The forum doesn't have to have privacy settings because you control how much information you want to post. You can post as little or as much information as you want. I don't find people following this topic creepy because they're most likely curious as to what their friends look like. I'm an extremely visual person so I like to know what the people I'm talking to look like. Until I've seen a picture of them it's like they're not real to me. I'm not scared of what anyone would use any pictures of me for because it doesn't affect me until they try to stalk me. Except that none of my pictures reveal anything about my current location, only where I've been in the past. Everything I post on here is already on facebook. But I dare someone to find me here among 100,000+ other students and then what? Follow me to my dorm with several hundred more people? (Please don't actually follow me though I get that enough in real life)

Unless you dont want a girlfriend anymore I hope you would go with her. She should be more important to you than any show. And like everyone else said...you can watch it later. -
I probably would not go there, I like Earth just fine and especially the people here. I would feel very weird about hanging out with ponies. I'd rather admire them from here. In reference to the original post... This is why I liked the character limit.

After several gas leaks, a city water main break, a residence hall bomb threat, and a three city power outage all within the last week people would realize that Oregon State is actually cursed.

Do you have an specific examples of being treated differently than males who like the show? It's true that society will view bronies as male, but that's the only discrimination I've seen. As a female that likes the show I've gotten the same ridicule from people in real life that others do. But in the past couple years on this forum the number of females has grown immensely, it's no longer a rare thing. Which is why I no longer feel thT females are viewed as "out of place" within the brony community and it's become normal for both genders to like the show.

Christianity will never be outlawed in most places, and especially not in the United States. Bill Nye is a great scientist but he has a hard time looking at things from another point of view. A lot of atheists don't realize that it's possible to believe in a mixture of creationism and evolution so they condemn any sort of creationism talk. There are lots of extremists on both ends of everything, but they generally aren't going to accomplish anything and they certainly aren't something to be afraid of.
