Salty is in a race around the world with the other big brother ponies. When he arrives back home, a mysterious woman named Somnambula puts all adult ponies under a strange trance. With the help of the other big brothers, Salty is on a mission to help bring the other ponies home and stop Somnambula.
Salty is brave and strong like the other Big Brother Ponies. He, along with the other big brothers, went on a rescue mission to save the little ponies after Somnambula hypnotized them. Salty likes ships, boats and sailing the seas.

Salty is a blue earth pony. He has a purple mane with a pink stripe in it. His tail is purple. He has strong, Clydesdale style hooves. His eyes are a bright yellow with a slight tint of orange. He may also wear a lime green bandanna with white spots and a white sailor's cap labeled "S.S. Pony" in green text.
