Zecora

Not much is known of this zebra fair,

but in Equestra it is terribly rare,

to see one such as herself 

aiding ponies with that from her shelf.

Not much is known about her in times past, 

and though her knowledge is very vast, 

upon her arrival in Ponyville,

the town became very still.

The ponyfolk, they were afraid,

for they had never seen a maid,

with stripes of white and black, for sure,

but she was only trying to procure

her shopping list for the week,

 and the townsponies thought she sought to make them weak.

Upon further inspection it was found

there was no ill will around,

the zebra protruded a kind aura,

this new neighbor named Zecora.

Zecora speaks mainly in rhymes unless under acute distress. While originally she was feared by most in Ponyville for looking different, she quickly became respected and liked by all around her. Self assured and knowledgeable, Zecora exudes a friendliness and warmth, while still valuing time for herself. Zecora is incredibly patient, and is happy to show others her craft, or help in collecting herbs, and is very gracious with her time. She is relied upon in the community greatly, and though her knowledge is vast, she will readily admit when she doesn’t know something.

Zecora is around the same size as other mares, but has a more squared off jaw, and lacks eyelashes, giving her a more masculine look than most mares. She wears 5 necklaces, as well as 5 anklets around her left foreleg. She wears a large hoop in each of her ears. Her body and tail are grey with darker grey stripes, while her mane is white with dark grey stripes.   Her hooves are black. She has dark teal eyes.
