight is actually Celestia's daughter..... (Thus Mr. & Mrs. Sparkle and Shining Armor are her adoptive family and not related) NOOOOOO
  19. I like the way he's been written so far, although i thought he was too easily fooled by Tirek in the finale. Considering that Discord is a master of manipulation himself, you'd think he'd be able to see when someones trying to pull the wool over his eyes. I would've liked to see him put up more of a fight against Tirek. Still, I've enjoyed his character arc very much. I thought the execution of him learning the true meaning of friendship was perfect. The writers seem to have fun with Discord, which is all i really want. As long as Discord is being chaotic, I am happy with him.
  20. I would go with light or water. Water because it is essential to life itself and can exist in many states which could be used in a variety of ways. It seems like there's a lot of potential in it. I also think light actually sounds pretty interesting. Controlling darkness would hardly do anything spectacular or useful. But the power to control light itself though would include harnessing the energy from the sun to basically create destructive solar beams (like using a magnifying glass to create fire) manipulation of the color spectrum, messing with electronics that depend on light etc. You could theoretically control darkness as well since darkness is merely the absence of light.
  21. I have an even amount of guy friends vs girl friends who i hang out with regularly. But the two groups tend to be separate. Me and my group of girl friends like to have girls-only bonding time and its a lot of fun. I never really "bond" with the guys, its more like I'm invited by my one main guy friend and he invites a bunch of distant acquaintances. The only thing I have in common with those guys is that one mutual friend who I know really well, and its usually a different group of boys each time. I tend to be the only female at these get togethers. Occasionally the two groups might mix and there might be an even amount of girls and guys there. I like my girl friends more, cause I know them really well. And we get to do girly things like have sleep overs and tea parties (i'm serious)
  22. I met Richard Horvitz at a anime/gaming con He voices a bunch of awesome characters like Billy from grim adventures, Razputin from Psychonauts, and Zim from Invader Zim. I was super shy and only said hi, but my friends were having a blast chatting with him. He seemed like a very friendly and fun person to be around. My friend got her Pychonauts poster signed by him.
