My stepmom made a comment about how when she went to college she went to target with her roommate and they spent $100 on stuff for their dorm (implying that I'm spoiled for getting things like a mattress pad). It took everything not to respond with "Yeah, but I'm not going to get pregnant and drop out like you did".

Might be off to Disneyland Paris in March 2014-Need some advice!

Don't be afraid to be a child there. I'm 18 and I want to go back to Disneyland soooooo bad! I was there last when I was almost 17 on a band trip and it was so much fun! I got asked out while watching the wonderful world of color, it was romantic, not childish. Disneyland is for everyone, not just kids. Sure there will be things there that are more oriented towards kids, but don't be embarrassed to do them if you want to. I have a friend that just went there with her parents as a graduation present. One thing I would suggest, don't waste time meeting the characters. I did that when I went when I was little and it was fun to collect their signatures, but it really wasn't worth all the waiting in lines to meet a person in a costume. I'm glad I spent more time going on rides last time instead of meeting characters. But if there's one you have your heart set on meeting, then go for it! It's all about what you want. Most things in the park are pure magic, especially the details that Disney puts into everything, but personally I didn't find the characters all that "magical". Unless you can watch a parade with the characters, that's a better experience in my opinion. As for souvenirs, you'll probably be overwhelmed with choices of things to get! But everything there is expensive, so it's better to spend most of your money on one thing that you really want than a bunch of small things you'll forget about in a few months. -

They pretty much covered what you can't post here, but besides that most any /discussion/ is tolerated here, so long as it's tasteful and especially if it's thought-provoking. If you ever have questions about something you want to post, or where to post it, don't be afraid to ask a staff member, or a member that's been here a while. Also, if something you posted is in the wrong area the staff are good about moving it and politely letting you know. Sometimes the "map" of where to post gets confusing and that's okay! It happens. Welcome

It may be strange, but it's the smell of my ex-boyfriend. Even without any emotional connection to him. Sometimes when I'm around him and I smell him it makes me miss the smell. Not him. Just the smell. And now I sound weird. But other people like how he smells too. It's a mixture of his shampoo/laundry detergent/deodorant/dryer sheets/just him. Something about it was just really relaxing and made me feel safe. If I ever find someone that smells even remotely like him I'll have to marry them.

To be able to spend Thanksgiving with my family I have to take a total of 6 planes within 50 hours. I'll take three planes to Tennessee, be there for 29 hours, and take three planes back.

Said goodbye to the first of my friends leaving for school today. That was a hard goodbye, and I almost cried. But on the plus side I'm super excited for my tablet to get here tomorrow. :3
